It's just ok. The overall layout/functionality of the app is pretty good. I get the "desire" to make money off an app, but most of my likes are blurred out. You have to pay to see them. It's randomly selected who you can see/IF you can see them. I wish it was like Hinge where once you pass on one profile, one of the blurred ones becomes visible. Also, not that I'd use it, but $25 to boost your profile for 24 hours? Quite steep. Also, age range should be presented in profile set up.

I'm trying Salt for the first time. I like the option to add interests and different questions to your profile. However, you don't have access to "basic" features like setting parameters for distance or setting certain age ranges unless you pay for Premium, which is expensive. So after going through profiles of people not in my age criteria and outside the US, it tells me there are no more people to view. Deleting this app!!

Pros: The bones of this app are great!👍🏽 It has everything you want initially. Great verification process. Fairly easy setup. Cons: Lag time on the app. Multiple users have blurred pics. Everyone should be able to see the headshot of a person even if they don't have Premium. Premium should pivot to offer additional ways to safely communicate, like a video chat option... or short clip response like Snapchat in addition to additional pictures etc. I believe this may help to get more subscribers.

Best Christian dating app I've tried! Most of the features are free, and there are multiple pricing options to fit your budget and needs. Their process for setting up a profile helps highlight your biggest priorities without having to write a novel. Looking at the profiles, it feels like they're real people, not just weirdos. The app is focused on taking a lot of the stress and mindless scrolling out online dating, and they have podcasts videos and other resources.

I'm ready to give this app zero stars with the way I PAID for a subscription and went through the process of setting up my profile TWICE only for it to give a "network failure" error msg at the end and delete the entire profile. Not to mention how ridiculously sensitive the app is to photo sizes. Do not pay before getting your profile fully set up and in circulation.

Bought a boost, didn't show up in my account even though I was charged. Support asked for basically every detail possible (account, purchase number, recording of account) and still can't resolve after 2 weeks. The app itself is very... Unopen? in how you can customize it. The interface is okay, but it's not clear where certain options are (logout is in FAQ?). Just a really bad experience. Don't waste your time.

This is my second time trying SALT. I received a free month's subscription for participating in a brief survey. I've connected with more than one man on the app & actually had some conversations. One guy removed/blocked me right away just for complimenting him on his beard...? (Really?!) Other reviewers have commented on liking someone's profile but getting no response. It can be frustrating. There are some great features but also room for improvement, especially search options & profile format.

Still too early to really form an opinion. Just wanted the developers to know about a bug I'm experiencing. When I'm choosing my interests in different categories, such as hobbies, outdoors, and creative pursuits, I'm only able to view the first few items in the lists and I cannot scroll to see the rest. This happened on the two different occasions that I tried to edit my interests on my profile.

I've been on here for 6+ months. Done so many intros, varied distances and ages in preferences, nothing. Not one. Sent someone an intro and due other identifying feature I found the elsewhere and the said they never received an intro. I don't think the app should decide whose intros go through based distances, the age parameter is fine. Allow the recipient to decide whether their will to accept the distances. What if the right person for me just doesn't live in my distance. We're missing out.

UPDATE: Salt has been my favorite dating app I've used. I really like the look, the prompts, the automatic convo starter, the table events, and options to take on a profile! Definitely glad I downloaded. I like the app interface and the profile prompts! When I had an issue with the functionality, Jack was helpful and fixed it right away. I haven't had any conversations yet, but overall I am satisfied with the app.

Very excited for this app. The user experience is great, love that it is faith centered in a way I haven't seen done before. I think being able to record a message with your profile is an incredible add. It's helped make things more personable on the front end. Only downside is there aren't many men, if any from my area. I just signed on so hopefully in time that will change. Would encourage other single women of faith to try it out.

Pros: explicitly Xian, better questions/prompts/push notifications than any other app I've seen, lots of fresh profiles. Easy to remove unwanted profiles, almost no scam profiles. (Upward is swamped) Cons: ABSOLUTELY NO FILTERS BEYOND AGE & DISTANCE, even for premium. I'd give anything to be able to search by denomination. Limited on characters for "about me" sections. Overall straightforward and intuitive, if some additional filters become available and more people join, it'll be great.

Notification settings are a joke. They send almost hourly notifications about going live and there is no way to turn that off aside from disabling all notifications. Not sure even that would work. The developer responded saying that notifications are turned off in settings. So i checked. The options are for updates, new likes, new messages, and new matches. None of which are the correct settings to turn off the "live" feature. So clearly the developer doesn't know their own app.

Like all things, there's good mixed with bad. This app has a good lay out, it's design looks like it's current, opposed to retro 90ish do you care to update that look, ever?!? It's one of the few apps that seem befitting a Christian. The mandatory picture and profile...for a person wanting to see if they might be interested, it's a bit much. Other down side...there doesn't seem to be many people. That could change, since there lots of lame apps.

This is my 3rd attempt with this app. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: Ease of use, great prompts to set up your profile, and the fun ability to do a voice intro directly on your profile. Cons: Not enough users. No active users. I don't live in a huge town, but even when I widened my search to incorporate the big towns around me, there were not enough users to scroll through. The ones that did exist didn't like or respond back to intros. It felt dead out there.

I've tried this app twice, once in '23 and once in '24. Initially, my experience was positive, with multiple matches and good conversations that led to dates and I loved the layout of the app. However, in '24, the app has felt vacant of users. Hardly anyone to swipe through, very few matches, and almost no conversations. The profiles are either too good to be true (suspected bots) or individuals who clearly are not on here to seek out a Christ centered relationship. Good app, not enough users.

Overall, the app is great so far, very stable, video and audio quality are great. Have been on for 2-3 weeks and have matched with someone I'm interested in. The only issue I have is that some differences between basic(free) and premium(paid) are not made very clear. For instance, I had received a message from someone, but was not informed about it until I became a premium member. This means, as a premium member, I may be hoping for someone to respond who never will never see my message.

The app itself seems functional, but I am absolutely perplexed by the complete lack of any interactions after 8 months of semi-regular use. I get a reasonable number of interactions on all the other apps, including ark, which is far smaller and which I have had for a lot less time. It's not a massive problem for me since I do okay elsewhere, but I am genuinely confused as to what is different.

There are things I like and things I don't. I like how the UI is set up! I also appreciate all the different features and interests you can fill out your profile with. Also, it seems there are a lot of cool people who are active. But I don't like that you are limited to seeing a certain number of profiles per day. Also, it's a new day and it says I've gone through all the profiles for today...when I haven't seen any at all today...So that's weird.

The app appears to be dead and possibly non-functional. I sent an intro to someone the other day only for us to connect on a completely different app. I asked if they had seen the intro or anything and they denied they had any notifications of any sort. In any case, new profiles are rare and if you find any at all your messages might never make it to those people. Also has a super annoying feature of alerting you for trivial stuff most people will never care about like social events
