Ever since the April update I can't order ahead any of the collagen drinks or the new green smoothie (looks like all the new drinks have this issue on the app and it always displays "oops something went wrong") and have to go in person and order them separately at the register in addition to my order placed on the app, if this bug could be fixed that be great! I also noticed that the app also STILL gets stuck loading and very slow and this has been a concern voiced in review comments prior.

Loved the app for good long time. Now, my rewards aren't discounted, but since I selected one, such as a free drink, the points are gone. So i have paid full price for drinks, with the app telling me I am using a reward, more than once. I have contacted the company 3 times with no response. App malfunctions and disappearing points with no discounts means I rarely visit caribou any longer.

some decent features. but still shows error too often defeating the purpose of ordering ahead to skip lines. sneaky change to rewards, 150 points could get you any size drink for free, now is limited to large or less. your point system is already low at 2 pts per dollar meaning it costs 75$ to earn a free drink which now is smaller than the XL I always get. give more points per purchase or lower the cost of rewards. you can do better for your loyal customers.

Rewards make it hard to order online: 1) Redeemed rewards only apply to the lowest price item you order, 2) You don't know this until you're on the final checkout screen, 3) Going back at that point dumps your entire cart, so you get to start over if you're not ok with to that. The first two points seem like pretty deliberate design decisions for the app, which is unfortunate. That really hurts an attempt to replicate the awesome vibe with friendly baristas that you get ordering in person.

I cannot register for the app. I keep getting an error that says it is unable to process my request with the information I have provided. Another error said my email or phone number is already in use with an account. I do not have an account (tried the password reset with email) and there is no way to verify the phone number is indeed mine to fix the issue. It would be really nice if there was a Help button available to chat in app or way to send a text from the app to verify your phone number.

This app was designed very well to be engaging and inviting but not pesky. I play the trivia even when I won't be going to the store. My favorite part is being able to see my points and available offers. I mostly don't order ahead because I use a travel mug. But I have ordered ahead on a few occasions and it works great. If I'm not near my usual shop, the app helps me choose a nearby location. Placing the order is very easy. These days (pandemic), most stores will bring the order out to you.

Works like it should I suppose, but don't see the point. You can't order in advance and pick up at the window like other food ordering apps; was recently told at my frequent location that I must come inside to pick up, which I was unaware of. That's the only reason I use apps like this, convenience. Doesn't make sense for Minnesota weather and having 2 toddlers.

Update: The app loading issues have been fixed and it runs a lot smoother now. I've run into no issues placing orders, outside of the interface being a little harder to find what drink you're looking for. It's split between trending/signature/etc when previously hot/cold/blended/etc worked just fine. Coffee and baristas are always great though!

New app absolutely terrible. Very very slow and seems to have bugs when adding/deleting items. Bring the old app back please. Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, it does. If I see "Oops, we spilled our coffee one more time, I'm going to find a new place to get coffee. Negative 5 stars. I also like how no one who can fix this bothers to read the reviews. No one likes it and it only keeps getting worse.

Not an unusable app, but really inefficient. Out of funds? You don't learn that until you are at the last of 3 checkout screens, then you need to go back and do it again. Have a favorite location? Good luck setting that as your default. The app chooses any location except for my saved favorite. The app works, but is super inefficient and annoying to use.

Promotional notifications pop up once a day but there is no way to read them and they aren't sent to the app's inbox. the inbox is a useless feature. The only reason to have this app is to see how many points you've earned and to place orders for pick up. **Edit** Where did all of the coffee options go?! There's only 1 hot drink option (hot press) and many of the cold drink options are missing (i.e. Iced Mocha) but the store still serves other options. So much for contactless payments, etc.

I like the convenience of using this app to preorder and get a cup of coffee without having to wait in line. However the app is very slow and prompts a message to check my internet connection, which has full bars an is never an issue for any other apps I use. It sometimes takes longer than waiting in line.

The new app update that went out on 9/23/22 is terrible! It keeps glitching and I repeatedly get the "Oops! We spilled our coffee!" message. I also can no longer order online/ahead at my local store. I used to before the update but now it struggles to find my location and if it does find it, it tells me that order ahead is not available at that location, despite the fact that it was available before the app updated. I do like the new navigation buttons at the bottom though.

Updated review: I'm now getting notifications but unfortunately, the text in the notification gets cut short & when I click it to read more it just takes me to the welcome screen of the app and I have no where to go to read the rest of the alert?? But more recently the app is crashing every time I try to add funds from a gift card. (The same thing happens in Einstein app, even after updates). Will submit help ticket soon. I really love caribou and want to love app but is so frustrating.

I can't use the app. I tried to order, kept getting error messages, finally gave up. Later, I saw charges on my bank account - it looked like an order was placed, twice. I looked at my transaction history on the app and apparently it did go through, but was refunded, twice. However, even though I paid with my debit card, the refund was given as CC credit. So they took my money and now I have to use it at Caribou even if I don't want to. Not happy at all.

Convenient and easy, and the trivia is fun. Definitely a time-saver! Two suggestions: 1) Please add a way to leave a tip for the wonderful baristas! 2) When an update occurs, please give people a little time to update instead of shutting down app access until update is complete. It's frustrating to have money stored in the app and learn while waiting in line that I can't access it until I update the app to the newest version. If I'm short on time or space on my device, I can't update immediately and can't access my funds until I do. I almost deleted the app because of it. Otherwise, great app! Thanks.

This app was difficult when setting up my account: Birthdate. Store location. Tap for combos menu: brought up the map for store location. That was it. No "choose location" tab, nothing, I had to back out. Every time. I never got to see the combos menu. I haven't even used the app to order yet, and already I'm uninstalling this awful app.

Not reliable. I added funds, it ran the credit card, and didn't add the funds, saying there was an address mismatch. Nothing about my info has changed, and customer service made no effort to analyze the problem. While my funds were refunded, I don't need this kind of headache, or sit around wondering if this will happen again. I'm out...deleting my account as soon as I use up the current balance. I don't need your free cup of coffee for 50 reward points. At least my charge was refunded...

Something is always glitching or not working right with the app. I had 3 issues with the app in the last 10 days: it didn't give the right points, a featured perk didn't show up on the day it was supposed to, & the app would not work at all in a different store than the one I normally go to. I've sent multiple notices to corporate to have them help & fix things, but not only have they not responded, they actually took points out of my account. Caribou doesn't care about their customers.

Once upon a time, you used to be able to see the menu without having to actually select a location and start an order, meaning you can't check the menu during off-hours now. The app is also very slow to open on my. Somehow the app has gotten worse in terms of design, usability, and speed over the years. Updated Apr 2024 and the app no longer opens.
