Idk what it is, but the app's performance on android is awful. I've reinstalled it, cleared cache, nothing has worked. It keeps saying that it's set to offline mode, but when I got into playback settings, offline mode is off. No thumbnails will load and it takes forever to search for songs—this is a brand new phone that I bought for, you guessed it, better performance. Coming from a very old iphone, it doesn't even compare to how fast it was before. Just a shame

They removed car mode. Yes, car thing is still there if you have compatible Bluetooth in your car, but it doesn't work for my purposes. I'm a truck driver, and car mode with always-on display and simple controls worked great since Bluetooth isn't usually an option for me. But now I can't safely use the app at work, I would have to take my eyes off the road to pause or skip. I'll have to quit my premium subscription and find some other alternative. This really sucks.

The apps quality is outstanding when you first buy it. However, after a year of using it, the quality has dropped substantially. Ad breaks are now up to two minutes, it's impossible to listen to albums, you cant view lyrics, and it messages you constantly. Although, the app is pretty good at knowing what kind of music you like. And it comes with almost every song in existence. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

This used to be the best music app but after the last few updates it has gotten really buggy. So much so that I am contemplating canceling my subscription. I use this at my business mostly and I don't have the time to constantly trouble shoot. I've tried using it on other devices thinking maybe it was something with my phone but still encountering the ame problems. I hope they get the bugs figured out because this is definitely frustrating.

This is by far the greediest "free" music listening app that I know of. You now have to pay for premium in order to see lyrics to music. This app is barely usable without premium. Spotify doesn't even have some of the songs I was looking for. When I search for a song and try to listen to it it makes me listen to other songs first. I often use all my skips trying to listen to a song I searched. I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. I'm uninstalling once I find a decent alternative 👍

Ever since the mass layoffs, the app has gotten slower and slower. Now it always says it's offline during startup, and takes between 1-5 minutes to connect online, even though the phone is never disconnected. This is a huge annoyance when I'm about to drive to work and the app won't connect. Lately it's even a black screen at startup for 20 seconds, doing I don't know what. The consumer experience is getting worse and worse. I'm trying out new music apps to see where I can switch to.

After you close the app, it suddenly starts playing again at random. Also, suddenly, every song says, "Couldn't load lyrics," so you can't read lyrics with songs anymore. App gets worse and worse. Constantly drops internet connection with a strong wifi signal. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't work. Clearing cache doesn't work. I am paying for premium and this is what I get.

Concept, great. App, bad. It delivers mostly good music, but the app itself is just unreliable and not well designed, would never use it if it weren't for the music. All seems stuck in time. And bugs every now and then, doesn't remember songs added to playlist etc. Skipping commercial (paid version) in podcast bugs and no sounds, needs to go back & forth again. Became a cashcow, now they don't develop the app anymore

Mostly good but needs improvement. Sharing songs with others doesn't seem to work very often. The link used to share the song and artist so you could look it up if the link didn't work, but now you're out of luck if the link k doesn't work. It also automatically stops playing randomly when connected to different Bluetooth systems. Both easy bug fixes but they haven't been addressed for quite a while.

What is going on with Spotify lately? They default to "recommended songs" that have nothing to do with the genre of music I listen to, and if course pump you full of ads when you switch back to something palatable. It feels a little disingenuous and I am looking for a different service now. Updated: now Spotify advertises political drivel in the middle of playlists. Charming. It's uninstalled. With all the data you've collected, you should know your audience better.

pros: all the music you want for about 12 bucks a month. have always been able to find the song I search for! single-handedly help me discover myself in music. this app is really good at helping you find new stuff that you like. cons: bugs here and there have been very frustrating and consistent over the years. no option to own the music. connections made to graph.facebook in background. why? i have no FB account

I really love Spotify, especially since they added audiobooks. However, it's just so overpriced! $10/month, and yet they still charge you $12.99 for an extra 10 hours of audiobook listening time. I'm already paying $10/month, I shouldn't have to pay extra for more audiobook time. They clearly milk their customers as much as they can. With all that being said, it still is a quality app with a wide range of music and other media.

As a long-time spotify user, I think the app is really nice and easy to use. The only downfall it had was the lyric limit. I dont get the point of it and see it as just extra. As someone who loves to sing along and learn songs in different languages, the lyrics used to help me a lot, but now that there is a monthly limit, I dont even use it anymore. I love Spotify and everything, but that update seems unneeded.

There is constant ads and apparently a monthly limit on lyrics?! What the heck?! IT'S LYRICS!!! Also, you can only skip 6 songs an hour!!! Even if it's quite annoying sometimes, you can find about every song and at least the songs don't sound horrible. But I guess you can't find hour loops of any songs which is sad. You also can't add a song to a playlist multiple times. It also plays random songs after you're done listening to the original playlist and it won't let you listen to it again.

I like that I can find pretty much any artist/song. The problem is...once on a station/channel, the same few songs play over and over. There is not much variety...especially when on a channel for a specific time era (for example, the 80s or 90s). I also find it ridiculous that the lyrics have a "monthly minimum" and then have to pay just to access them.

I keep having problems on my phone with songs that aren't in any of my playlists playing after a song in my playlist, it's weird because it only happens on my Google pixel 7a and not on any other device I have, and it's updated fully. I just want to know if it's part of an update, then it's sort of annoying, but, other than that it's really good with playing music, and there's never been any audio issues across any of my devices.

Most recent update added a "feature" that when resuming an artist/playlist after having it off for a while, it plays an AI voice saying "resuming ___", and reshuffles what you were listening to, rather than just continuing from where you had left off. If this could be disabled, no big deal. But it can't be. So now if I'm listening to a playlist at work and briefly stop, when I go back I'll start hearing repeats like crazy. Makes no sense. Let it be disabled.

I use spotify almost daily it is great. Not too many ads. All the music is generally high quality. However i do not like how after a while of having your playlist running it plays random songs of the genres and artists you chose when you first get the app. Even by closing and reopening the app the issue is not resolved. I do not want to switch apps because i am too lazy. I just want it fixed or adjusted so if you do not want those songs. I need to be able to shuffle skip and have access to lyric

Mediocre quality app that you can't go without. Usually works with no issues, but at least once a month decides it won't play audio for more than a few seconds if it's in the background. It could be something to so with the Google Pixel, but it's been happening for years on two different Pixels. You'd think by now Spotify or Google would've figured it out. I do like the Jam feature tho. Now my coworkers and I don't fight for the aux cord lol.

I like having Spotify because I can play whatever I want. My main issue is with how music suggestions are now. I keep getting stupid recommendations. For example. I like Creed, but in no way shape or form do they belong in my punk rock playlist. No matter how many times I tell the algorithm not to suggest Creed in my punk rock playlist, that's the only music it will recommend for the playlist. It makes no sense. They are completely different genres. Offline mode doesn't work it keeps buffering
