Gusto is a payroll services company, not a bank. Gusto savings goals, spending account, and debit card are issued by nbkc bank, Member FDIC.

FDIC insurance is provided by nbkc bank, Member FDIC. Any balances you hold with nbkc bank, including but not limited to those balances held in Gusto accounts are added together and are insured up to $250,000 per depositor through nbkc bank, Member FDIC. If you have funds jointly owned, these funds would be separately insured for up to $250,000 for each joint account owner. nbkc bank utilizes a deposit network service, which means that at any given time, all, none, or a portion of the funds in your Gusto accounts may be placed into and held beneficially in your name at other depository institutions which are insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). For a complete list of other depository institutions where funds may be placed, please visit https://www.cambr.com/bank-list. Balances moved to network banks are eligible for FDIC insurance once the funds arrive at a network bank. To learn more about pass-through deposit insurance applicable to your account, please see the Account Documentation. Additional information on FDIC insurance can be found at https://www.fdic.gov/resources/deposit-insurance/.

I have to use this for work, but it hardly works. Absolutely worthless, and clock updates should be allowed through the website so I never have to use it. To the reply I received: clock actions are not available in the web client. It tells me to use the mobile app or a kiosk

Horrible experience with this app. It's buggy, constantly timing out at unexpected times, and now I can't even log in. You would think as a time keeping app, it would let you add hours quickly and efficiently...

AT WHAT POINT ARE YOU THING TO FIX THE ISSUES WITH THIS APP???????????? There's NO OTHER WAY to check our balances and I'm STILL having issues. I even got a BRAND NEW PHONE! This is absolutely ridiculous that the ONLY way to access OUR MONEY is through an app that your company can't even get to work right. I'm sick of this! Fix it or come up with something else because I'm about to switch banks all together. So, you're just not going to fix the issue???????????????

this app stops working daily. Many a time I cannot even log in. I have to remove and redownload this app frequently. When Gusto advertised a free tax filing with April a customer service rep had to send me a link to use the offer because the app would not allow me to file. This app also has difficulties communicating between a computer when it comes to clocking in and out. My hours have gotten messed up more than once.

I had gusto for over four months now. I started a new job and I get payroll on gusto however. I filed for disputes of unauthorized transactions but they closed my case and told me my transactions were authorized when I did not make those purchases. They closed my wallet account due to the transactions as a result I'm not able to get my money back that I lost. I lost 1340.00 I am very unhappy about it.

Super buggy! If your employer has this app, quit your job and go elsewhere. I decided to do my taxes on the app because I keep getting emails to save money by using it. While following the prompts, I keep getting notifications that I timed out and have to sign back in, less than a minute after I signed in. Also, keep getting notifications to reboot the app. Well... guess what? I'm not going to be doing my taxes on Gusto.

Almost each day I am not able to clock in or out because "an expected error has occurred". It's definitely expected at this point. I often check to see if the app is updated so I know that's not the issue. At this point, I keep a separate log of my hours so I can update them when the app is actually working. The use of this app does not seem to be convenient.

This app sucks hard. It was excruciating to set up and I don't want a gd gusto card. I just want to get paid. I had to scroll back 40 years one month at a time to enter my birthday. Is this really the best you can do? If I had a choice I would have told you to F off but I guess since my employer uses this crapp to pay employees I don't have a flipping choice.

I'm finding only certain features available on mobile app currently compared to desktop Web UI version, Time off being one of them, I don't see where to request time off, it may just be I'm missing it or haven't figured out how but I don't see where i can. I received a response within the same day, I've been informed that they are working on adding more functionality to the Wallet mobile app. For those having trouble with initial sign-in who never received email, try resetting password.

My small company just started using gusto. This week the app stopped working. It won't let two employees clock in at all. For me, it lets me clock in and out but the hours page doesn't show any of my time records, just the clock in/out button. I logged in on the website and it shows that none of my hours are tracked. App is updated, and I've tried to uninstall/reinstall, no luck.

Poor connectivity issues, very slow to open, always appears to be trying to change where your getting your data from i.e. if on wifi, it'll drop wifi and try to connect to cellular and vise versa, stupid. Forgets clock ins and punch outs, then won't allow edits. Trys to get you to open up stupid accounts to banks that aren't related to anything besides the app making money off you, lame. Would NEVER use this app if I want forced to by work. Lacks almost all of the websites functionally. Junk!

To sign up they send you an email verification which sends you to the original setup page which takes you back to the verification screen. A useless loop. Once I tried using a web browser the system finally worked. Of course it's terribly redundant and frustrating because you can't acroll their page and have to filling dozens of pointless field like six fields for allergies, what a waste of time. I wouldn't wish this system on anyone and I'll be sure to urge my employer to drop this trash.

Never had so much trouble getting my w-2's in my life. 26 years working. I have, I have also uninstalled and reinstalled. I have called customer support ... I've been trying to fix the issue for almost 2 months. This is the most I've been able to communicate with anyone about it. I did however spend almost 3 hours on hold to accomplish nothing.

super buggy, have had issues since I started using it over a year ago. format isn't easy to read when looking at pay period and constantly needing to back out of one area to look at another, or not being able to see where edits were made to clock in and clock out times is super frustrating. and the location is super inaccurate on here compared to any other app. but biggest problem now is not being able to access it, I've been getting a "cannot reach gusto right now" for the last several hours.

Not a bad app per say but its ridiculously bulky at 220MB of data storage. Also it's barely compatible with my phone at Android 8+ and given that this apps primary purpose is to be able to clock on and off the clock and this required for work it should be compatible with a wider range of operating system versions because people don't always have the option to just upgrade. I wish there was a Gusto lite which only served to clock on and off without any of this psuedobanking.

Entering hours is terrible on this app. When you press add break it auto scrolls you to the tops, add the break in the middle of the page and duplicate the first break entered. None of the breaks save correctly. Scrolling to adjust the breaks this app keeps changing only allows you to scroll a quarter inch at a time. By the time you hit save, everything saves wrong. 0/10 do not recommend, t-sheets and adp are far superior Update: reached out to support and they said don't use the app. Lovely

So many issues clocking in and out. Half of the time it works fine. The other half of the time I get an unexpected error message and I can't clock in or out. I'm constantly asking my manager to fix my times and it's annoying. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and ran into the same issue. Please fix this bug so I can clock in.

Loading takes FOREVER. And sometimes it won't load at all. I find myself editing my hours more often than I should. I should be able to quickly clock in and out. Takes forever to load the sign in screen, and again a few more minutes for the home screen, if at all. I contacted support and besides installing/uninstalling or updating, they didn't give me a solution. I have a brand new samsung with 5G data and strong wifi, there is no reason for this app to lag.

When the app works its fine, although I'd prefer my company used a normal time clock. But more often than not, the app won't let you sign in, which makes it really frustrating trying to clock in and out, both for me and the members of management that have to adjust my times. If they fix the issue, it'd be 5 stars. It works fine as far as time tracking goes, assuming it let's you sign in.

The app randomly crashes, so that's a good impression. As a payroll service, they purposely prevent early deposits unless you use their bank. Overall, it's great for small companies but their website is full of ads pushing their own products. For the most part, though, the layout design on both the website and app is very clear.
