With the latest update of the app, CountAbout has really nailed it. You can do almost everything from the app very easily. Combine that with their fully functional, easy-to-use online interface, and no other financial package for personal use can compare, in my opinion. Thank you for providing not just a good alternative, but a superior alternative!

We've been Quicken users for 20-something years, but do not like their web-based version. CountAbout imported everything except our investment accounts and memorized transactions beautifully. We've still got some learning to do, but the software seems pretty intuitive. Hopefully it will prove more stable than our Quicken 2016 has become.

As a mint emigrant, countabout is a breath of fresh air. I forgot how lovely an ad-free experience is. Additionally, importing mint data was simple. Beware that the initial setup features are only available via desktop browser. However, the app is nice for approving transactions on the fly. The budgets and reporting are easy to input and generate quickly. Like all account aggregator tech, not always do all accounts sync without manual intervention, but at least every account I have is supported.

I've been a Quicken user for years 20 years and switch to CountAbout. One of the primary reasons is the cloud access. I can access it from any computer or any mobile device. It also allowed me to do transfers between accounts in terms of record-keeping. That is something Quicken and mobile would not allow me to do. Additionally since Quicken started charging annually anyways this just made sense. I've been very happy with it however I wish the bank linking would be better.

I replaced Quicken for this and don't regret it. I lost my Quicken data with bad backups and crashed programs, but with CountAbout, the information is cloud-based. Security appears to be of utmost importance and I've not had any issues and appear all of the checks from CountAbout and my bank when I attached a new account. Only reason I didn't do 5-stars was that I had issues with PNC a few months ago. I wasn't accurately getting timely updates. CountAbout Help Desk was responsive. Eventually, the issue with the data provider was corrected and I've not had issues since then.

I found this app last year once I finally decided I had to ditch Quicken after they raised their rates AGAIN to an unrealistic amount. I admit I was a little worried switching to all online service and I did a lot of downloading of my data the first few months. But I have come to absolutely love this app. I run monthly reports for family budget meetings and annual reports for taxes, and it's a breeze. I do wish there was an "archive" function, but to compensate, I will download the transactions I want to archive and then delete them from the online database. I definitely would recommend.

We switched to Countabout, from Quicken, a little more than three years ago. I had been looking for software that could share a database between PC and Mac. Not only could Countabout meet that need, but it also had a solid conversion/import routine from our Quicken database. Since it came with a free trial, I was able to run parallel systems until I was sure it would meet our needs.

I used Quicken and then Mint for years to manage/track my banking and investment information, and liked the old stand-alone Quicken PC software. But it changed over the years, along with the pricing policy, and I grew tired of it all. I searched for alternatives and in 2019 settled on CountAbout. I really like how I can use it on my phone, Android tablet, or on my PC browser, and the same information is present on them all. I never have to wonder about my account balances; they all are in one place now. And, I was able to easily import my Quicken/Mint transactions when I first signed up. I do have multiple Bank/Credit Union accounts and they all link with CountAbout. I have had a few problems with account links glitching over the years, but the CountAbout help team has promptly helped me fix it each time. I am very satisfied. I log into CountAbout every morning to review, categorize, and "approve" recent transactions, and then check balances. If you are looking for a good, reasonably priced, online, personal finance and budgeting app, this is a great choice.

I used to use quicken, but felt limited being only on one computer, and it didn't do a good job of syncing with the online account. With Countabout, I and other team members can access the account from different computers, and the information is always up to date. It's been much better. I've enjoyed the simplicity of the program and it's accuracy. It's easy to print reports and to adjust them as necessary. I'm very satisfied.

After a couple decades of using Quicken, and spending hours each month entering my transactions and reconciling my accounts, I'm loving CountAbout! No more entering transactions (except for a few cash expenditures), and reconciliation is a breeze and takes literally a few minutes per account. A few quirks here and there, but all in all, I love the simplicity, the accuracy, and the feature set. I don't need it to manage my life, just keep track of my expenses. In the year that I've been using it, the account connections have improved a lot. I mainly use the Windows version and sometimes use the app on my Android phone. Definitely a thumbs-up recommendation. (For the few quirks, I'd go 4.5 stars, but in this case, I'll err on the side of a high recommendation, especially with the money-back guarantee.)

I have been using CountAbout for 4 years. Previous to CountAbout, I used Quicken. Quicken was fine for years, but their upgrade options became too expensive and the product was always too bloated for what I needed. CountAbout is perfect for what I need! I can easily track my credit card activity, search for years-old transactions, and view my retirement account balances with a glance. If an issue arises, the CountAbout support team is quick and through in their resolution. Highly recommend!

Ditched Quicken! This is so much better!! I used Quicken for years! Even paid for "premium". But the program became bloated with unnecessary features. I wanted a clean, simple account registry. Quicken made that IMPOSSIBLE! They demanded users pay a hefty subscription fee or be locked out! I am so glad I found CountAbout! It has everything! It's sleak, easy & super convenient- all without breaking the bank to pay for!

I got so sick of all the problems with Quicken (after using it for more than 20 years, it started having huge issues), that I decided to switch to another way of doing my accounting. We have a small business and rental properties, and COUNTABOUT lets me track everything I need for them as well as all of our personal credit card and banking and investment accounts. It occasionally keeps having me re-authorize accounts, which is a little annoying, but not a big deal...otherwise 5 stars!

I have been using Quicken since its inception, but the recent connectivity issues and price hikes finally drove me to look for something else. CountAbout is simple, straightforward, and it has worked flawlessly. I love the free trial period, and the automatic transaction download with the premium option actually works! Happy I switched. It takes a little adjusting after so many years with Quicken, but it's worth it.

In my search for a budget friendly accounting/budget software to replace the ever-increasing-priced program I was using, I found CountAbout. I don't need anything complicated, and CountAbout fits my needs perfectly. It's simple and intuitive if you have used an accounting program before. Creating custom categories and accounts is a breeze. It's web based, so I'm no longer tethered to my computer. The price for the basic subscription can't be beat! Thanks, CountAbout!

Web site is great, but app is now useless. It was a mistake to try to cram the web interface into the smaller screen of the mobile app, which makes the mobile app difficult or useless for what it's needed for, which is to enter transactions on the fly or to look something up fast. I urge Countabout to revert to the earlier version, or at least add the choice to do so. ADDITIONAL: I was able to find and download the APK file for the last previous release, which gets five stars.

The new PWA is great! It looks and acts just how'd you expect I've been a loyal CountAbout customer for many years now. I left Quicken because of their bad support, and CountAbout was the only app that would read and include all my Quicken data. I have all my transactions for the last 20 years or so in CountAbout. Their support is the best I've experienced. They get back to you typically that day or the next. They are always improving.

Countabout is exactly what I have been looking for- a replacement financial software similar to Quicken desktop. I love that I am able to keep track of my finances on my laptop, my mobile phone, a Chromebook, or any other place I have access to the web. I subscribe to the premium service, which allows transaction downloads from all of my financial institutions. The best part is customer service! They are prompt to respond, and have solved every issue in a timely manner. Keep up the good work!

I was looking for a Mint alternative. CountAbout seems to be a good choice. Importing the Mint data was a little challenging and I had to reset a couple times. I ended up with many duplicate transactions and needed to adjust the starting balance on several accounts. I find that I need to update credentials on a few accounts every time I want to refresh. This is true with other apps as well so this could be the institution's fault. Not totally happy yet but giving it a fair trial.

The new update is terrible!!! I not sure who thought it was a great idea to bring the desktop experience to mobile but it has made the app so unfriendly. Now I have to turn my device to even access some functionality. The old mobile app was clean and easier to use. If I wanted to have the desktop experience, I would use my desktop. I've been a CountAbout user for years and recently recommended your app. If this experience if not enhanced, I will sadly be moving on to another service.
