Great app. Would be nice if you could set different times for reapplying. 2 hours is too long. Most brands say 80mins. Other than that the free version is great. I'd pay for premium with that add on.

Really easy to understand and use. As a hypertensive, it's very helpful for limiting my UV exposure. I just wish that the data could be updated by tapping on the widget. Well worth the 5-star rating!

I don't think this app is working or supported any more. I used to like it ... It has been raining for 2 hours... It says "High UV 7.6"... Which of course is crazy. Another app I have correctly says we are in the green UV= 1. Not sure what service is being used but whatever it uses is not being updated.

I love the details on this app! Very non-obtrusive free version, and tempting features on paid version! It even tells you what SPF sunscreen to get because of your selected skin tone color! It's nice too that it can remind you to apply more sunscreen with its own timer every 2 hours.

good app! One thing that would make it even a lot better, is if you could see the index in multiple locations on earth, instead of only your current location. So for example if you go on holiday somewhere, you can know what kind of indexes to expect.

This app is sort of ugly looking, but it has the most information in a visible and informative way. I like that I can see the UV index throughout the whole day without clicking or scrolling. This is also one of the few apps that offers a widget for UV index. It would be nice if there were also a widget that tells you UV index over time. Samsung Wear app would be very appreciated too.

I like the app, but I prefer the option to use general location instead of precise.... I thought that was possible in the past? I prefer paying for apps, & not having my info sold to advertisers. If somone chooses to use low accuracy GPS, they know they will have slightly reduced accuracy & more privacy.

I want to enjoy the free version of it, but the annoying forced ads are too much. Its EVERY TIME I start the app and I refuse to watch or wait that many seconds to be able to skip the rest of the ad. Ill start look for alternative apps

Very UNDERESTIMATED Uv index (shows 2,9 when in reality its 4+) shows overcast weather, when it has been sunny all day long. If i stayed in the sun as long as the app tells me i can, i would have died a long time ago. I dont know where you take your weather info from, but please change it. I have been using this app for more than 2 years (payed version), the accuracy gets better during summer, but autumn and spring values are totally inaccurate

WARNING! Looks like the Home screen widget does NOT update automatically. So you look at it and it might say UV Index = 0.2, but you open the app and see that no the current UV Index is 5.5! Very nice looking app with a lot of information & a nice Home screen widget too. But at €9.99 it is extremely expensive, and the free version has both quite limited features AND intrusive ads. Also, on my Samsung A50 at least, there are a couple of bugs that would be great if they could be fixed. #1.. It is very difficult to click on the "info icon" on the Home screen Widget (please make the clickable area for that button larger) #2. Inside the app itself the font is too large to see text in some places (please add potential customization for this app setting so people can configure text to be visible on their device)

I've paid for a couple of subscription renewals, but when I let it lapse I found that the paid version has bugs that the unpaid version doesn't have. Don't get me wrong, both versions have bugs, but paid version has more... 😅 It seems the developer can't be bothered putting any work into it anymore. Shame cause it used to be a good app.

This is perfect for what I wanted and needed. And yes, the ads are annoying, but what's great is that I can pay a small fee once to make them go away forever. No monthly subscription annoyance. This app is so good. The forecast, the possibility to change enviornment (i. e. Snow massively increasing the UV Index due to reflective properties), thr cloud factor, I love everything about it! Thank you!

I enjoy using the app and the widget is well designed, but for the past several days it has been giving me data for East Perth Australia instead of my home in the United States. The app has permissions to access my location all the time, but nonetheless it seems to be stuck in the incorrect location, and so it is no use to me at the moment. My other apps that use GPS are showing my correct location, so it is not a problem with my GPS hardware in general.

I LIVE to sunbathe, so I looked at a few of these apps. UVI Mate is a masterpiece, accounting for details like skin type, ozone, clouds, vitamin D production, etc. This free version lacks many features which are not well described, just blocked with a pitch to upgrade for $10--maybe a bit on the high side. But it stands very well on its own.

I have a very pale complexion and searched extensively for the best UV Index app, and agree with many of the other reviewers, that UVI Index Now is the best, especially for its Android widgets. Although I had been using the app for some time, today I broke down and purchased the pro version, with the hope that I would be able to utilize the 2x2 widget, and I'm still waiting for Alexander to reply about why it is not working, and goes to the 1X1 widget instead? My Android phone has multiple home pages, with many widgets from different apps, of which UVI Index Now is one of many. Another feature is for the widget to update at prescribed intervals automatically. Finally, I would like to know where the app is getting its UV information from in any given location, and if it's data is close to real time? Let's make a terrific app even better.

As mentioned in other reviews, the widget is not updating. And, I cannot launch the app from the widget. Plus, as mentioned in the September 20, 2020 review, the fonts are still too large in the main screen of the app and do not allow customization and because of that I cannot see some of the information on the main screen. It has potential but just needs bug fixes and updates.

I love this app and how detailed it is, but sometimes the widget displays the index like its supposed to and then it randomly switches to just saying something vague like "high uv" or "low uv". So then I have to open the app to see the actual index, which completely defeats the purpose of the widget. It's constantly switching back and forth and its incredibly frustrating. Please fix jt.

What happened to this app? It used to be accurate. The last few weeks it has been wrong every day. It shows high UV index and sunny weather when it's cloudy and raining outside. I have looked up UV index on other websites and apps and it shows much different/lower current UV index. This needs to be fixed. I have paid for the full experience. It's raining and cloudy RIGHT NOW and the app says rainy, sunny and UV of 6.7 I will update my rating if they fix this. If not, I will use another app.

This app seems pretty nice. It has a lot of information for a UV index app. One thing I am not sure on is how accurate the UV index is with this app. It certainly differs from another app I had used. I do like that the premium version has a lifetime option ($10) so you don't have to continuously fork over money every month like with many other apps. I will have to compare the UV index against other sources to find out if this one is accurate.

This is the most comprehensive UV index app I've tested. The dashboard answers many of the questions I have about what the UV index score means for vitamin D production and which SPF is appropriate, and the Pro version adds some features I find very useful every day. The only issues I have: no info about where the data comes from for the calculations (as other reviewers mentioned) and the sunscreen reminder doesn't work (once activated it stays activated but never sends notification).
