Calendar is the poorest excuse for a functional tool. Cannot see appointments without tapping on the specific day in question. If you cant recall the day of a meeting, get some patience because the calendar forces you to search one day at a time. But tapping on multiple days freezes the app, necessitating a phone restart.

Difficult to use to access secure messages - literally the only reason why I want this app on my phone. I can access some messages using this app but not all seem to show up. I often get an email notifications through stating that I have a message but it is no where to be seen in the mobile app inbox. In order to actually find these I have to log into Clio using a computer.

Very useful app. There is a learning curve, but once you get comfortable using it, it simplifies case management and billing. Clio support assistance is invaluable resource and readily available.

Not functional for an attorney in court. Always glitches, freezes, or doesn't load, and does not have the same functionality BUT THEY DON'T TELL YOU. For example, creating calendar events you can't control how attendees are notified, they just do it whatever way their programmers are testing so there's zero consistency. Just don't bother, save yourself the headache and instead use a web browser.

Why doesn't the app allow me to filter Bills by Originating Attorney? I'm just left sifting aimlessly thru the hundreds of pending invoices for my entire firm.

I had an iPhone and the app worked - mostly satisfied. I switched to android, and the app for android is extremely glitchy. The drop down menus/calendar don't work all the time. My keyboard disappears when I click on fields that i need to type on. On the app for iphone, portions of the description section i saved would disappear and reappear several minutes later. It's distressing when I feel like I can't rely on my calendar for important dates. Please update!

Was great until the last couple of weeks. Now I cannot make a time entry from my phone making the app basically useless. The time entry category started glitching to where I cannot select. Now even if I can enter the info I get an error when I submit.

Edit of July 5, 2024: the time issue discussed below still runs rampant and I have to take extra precautions during bill review. However, as of recently, I cannot make any time entries without getting an error message (500 InternalServiceError). The app turns my .1 entries into 1.0 entries. Essentially, the app removes the decimal. This is a big issue and, if not caught during bill review, will cause you to bill a client for far more time than intended.

The app needs to have some type of way to add tasks quickly and more efficiently. Something like the Microsoft to do app or an integration with the Microsoft to do would be fine. Just to takes too long to add the task for it to be efficient.

Ability to upload Pdfs directly to a file from my phone gets 5 stars. I no longer have to email the documents to the office to be uploaded. Not being able to edit my client or case information get 0 stars. If I need to update a client's phone number I can't do that on the app now. If I need to update custom fields in a matter I can't do that either. Fix this and app will get 5 stars.

Not very useful. The calendar is the worst of it. I was hoping this app would be user friendly so I wouldnt always have to bring my laptop everywhere, but unfortunately it hasn't been the case. From the calendar, to actually calendaring, to viewing invoices, billing entries or adding an entry, it isnt user friendly.

As a long time Clio user w/ an Android I often did not use the app prior to the new update. I find myself using it regularly. I have a team who I review activities often for. The new user interface lets me quickly see at a glance what has been accomplished. I also like being able to see an agenda view vs day view in the calendar. Overall happy with the new updates.

I use this when I'm not at my computer. Overall, it's fine for very simple use. I do notice a glitch in the app calendar in that it won't let you (easily) scroll to see the next week. The "add expense" feature has a bug where it deletes your dollar amount if input everything in the wrong order. Both of these are minor problems but it makes the app a little less enjoyable for me.

It's very helpful, has never malfunctioned, always been easily accessible. I can upload pics into any client's matter, and can have a history of every action taken even changes made in entries and uploads, you can keep track of everything in one place on this app. I would like to see a highlighting option and to be able to cut and paste photos into notes.

Enjoy the app, it is very helpful on the go or where it's inconvenient to pull out and boot up a laptop just to make an entry into a case. I wish creating a new matter and add a new contact (ex. for when I'm appointed while in court) was in a more prominent place and less hidden. I'd also like to see the amount owed on a matter. It would be a bonus to be able to add transaction info on the app so the info could be added, at the bank for example. Very helpful app, slight changes would improve.

04/20/23 update: I've been experiencing really bad slow down/lag when typing out portal messages to clients. It's been reoccurring and makes things pretty inconvenient when things will freeze mid sentence. Otherwise, great app! I'm a legal assistant and am more familiar with Clio through a desktop. The communication features and ease of access to internal client portals and optional Clio text messages has been great!

Love being able to track time on the go! Also love how you can call/copy someone's number straight from the app, or pull up someone's address directly into Google Maps from the app. However, the preview function for documents doesn't work at the moment, so you have to download the document to your phone instead of just seeing it in the app. Also would like to see the Client Portal messages on the app that I have sent/received from the client in the desktop version.

I love Clio and find it very useful in the office, but on mobile the app is limited in functionality. My biggest issue is that the app will freeze and crash every time I try to input a note. The whole point of the app is I can update cases from my phone while waiting in court and I cannot put case notes in without the app crashing. Very frustrating.

It's not bad, but it's very cumbersome and limited. For instance, the activities window shows what I've billed, but does not give a breakdown of total amounts for billing, expenses, etc. But having my calendar at my fingertips is a godsend. Also, I don't know if anyone else experiences this, but I cannot completely exit the app via the back button. I can literally tap "back" dozens of times, and the app just blinks. I have to press the home key and then close via the close menu.

Overall useful in a pinch when away from the desktop or tablet, but very glitchy. Functional updates would be tremendously helpful, especially for the "Time Entry Categories" that are failing to load/function properly when making a new entry. Timekeeping and note-taking are my two most used functions while using the app on a phone, and it makes the app a bit impractical without this functionality. (Running on Android, Samsung S22 Ultra)
