This app is very buggy. The chat is extremely hard to use. It doesn't work with Gboard so there's no auto correct, auto capitalization, or any other features of Gboard. The scheduling window is also hard to use. It's hard to select exact times. Might be better to let the user input times through text or a drop down menu. This can then be shown visually like it currently is. Functional but frustrating to use.

It's easy to use, but buggy, the app works most of the time, except when I am messaging a client, it stops responding and becomes incredibly slow. Then I have to force close it and open it again for it to work. It seems to be a persisting issue. It would be nice if thatbwere fixed because it can be infuriating. Update: 4/26/23 The bugs still haven't been fixed, and if I am sending a message to a client and it takes more than 2 minutes, the app stops responding. Please do something about this.

From making $4K a month to less than $200 a month after they switched to machine learning algorithms. I was an Elite Tasker for years with very clean work and outstanding reviews. Now that's changed. In 2023 its significantly worse than the peak of the pandemic. Support just sends you links to super basic troubleshooting instead of listening, helping and making meaningful changes. All the while, % fees for clients keep going up and up and up. Talk about freeloading.

The app has so many issues, I don't even know where to begin. Redrawing your work map is impossible, you draw a tiny squiggle and it doesn't let you complete the circle-its impossible to save a new map. The chat freezes on you if you type too many characters, then you have to force close the app and start all over again. When you get important messages from Taskrabbit and it has to redirect you, you'll never get to that page. Etc. It's clear they don't care at all about app user ability, at all!

The bare essential info is available, but regularly plain white screen on startup. When it finally works, if there's an address, I could tap on it and go straight to my maps. For the chat, it's quite frustrating to lose my draft messages. I start writing one, try to look at task details to see or verify information, and when I go back to chat my draft message is erased. For UI, the top left back button is at the very edge of the screen. Takes me a while to find where to post photos to my skills

Been using the app since 2017 w/ mostly positive experience. However, lately the app is almost unusable. Seems like a recent "update" has made the keyboard on my Android phone useless. You have to type EVERY single character, symbol, auto-fill, auto correct, word suggestions and spell check no longer works. There's been a ongoing stacking or buffering issue that kicks in just after you've typed a couple hundred characters. Submit a TT, the response is reinstall the app, which doesn't fix it.

Being on TR has given me great insight into this gig economy and the expectations set forth, not only by clients seeking help, but the administrator's of this app. Firstly, the app itself is not as smooth and easy to use. There is a learning curve and even after gaining experience with it, becomes apparent there is no fluidity in usage. Switching screens to see info, going back and forth just to get a client booked or see their address then what time they want booked... Counterproductive.

Edit #2: had this at 3 stars but I'm dropping it to 1. The chat is crashing so often, I am forced to type out my messages in a note and copy/paste, before it has a chance to crash It's awesome that this app exists to make it so easy for us to have a side gig. But I STILL continuously have an issue with the app crashing when I am in the Chat. Even after the keyboard was fixed. Plus the Map feature is a pain and far too restrictive.

I appreciate the ability to use this app and make money. It definitely needs some serious improvements. It can be frustrating using the chat, the last dialog, pops back up, when I'm ready for a new message. The finger drawing on map, for a Tasker service area, is a headache. I look forward to better updates as the app gains popularity. Thanks keep up the good concept.

I've had a terrible experience with trying to communicate with any of the clients on an Android platform. I have a Google pixel 7 pro and I just close out the app entirely and reload it multiple times just to have simple conversations of two sentences or more with people. It does not have this problem on an apple platform. It's completely related to Android users. Over unless platform is a good resource but I can't explain to you how frustrating it is to try and communicate to anyone on this.

This app has crashed way too many times this year. Never had this issue before they started making changes to the app (this year). They have said they fixed these issues but they still persist. Extremely frustrating when they want you to speak to clients on the app and you're trying a long message and it freezes. Then you have to quit the app and redo it. (I just copy and paste from notes to avoid having to do this)

Constantly crashes no matter what you are doing on it. Especially bad using chat. Can't get more than a few words in before it freezes- have to type what I want to say in a note and then copy and paste it into the chat. Call function does not work, despite all permissions, settings, spam filters, profile info being correct. Calendar sync doesn't allow you to choose which calendar(s) to sync; it just syns all. It duplicates events of tasks it creates on its calendar.

Works okay, gets the job done most of the time. There are two frustrating things: There is a 9pm cutoff for responding to a task request. I would love an 8:30pm reminder. An easy addition. This would get more gigs confirmed, and make everyone happier. I lost a nice gig because when I tried to respond the app hung, and then went on an errand and next notification was that I lost the gig. Which brings up the 2nd issue. The app hangs regularly. But I use it everyday -- it functions 75% of the time.

My analytics are being negatively affected because the app is not showing all the pending task requests. I opened my push notification and saw one client and responded. At 9 p.m., my account is paused due to not responding to a client who never showed up as pending. This is the third time this has happened, and I'm getting an AI generated dismissal of the issue. This is affecting my ability to get clients and make money.

Every time they update this app they screw something up. Ive been using this app since 2019 and it has NEVER worked perfectly. Last update made scheduling super glitchy so now it takes longer to make my schedule. You have to hit OK twice for the start time, then twice for the end time. I used to be able to just tap drag the time i wanted but now i have to manually enter it and hit OK 4 times for each day. Also now i have go open the app twice because the first time auto-force closes every time.

This app is having a number of issues lately. 1- The text shows incomplete on my android phone. 2-The text box sometimes collapses, and I can't see what I've typed. 3- The app has an auto-cancel feature that will cancel an active task if you or the client do not chat within a small window of time or if you do not confirm the task within the same time window. I would like to sit with a product development team to demonstrate these issues so that they can correct them.

The service and organization are great, but this review is for the app which keeps getting worse it seems. Constant hang ups, crashes, and recently a bug where many users including myself are unable to set or adjust our schedules leaving us in limbo. Support knows about the issue says they have been working on this for the past couple of weeks to no resolve so far

Im new still - Had one task so far and was very pleasant. I havent recueved payment yet but that comes in 4-8 days. Its trusting, exciting and great to do as a freelancer! Although it was brought to my attention that they don't background check the people booking the tasks, just the person doing the task. I would reccomend this app!

Great service, but the Tasker app is complete garbage. I would gladly sacrifice some extra memory usage and extra background usage to avoid loading screens after every new page I navigate to. A loading screen for the chat? Just load it in the background and keep it in memory or at least non-volitile memory. Sync it with the server in the background, not just when I request it. Also get rid of the tab bar at the bottom of the screen. Move skills from the Performance page to the Profile page.

Things keep going from bad to worse... If you have android, just know that they really don't care. I have been using the app to work but it fails CONSTANTLY. Sometimes it crashes. Sometimes it can't load up. - tech "support" can only recommend uninstall/ reinstall, or restart your phone. So I do all that, again... then I get to thec2 step verification. Only it never sends a code! I contact support, again. They turn off 2 step verification. And I try again. Guess what? Still no code
