About 1/3 of the time I open the app it is stuck in the tuner screen saying there is a C4 at -47.1 cents and a buffering sign. App must be closed and reopened to fix. As a drum major, I use the manual metronome to count off, then turn on the preset at the spot I want. Sometimes the transition causes an extra measure to be added before moving to the next preset, specifically when the next preset changes tempo. This glitch even happens when activating preset normally, without a manual transition.

PLEASE FIX THE BUGS! SERIOUSLY, PLEASE FIX THE BUGS! There's a major issue with tapping the screen, it often registers the input as lower than the actual location you tapped. And there's an issue with the metronome, where it doesn't allow you to actually edit the count in. It'll take you to the editing screen and give you all these options to start with beats or eighths, etc. But NOTHING WILL ACTUALLY CHANGE. It'll save your preferences, but it'll go right back to [2 bars] and [female voice]

I love this app, it has everything I need and then some. But unfortunately recently I had to uninstall it due to very high battery drain. I personally don't think the developers have spent much time trying to optimize this app for android devices. Having to deal with constant crashes and freezing make this really hard to use. I really wish I could use this app because I love it, but being someone who is in school all day using it I cant afford to have my battery die. My wish to the developer - Spend some time optimizing it for big android flagship devices. I love android but because this doesn't work all that great on it I have many times contemplating switching to an apple device. I own a galaxy s9+

I upgraded to an S22+ and the app no longer "hears" anything. The app does have permission to use the mic. Edit - 2/13/2024: The issue has been fixed. There are stability issues. At times it won't make sounds for the metronome and for pitch. I have to close and restart the app. I use the app every day.

As I am currently concentrating on drumming, I'm more interested in the metronome feature of this app. The thing that persuaded my decision to purchase this app is the fact that the metronome is pretty robust. I especially like the voice count, as this makes drumming to the metronome a lot easier for me. as far as the other features are concerned, I haven't really evaluated them much. I do believe that they'll be useful though since I am a multi-instrumentalist.

Really has been a wonderful tool for teaching and preparation, however, the app regularly hangs on opening and requires a restart of the device. I have gone through the uninstall/ reinstall cycle several times with no improvement whatsoever. I wonder now if it's my android 12 operating system. Too bad because I really enjoyed using this program.

Not as good as the iOS version. In the custom temperament feature, you can't alter the tuning of a note by more than 100 cents, which is dumb because I often need to tune notes that are either close together (e.g. 9:8 and 10:9) or aren't in any standard western tunings (e.g. 35:32, 8:7). I don't like being limited to 12 notes as it is. The iOS version is way more sophisticated. With all that being said, this app is still better than all the other tuner apps I've seen, including Tunable.

I have used this app for years and have been telling people it's the best thing ever since you can create specific met tracks and share them with people. But, the metronome, the single item I use this app for, hasn't worked in MONTHS. I can't select any tempo or subdivision, and the app just crashes whenever I try and load any of my saved presets. All I want is some beep-beep, and the app can't provide that.

I found this app by accident after trying out other tuner/metronome combo that I want to purchase, but found out it is subscription based. I quickly look for other apps that I can purchase outright. This app is awesome, with great features and interface for what you want to focus on. It even has an analysis tab that is not on the app I tried to purchase (love that). Best yet, you can purchase outright instead of subscription.

Absolutely love being able to add an accel/rit to the metronome. There are also many subdivisions that are really help as well. The only problem I have is that I can't play the metronome app while recording a video, which is definitely an essential feature for video assignments. If this problem is only occurring for me, I would love it if someone can help me out with that. Again I love this app, but a small detail like that can hinder some important elements for recording. Thanks! :)

This app is so much more than just a tuner/metronome. The analysis feature is such a powerful tool that can be used in personal practice or with full ensembles. Use it to visually see the consistancy of articulations, pitch, intonation, note tendencies, quality of long tones, etc... I use this with all my students and it works miracles, giving them a visual representation of every aspect of their sound. I would highly recommend it for all musicians and educators.

First, I'd like to say this is best metronome/tuner on the market. With that being said, it can still improve: Quite difficult to be precise in the option to stretch tempo by percentage, perhaps a wheel--like with tempo in metronome--could be easier and more intuitive. Lastly, recording ability can be improved by making it easier to scroll up or down the list of your takes. 4.5/5 ⭐

I like this app a lot, as a college music student I use it regularly, but the metronome is infuriating sometimes. I recently had to reinstall this app to my new phone and it won't let me select the "Auto" function for the met., which is really infuriating because I can't stand the tempo wheel. Other than that issue this app is good, but considering how often I use the metronome for practice I'd really like to know if that's just a bug for the Pixel 6a or something else entirely

Metronome is too quiet. With a loud instrument it is inaudible at maximum volume. Phone is not the issue, have other apps that get loud. Interface is cluttered, you figure it out eventually, but not intuitive. When you leave the app and come back it doesn't return to the previous screen. The practice tracking is so-so. Timer only works when the tuner screen is active, and I often use other apps to practice so it is not effective for tracking actual practice time. Other than that, pretty good.

Best there is! As a metronome, it does it all: beat or measure silencing, voice count, tempo increase and visual aid. Also, offers sound (frequency) analysis, and solfège assistant. The tuner section offers everything you need and a lot more. It does take a little time to learn where all the tools are, but after that you will see you will not need any other tuner or metronome ever!

Update: The Android version is truly great now I have all of my college students buy it. There is one thing I would love to have added: it would be amazing if the "analysis" view had a decibel meter in it instead of the wave view. I would love to be able to track the actual decibels of each note instead of the wave, as the wave isnt a reliable representation of volume. I currently use a seperate app as a decibel meter, but would prefer to be able to see it in this app in the analysis view.

It's great, perfect for band, choir, and marching band. TonalEnergy allowed me to delete many apps off of my phone like my metronome, my guitar tuner, and my note reader. I can set the metronome to change tempos; great for drumline. Only issue is that it becomes difficult for the app to know which note I sing when I go lower. I sing Bass II, so that is a fairly common occurrence. Anything below an Eb2 is hard for the app to properly read. Though I won't deny that it might be a hardware issue.

If you are looking for a precise chromatic tuner and a great metronome, stop looking and just buy this now! As a bonus, the happy faces all over the place make me smile and make practice more fun. At first I was put-off by the cluttered interface and the annoyance of accidentally pulling-in option menus that are hidden on the left and right sides of the screen. I got used to these quickly, and actually appreciate how quickly I can set options. Great app!

I love this app but good god are there so many serious instability issues keeping this once ultra-reliable app from flourishing on this platform. I feel like this app crashes even if you look at or breathe around it the wrong way. Any time I want to change tempo or do anything else while the metronome is playing, the app crashes. This was never an issue for me until recently. The developer(s) needs to fix whatever is causing this issue if they want to keep this app's reputation where it is now.

The concept of target tuning is a great idea. That is until the accuracy of the app falls short. I play the saxophone, One note In particular, shows up as being way flat. sometimes, when I first play the note, the TE tuner reads sharp and slides into pitch for a second. Other notes are tuneable but out of tune at first. Tried 3 different tuners all read in tune. Tried a tuning fork, and TE reads it out of tune. I have an A-440 It reads 439.6 and 439.2, 439.7. 441.2. Help!!!
