A very minimal app and unlike the other apps with extra slots that opens up to another page with the rest of the apps, this just has the necessary. Though the only change I would ask for is the ability to change the app names for everyone as this is very crucial.

Its great, I appreciate that changing the launcher can now be done in two taps. It makes a surprisingly big difference to comfort of use. The only downside is that its hard for me to limit myself to just 8 apps. I have a number of apps I need daily for practical reasons so I end up switching a lot. 10 would be much easier and still minimalist if you ask me. It being limited to just 8 makes it more suitable for a weekend or a holiday, not daily use.

This is the best of the minimalist digital detox phone launchers that I have tried. It's beauty is in its extreme simplicity. With the other launchers I tried, I found myself replacing my old app habits with fiddling with the launcher settings instead (I know, I have a problem lol). But this is SO simple, there's nothing to do but pick your only 4 apps (or 8 if you pay the very small fee for premium). THANK-YOU to the app developers, amazing ultra simple app that's saving me from myself!

I have used this launcher for almost a year now, and it is a constant productivity booster in my life. No more app logos beckoning you to waste time with them. Just distraction-free access to the apps you use most, and a (just difficult enough) way to open the apps you'd rather use less. The app developer is really on the ball with updates as well, and going pro was definitely worth it.

Excellent app, was happy to pay for paid version! However, a couple recommendations: First, there must be a way to filter notifications. Necessary for not only productivity, but making the concept of this launcher work. If you're getting a bunch of notifications from Discord or whatever, it won't matter if it's on your homepage. Maybe there could be an out-of-the-way place to access notifications when you aren't busy. Second, there's got to be a way of accessing other apps in a pinch. Thanks!

this app is truly great, I really enjoy the ability to simplify my phone experience. However, I would very much like to see the option to reorganize your applications within the settings menu without having to go through each app individually, for reasons such as alphabetizing my apps quickly and easily.

Been using for a while and it's great for taking a break from all the smart phone nonsense. Two things I'd love in a future version: * access to a group of useful utilities in addition to the user's selected apps (ex. Stopwatch, calculator, notepad, etc) * being able to choose a background picture Thanks for the great job with this app.

so far so good. EXACTLY what i was looking for. helps me really intentionally use my phone for the things i actually need it for. i was thinking about getting a flip phone until i found this app. i just use my phone for text, call, camera, alarm, music and google drive (for work). i paid for the app so i could have more than 4 apps on the home screen and the black theme, and for me it is worth it.

No more swiping around my home screen and no distracting colors or widgets. This launcher forces me to be intentional about my phone usage, but doesn't actually restrict my phone's functionality! I can still access any app with voice assistant or from a notification etc, which was a concern for me. I was worried I'd have to make Cash App one of my select few because I legitimately need it to pay friends, but I can just activate assistant and say "Cash App" and there we go!

needs some work, but this app is beautifully refreshing. i wanted to get away from my smartphone and buy a minimalistic flip phone.. but this makes that unnecessary! this is perfect.. and I hope there's more to come. Edit: PLEASE don't forget that this is LESS PHONE, and please don't add extra app slots, or more usability. even somebody who doesn't agree with it may fall into the addiction and use it.. more. which will render this launcher more and more redundant.

it's incredible for what it is, but my only gripe (which I'm sure theres no way to fix) is that workarounds are very easy. I have bixby on my phone and I cant turn it off, or I can just check a menu item to go back to normal. I dont expect there is anything that can be done, but it does make the app less useful for people with no self control like myself.

Just what i am looking for, but needs more than custom app slots for it to be functional for me (one for camera, calls, messages, calendar, and music). I would suggest to expand the 4 slots to be for 4 categories that expand into 2 apps each (like phone, productivity, media, and utilities), thus creating 8 app options while keeping the 4 category interfact on main screen. Needs to provide just a bit more options for it to be fully functional for me. But the interface is perfect for what i want! Just not developed enough. I need a happy medium between this and total freedom with apps.

I've been longing to go back to the flip phone, but this is actually better. You can use any app you have, but you have to go through your settings and place it on the main home screen to use it, so quick internet searches, checking email, or any attempt to distract yourself, even briefly, require more effort than they're worth. My phone is actually a tool now that enriches my life, and not a time consuming distraction. Really simple but genius app for those who want to disconnect.

Awesome for digital minimalism. Hopefully this helps break my behavioral addiction habits with my phone without my needing to go out and buy a flip phone and digital camera, Garmin, etc. Two things I would change after using this app: 1. Allow people to change to using the standard notification bar in the settings. 2. Fix how many times I have to press "back" in order for it to register, and other buttons sometimes that don't register the first time you press them.

Simple, elegant, and effective! Removes the temptation of all those pavlovian bright colors and apps on your home screen without resorting to draconian measures like putting your phone in black and white only or down-grading to a dumb phone. Dark mode is only $1.99 and well worth it. Best part is that you maintain your phone's full functionality if you need it, just behind the serenity of the LessPhone launcher. Nothing is really "locked" out. Love it!

Awesome execution on the digital minimalism idea... The only reason I'm reserving a star is because (1) I'd like to see the option to rename the apps in the list (2) the date and weather widget similar to pixel launcher but themed for lessphone and (3) support for the new gesture navigation in Android 10... it's still quite new though so no real fault for that not being added yet. This is definitely one of those apps that will completely change the way you use your phone, and for the better!

Phenomenal app. Customizable for the apps you use most. Beautifully simple. Very effective in reducing screen time. Still able to use my Samsung camera (which is a huge reason I'm keeping my phone). I've only had this installed for a day, and I've had a significant reduction in the amount of times I reach for my phone to scroll through Reddit/YouTube/etc. No issues in functionality, and I love the look. Who needs a Light Phone or a Palm Mini when you have this app?! Highly recommend.

This app has changed my relationship with my phone for better. I'm grateful it was created. I was considering getting a Lightphone, but felt that giving up apps like Maps and Uber could put me in unsafe situations. This solved that problem perfectly! The one thing I wish LessPhone did was add the option for the user to edit the app NAMES that appear on the home screen. It would simplify things even further to be able to rename my RSS reader app "News," my Firefox app "Browser," etc. Thanks!

I'm editing my long review from the other day in the hopes that some people read this and stop asking for more app slots on the home screen. I am using XDA Navigation Gestures in conjunction with this launcher and it has resolved my need for a few more app slots. The problem is that we can't seem to find a happy medium between convenience and functionality with today's smartphones. Default launchers make it too easy to waste time on social media, and LessPhone does not quite strike the right balance. So after setting my home screen up with Bluecoins, Maps, Messages, and Call; I was left wanting for my other very important utility apps.With XDA Navigation Gestures I can access Calculator, Chrome, Lastpass, Spotify, and Assistant. Now my phone is set for utility without sacrificing convenience, while still restricting (more like adding hurdles) to open any app that might waste my time. Changed my review from 4 to 5 stars now and purchased the dark theme since this will be my launcher indefinitely.

This app made it possible for me to have a phone again. I get really distracted by all of the bells and whistles of smartphones. I tried candy bar phones and flip phones, but there are very few of them these days, and they all have deal-breaking flaws. I looked at the Light Phone, but it seemed like a lot of money for something that’s still in development. This app makes my phone work exactly like I want it to, with a nice, clean interface. You can still access your phone settings with this launcher, and you can change the launcher to the stock one if you need to. Highly recommend!
