App doesn't work well with Chromecast. I've paid for SoundCloud for years now and lately the Chromecast integration has really fallen off in quality. It's buggy, the volume controls sometimes work. It doesn't track the songs being played in the app so it'll be playing music and SoundCloud doesn't show anything playing. I constantly have to disconnect and reconnect and it really pisses me off how this hasn't been fixed. It's been like this for at least a year now.

This is an update from a 2 star review. With more updates releasing, they have fixed multiple issues! No more skipping of songs, no more unplayable tracks when they end. Just an overall update to the experience that I enjoyed before it turned to poo. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars, is that with the weekly's I have found that they haven't been as good as before. I used to find new artists that mend with my tastes and barley find anything that I have liked before. Now it's that opposite.

One Problem: Longer songs and mixes, around 2 hours or more, will often just stop playing. Sometimes keeping the display on with soundcloud will keep the song playing, other times it will still stop playback and the app will say the track cannot be played. To fix that I have to switch tracks and come back to that track, and also put the song back where it left off. Sometimes it happens when a song has just been downloaded.

Updating my review almost a year later. Giving them one more star because you can now access the delete account option without having to jump through hurdles. However, you still can't unblock users through the app. Also, you can't create albums on mobile either, which is frustrating. Not everybody has access to a working computer (exp. me & my windows 7 that can only boot up in safe mode, lol.), which is why i don't understand why they restrict so much you can do on mobile. Very inconvenient

I love this app! It's got everything I love I can search for what I'd like to hear, I can make playlists, and I can download my music. Free is very good, but for a small fee this app is Great!!!❣️Up until today, when it keeps closing, won't let me listen, and I'm about to try uninstalling and reinstalling, see if that works. I sure hope so🤨. For some reason it keeps changing what I wrote in my review!

Who'd have thought that soundcloud would be the first *and* the best music streaming app after all these years? TIDAL and spotify require you to keep all of your privacy/security settings off to still be stuck buffering and crashing on songs you've already downloaded. Spotify? Nearly flawless operation. The subscription tiering and what you get for it sucks, though. They need to stop with the business school grads being responsible for pricing, but the product & service are rock solid.

I've been using soundcloud for years, and it has remained my go-to app for music. I've tried other apps here and there, but nothing has as good of a library as soundcloud has to offer nor do they offer as much freedom when it comes to being an unpaid user like soundcloud does. Any time I get the chance to, I recommend this app to others so that they can discover how much soundcloud has to offer compared to whatever app they were previously using and every time they've thanked me for doing so.

With the availability of songs uploaded by individual people and not just celeberties it's my go-to app for music. With SoundCloud Go+ it feels like no music is out of reach besides the ones that are copyrighted. but, whenever it updates it just feels like when one big problem is solved another one just appears. And the worst part is that i cant even report these problems anywhere on their website, they have topics but none of which im looking for.

The updates have made the app very fustrating, first there isn't really a way to block certain songs (I'm not too fond of rap), second the random queue isn't "random" its far too repeative and third it seems to be an issue only on my phone and not computer when listening to songs doesn't show the list of songs you listened to before when you are looking at the next up area. My experience has gotten worse, my songs now some no longer have a next song to play and doesn't play anymore after a bit.

This is by far the best app for music especially if you can't get it on Amazon Music!!! I love that I can listen to all of my Utapri and other Japanese amine music!! And you can record your own music and share it with other people!! Granted the ads do get a bit annoying after a certain amount of times you skipped or tapped on different songs and then you get. 2 ads at a time but other than that, I absolutely love this app and highly recommend it!!

I'm updating my comment Having major issues while listening to audios As for the past over a week now, the audios pause , then starts back up , pause starts back up over and over on every audio I listen to This happened years ago and was fixed I can listen to my music app on another app no interruptions at all ! If y'all could check into this I would really appreciate it As I love this app , but these pauses are getting bad ! Thank you Best Regards Barbie

I am thanking you so much for updating the app! I was about to review it poorly due to the songs not playing properly after being downloaded offline, and the app not loading, but you fixed that and I'm forever grateful (highschool student here who cannot survive without music on the bus). Only nitpick I have is that the ads forcibly play over your screen as you're scrolling and looking for music. I feel like they should play the ad but not force you to watch it (just stay down on the bar below)

Always great to find new music to add to the playlists. App works great. Just wish the commercials would be new commercials each time instead of a repeat of many same ones over and over. If possible can developers make that change so each time commercials come on that they are new ones each time even during listening sessions that last all day. that's about 40plus commercials

The Feed tab overhaul is by far the worst thing ever. I want to be able to scroll through and check out songs I see from artists I follow, not be stuck scrolling one by one through loops of everything that ends up there. This completely ruins how I used the app before and has completely forced me onto the browser version. Just a horrible concept with no consideration for your userbase at all.

This app gets worse with every update. The feed now auto refreshes every time you hit the tab, pulling you all the way back to the top and forcing me to scroll all the way back down to where I was. So annoying, I don't see the point in adding that. Also can't seem to like songs from the lock screen anymore so I have to open the app everytime I want to like a song. Plus the constant pop ups.

2024 edit: app doesn't let me customize notifications, so I guess I have to just disable them altogether. The buffering on this app is significantly worse than I remember (The results are the same on wifi or on 4g full bars). It's worse than youtube, which makes no sense because its just playing audio, no video. Often times it will just stop playing a song at around 18 seconds in and then buffer for a whole minute. This happens about every third or fourth song. It's driving me nuts.

The best FREE platform to use for releasing new concepts of recordings if you are an Artist, which to me means CONSTANTLY CREATING. The best app for testing the waters as well. I may change this review since the upgrades and changing of app colors which concerns me. After recent upload of new music my app with my account has remained stuck uploading. Basically stopped everything as if to force me to pay to play after 20 years loses me as avdeleted app.
