More About Resident Portal

The ResidentPortal app provides a convenient way to pay rent, submit maintenance orders with photos, and communicate with your apartment community all from your mobile phone.
Residents have the ability to pay rent with a single tap, manage one-time or recurring rent payments and receive rent reminder push notifications with the app (see below for a list of key features).

Much of the ResidentPortal app is configurable by the property in which you live. Property settings include, but are not limited to, payment methods, payment days, full balance payment requirements, or maintenance request availability.

If you have feedback, suggestions or bugs about the app itself, please email rpapp@entrata.com, we would love to hear from you!

ResidentPortal App Features:

• Make a One Time Payment - Easily submit a one time payment with the same trusted payment platform you have always used.
• Add/Delete Recurring Payments - Easily schedule new auto-payments ensuring your rent will never be late.
• One-Tap Pay - Pay rent with a single tap right from your smartphone. The app remembers your last used payment method and knows your exact balance due.
• RentNotify - Sends push notifications to your device, reminding you to pay rent.
• Contact Property - Contact your property directly from the app. The app automatically routes your call to the appropriate after-hours number when the office closes.

convenient and relatively easy to use. you may have to enter the information for an actual bank/credit union account, rather than just information for a debit or credit card, in order to avoid a convenience fee. kinda weird, but that's money I guess. I've also been able to submit maintenance requests through the app as well, which is super nice. you can even rate how important the repair is. where I live, our maintenance guys are very quick to respond.

Solid app, but gotta give it three stars because of a security risk: Running on android pie, galaxy s8+. When I type in my password, it shows up in the autocomplete field in plaintext. I suspect this is because a password box isn't being used on the login, but it's computer programming... it could be anything. Might want to look into that, though.

Simple and easy to follow UI. Makes rent payments and maintenance requests a breeze. The ability to see a log of issues reported is great for keeping an eye out for reoccurring problems on a property. A chat functionality in a future update, if possible, could be an excellent way to let a maintenance team know of an emergency situation. I hope more private landlords will turn to this kind of software, so much more convenient than sending a check and hoping it gets cashed on time.

It is a solid app for paying rent. I admit my girlfriend has trouble logging in too often and the truth is it's not a lot but when you have to pay rent one time is often two times is too often and it's been more than twice aside from that it's pretty easy and takes the worry out of it plus it eliminates fees. Although I do wish you could pay with a debit or credit card without fees that doesn't really make sense to me but I'm sure they just want to ensure payment.

"Agree to pay" error. When I try to process a payment on the app, I have to select the option "I agree to fees listed..." when I select that option and try to submit my payment, I get an error message saying "Agreeing to promise to pay is required" and it will not submit my payment even though I selected that option. It's pretty frustrating. And now I'll be suffering from a late fee due to the inconvenience of this app. I prefer paper checks or money orders over an app any day.

Terrible app! I've spent too much time trying to get in! It won't accept my password, fails to send a temp pw to change it. I had to pay rent thru a link my mgr sent. As someone with some visual impairment, i couldn't read white print on a tan background. I'd be entering my pmt method, & suddenly would be back to homepage- many times! Very frustrated have uninstalled/installed twice.

it's pretty simple app to use.. the are a few things that need tweaking, like where you go to add payment, you can only see pay off the buttons, they overlap. And should give us a different option to be able to pay with or debit cards.. not have to use expensive Western Union! I don't use the app because of that. I only b use it to see my balance each month.

The app is easy to use but at the time of writing this review the automatic payment option is broken. When the apartment posts the bill in multiple parts (ex: rent then water later, valet trash later, etc) you will get charged for the full automatic payment amount on each posts so you would get double or even triple charged. This needs to be fixed so that the automatic payment only happens once.

The app isn't bad but there is a glaring problem. There is no confirm payment prompts nor a way to cancel a payment after posting. So if you split rent with a roommate and you accidentally pay the whole rent, there is no way (at the time of this writing) to fix it. Please add a prompt "Are you sure you want to pay ____?" It's 4 lines of code and would make life easier.

Works fine once you log in, but it only logs in successfully the first time you enter credentials. After closing the app and coming back a day or so later, it hangs on the "logging in" screen after fingerprint authentication. Every. Time. the only solution is to clear data and reinstall. I'm always updated to the latest app version. the only thing I can think is that it's simply incompatible with Android 8 since I do recall it working consistently at some point last year before my LG V30 update

Overall, it works ok. Sometimes it gets stuck processing a function & I must exit. I can't recall last time that happened w another app. In one area its interface was designed very poorly. How many, many, many, many, many, many, many subcategories must one scroll through to select a maintenence issue? More than 25? Only about 7 display at a time. Scrolling thru takes too long. Then one may have to scroll up to review again. Use layers of categories within which user selects like subcategories.

I am a bit shocked to see so many positive reviews here. It is not a well-crafted app, and I have been using it only because it is required by my apartment. Speaking of their web, they organize useful information in a counterintuitive way. The app is very slow. It was impossible for me to look for my address. Neither putting the entire address or key words and using my location worked.

I can no longer log in through any other way other than the app even with that same password and email. I even tried to reset it, but suddenly the system doesn't recognize my email address except for in the app of course. This needs to be fixed or an upfront warning that the app locks your log in to it only. I was at a remote desktop and couldn't log in. I had to use my phone and this app and that really was a huge inconvenience.

I think it has a lot of potential, but parts of it dont seem to be updated regularly. For example , when I go to look up payment history, the last date was for may 2018. I realize that spouse and I pay from different accounts, but I think our rental payments history should be accessible on one page. Maintenance section seems to work well , my requests always get an immediate response. I think the app could be a great community forum as well, if such were added. Such as, items for sale or giving away; requests for walking partners, etc.

Mixed opinion. Yes, the portal makes it easy to communicate with the ownership, and submitting maintenance requests is a breeze, also the portal is very user friendly. However; The permissions the app requests are extremely intrusive, with the added ability to capture sound, images, and video without the user being aware they're being monitored. This is problematic to say the least. Tenants have their right to privacy within their own home, and should be given all the details of the app

It really makes paying your rent bill easier and ordering maintenance work super quick but I wish it offered a little more to make it even more accessible and user-friendly. It's a tad glitchy in the UX but still gets the job done. I also can't stand the $2 fee for using your bank. Makes no sense. Most apps of this nature only charge if you use a credit card, not a bank. It's quite annoying. I'd rather have bought the app than to pay $2/month to use this app.

Love the app, easy and convenient. However; it seems like after the most recent update, once I try to log in it freezes on the "Logging I screen with the circle at the top not moving. I typically have to go Into the app settings, delete the cache data and all the other stored data. Once that's done, I have to re log into it.. it's getting a bit old. I've deleted the app, and redownloaded it and I've got the same problem. Other than that, the app it great and I would definitely reccomend.

One of the worst developed apps I've used. The interface went from slow with dramatic transitions, to being buggy and not well thought out. Has product management or engineers actually documented the journey through each use case? If so, I'd think they would see the mistakes and bugs quickly. It's been this way for years and unfortunately the feedback doesn't seem to be used.

It kept saying "request timeout" and bringing me back to the payment screen, instead of the usual receipt/confirmation screen when I was trying to pay for something. I tried using both wifi and my phone's data, getting the same problem. I just kept trying to pay and hoping it'd finally go through. Later, I found out it did go through... 9 times. Totalling an extra $3000. I had to go through a lot of stress and phone calls to the bank to cancel the extra payments. The app kinda sucks lol

Great app other than it periodically unlinks your bank account (you have to do a direct deposit if you want to be charged a 3 dollar "convenience" fee) and that it wants to charge a 26 dollar "convenience" fee if you're wanting to use your credit card (Discover) so that you can at least get rewards for paying your rent. Idk if it's the app itself of the institution that I'm renting through, but come on! This is ridiculous! The app is easy to use, but slow. Probably a 4 star if not for the fees.
