Frustrating. I can make lists and save places. What I can't do is unheart places. I've don't it 20 times. Gone to the actual listing gone back and hit again the heart on the listing on my list. Back out of list. Close app. It's still there. We are trying to narrow down a list and the app frustrating. We'll be looking at using another app since other apps have same or similar properties listed. Again, it's the app not the services. Fix your app! App is updated Y direct me to site and not fix app?

I am both a host and a traveler on airbnb for some time now and have to say that the application has become borderline unusable recently. While hosting, the cache doesn't clear after you make changes to pricing or booking restrictions. Messages also don't populate at the time they are received which has cost me several thousands of dollars in lost bookings. When traveling, you are now FORCED to select one of 60 categories to try and book a place. Just show me all the listings as default. Fees

Have yet to have a smooth experience with AIRBNB. From their poorly designed "category" filter that doesn't have a show all option, to their ridiculous verification process which can also deny last minute reservations, I have yet to be satisfied with airbnb. I just made a reservation which did go a little smoother this time so far, but I don't have much faith this won't be headache free..

Website and app are completely unusable. Unable to book anything without getting an aneurysm. Just so terribly designed. I would go into detail but there's so much wrong with the user experience I honestly don't know where to start. Fire everyone and start over from scratch. Just one example: When selecting a location, North America is not an option but every other continent is! What is going on?!

Trying to book is very unstable. It asks you to add a message to the host, then a pic, and each time you do, it drops the previous info, and you have to start again. I added the messsge a pic and the insurance, and even after the 3rd time, the reservation dropped the pic and the insurance. Well, at least the message went through,... I think.

This app used to be the gold standard for cool spots to stay. I still like finding a place that isn't a hotel during my travels, but the advertised prices don't include the added on fees which frequently cost as much as the stay if you're only staying for a night or 2. Once you add that in, it's no longer economically competitive like it used to be.

There are full screen pop up ads asking me, I think, to list my house on Airbnb. I don't own a house. There is no reason to show me this ad multiple times when I'm just trying to use your app, and this is completely unacceptable. On top of that there are many other issues making the app near unusable. For example, I'm trying to send a message to my host but the keyboard covers up the text box so I can't see what I'm typing.

I'm a host, this app is completely messed up, even after re-installing. Messages don't clear, I have a check in today but it says I don't on the main screen but I do on the calendar. Messages stay in the text box even after you send them. You would think with all the money they make off of guests and hosts, they could hire a competent IT department to ensure a fully functioning app

I had my reservation cancelled the evening of my arrival, and the website and app did not work when it should. Kept getting errors and customer service couldn't figure out what that meant. The customer service finally found someone who can help in 3 days or so, and my trip ended by then. I had to change the travel plan and book a hotel. Beware. ** To the support: I don't require help any more. The software and process are both flaky, and caught me at a wrong time. The damage is done.

This app has gone downhill in the last few months. On the conversation screen, the keyboard overlaps the text box so you can't check what you're typing. Some text boxes don't auto capitalize text. I'm getting a pop-up to set up my home as a host. I don't own a home... Notification indicators also sometimes don't update in the app. Message notifications are not dismissed when a message is read inside the app. Definitely needs a strong bug fixing push.

I spend a good portion of each year living out of short term rentals and Airbnb has the largest selection of quality options. However, finding those options is exceptionally difficult. The lack of useful search filters and inability to sort search results is incredibly frustrating. The categories are ridiculous and useless. With every update we lose more filters. It's as if the designers of this app go out of their way to make searching for listings as difficult as possible.

This app could be a whole lot better. When you search on the map, if you don't have the right kind house/rental selected in that area it won't show you what airbnb is there. But if you change the kind in that area the map goes to a different place. I love STAYING at airbnbs but to find them is very frustrating because of the un-userfreindliness of the app.

I'm a big fan of staying at Airbnbs, especially with high rates for hotels, so I really love this app. It's easy to search and add amenities you're looking for, and my favorite feature is the wish list. It's easy to add and organize homes for future stays. It's also easy to view photos and reviews, and message your host directly. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

Recently a problem with dark/light theme in the app appears. Android 14. The optional theme on the phone is dark, as I understand the app tries to set itself, but it's really messed up (partly dark, the text impossible to read). To get the light theme I have to reset the phone. This is irritating. Everything else is fine. I use Airbnb everytime I need to find a comfortable stay-in for a trip.

I like this app so far. I like that you can add a king bed to the search now too. I just wish there were search options for places that are more secluded, that don't have shared walls, places with outdoor couches (or some kind of 2-person seating), places with dishwashers or to be able to set a minimum bed size. That would definitely help me find a compatible romantic getaway quicker.

Really annoying that when you look at the map for pricing it will say something like $115 but then you go to reserve it and there's a hundred dollars in extra fees 🙄 Hadn't used the app in a long time and thought of booking a few nights to study, but I think I'll just stick with my usual hotel. If you see something that's $125, just know what they REALLY mean is $250. Ridiculous. Just post the prices honestly on the map.

As a host, it does what it needs to do. But the messaging module is annoying: 1) Text box is too small, displays only 4 lines, so you can't see what you wrote above that (unless you scroll the message). 2) The "send" button is *inside* the text box. It's easy to inadvertently hit it trying to relocate the cursor to edit. Either move it, or at least allow a confirmation b4 sending. May 10 update: messaging module still annoying! And now can't click on a guest in the calendar!
