I can't believe I actually paid for this junk. When it's not freezing up, it's not logging that I've already watered my plants. When it's not logging that I've already watered my plants, it continues to try to get me to over water my plants. Please update this glitchy app or something. It's depressing how there isn't a single decent plant tracking app out there.

The only part of the app I used was the watering reminder, which they've now blocked entirely behind a paywall without any notice. I realized it had been a while since I'd gotten a watering reminder. When I opened the app to see when my next watering day was, everything that had previously been free for a limited number of plants was paywalled. I'm glad I noticed before my plants suffered. Understandable decision very poorly executed. Not worth the $ just for watering reminder.

I love this app. The community is great and super helpful, both for new & experienced plant parents! A lot of the verified users are pretty much plant experts, and can help with almost any problem you can come up with. The premium subscription isn't anything I thought I'd ever buy, but for like $30 a year, it's really not a bad deal, and it opens you up to a lot of helpful features!

I love the concept behind this app and how it functions. I love the plant descriptions & care guides, like how it identifies the plant, like the social features to get help if something goes wrong. The guesswork being removed is very nice. However, the plant care "algorithm" it uses is very one dimensional. You can set a lot of features about the type of pot its in, where its located, how much sun it gets, and many more. But none of it affects watering beyond your location and plant type. Plus there's no way to override a wrong schedule. It was saying my potted indoor succulents should get watered once a week, but this is a terrible idea for an indoors desert plant! Meanwhile my swiss cheese plant gets no direct sun, so takes a long time for the soil to fully dry meaning I water it less than typical. This special case I can't really account for in the app at all. I would have much rather the "watering schedule" start as only a suggestion that adapts to be smarter based soil conditions as the weeks go on rather than a hard-line "this is your schedule like it or not". But by far the weakest part of this app is a complete lack of other plant care scheduling. No ability to schedule fertilizing, no ability to schedule misting, no scheduling trimming, etc. There's SO much to indoor plant care than just watering for so many plants - and none of it is acknowledged by this app while other apps do it. This works fine if all you have are succulents... but even then, if all I needed was a watering calendar then using my calendar works good enough. I'd love to see the watering algorithm get smarter and adapt to real world conditions and the user's schedule rather than it being in charge of the scheduling entirely. I'd love to see the app acknowledge every other part of taking care of plants too. Because I love how this app handles things, I just think it's a bit barebones in how it achieves it.

My phone broke a few days ago and I went out of my way to download this app on my loaner phone because I have come to rely on its water reminder so much. I don't have a pro version, and I have been able to add a few plants- they ask good questions about position, temp, etc to determine watering schedule. They let you take a picture and they identify the plant- this isn't a common feature in free plant care apps. I love this app, and I've tried a bunch!

Best part was that they made deleting my account easy. 1. All basic functions are behind a paywall 2. You can't customize your own watering schedule or anything for bottom watering. 3. Every plant is given a name, cute sure but I don't love that it gives a name as a default and not the plant type. 4.If you don't get it to identify the plant from your picture its a pain to find it in the search.

Took away a feature that used to be free and locked it behind a paywall. It no longer notifies you to water your plants, the most important feature of the app, for free. This makes the app absolutely useless without purchasing a subscription. In addition there's STILL no dark mode in 2022. Don't waste your time and get a different plant care app.

This app is great on iOS and the app I subscribed to on that OS. I recently made the switch to a Pixel 7 and cannot use this app. I try to log in with the only option (Google login) and every time I'm returned to the Greg app it tells me there was an error with the post-login. I've tried clearing cache and storage and reinstalling, nothing works. Until this is fixed, Greg is literally unusable.

I came back to add a star because they fixed just about every issue I had. My only complaint now is that the watering schedule feature is odd for me. Greg just told me that I haven't watered a plant for 11 days when I know I watered her 3 days ago! I've resorted to using my moisture meter because I don't trust the app's watering feature anymore. Please fix. The app does lots of updates to add personalization options...but only for iPhone users. :/

To add a plant, you have to take a photo of it and name it. You can't just select a plant species, because the app wants to push it's community over it's usefulness. From the photo, the app attempts to guess the species for you. When it gets it wrong, you can edit the plant and assign the correct species. That's quite the workflow, Greg.

Disappointed that reminders are hidden behind a pay wall. That's the main reason I downloaded it. I'm not sure I will use the app long enough to want to pay for the additional features. Nothing in the description or photos lead me to believe the majority of the features were considered premium content. I would think being able to post to the community would be premium but let anyone respond. Or put some of the plant info on premium. But notifications seems like it would be the doorbuster.

Has potential. But waaaaay too many clicks to get anything done. They also make it hard to add a plant. Take a picture, they try to identify it, get it wrong, then you can type and search for your plant. Too much. I've got over 200 plants. I don't have time for it all. Everything, and I mean everything,is behind a pay wall. I did the 7 day trial and canceled. Not worth $30 to me. If it is streamlined better, I'll try it again. But I'm not trying to spend tons of time adding plants etc

Good app, quite useful. Ui can be better. I don't understand why one needs to click water bubble and click dismiss. Dismissing fertilizer reminder is too non- intuitive. App doesn't work at all with new Samsung flip 5, fails to authenticate me, error description is too abstract and incorrect. UI design and usability across devices is a major issue.

It's a great idea, and has some really cool abilities. But, Imagine clicking 49 plants, one at a time, to load a new screen for each plant, just to tap another button that you watered it..... Developers need to USE their app, to see the little gems they could add... Like a simple 'water all' button. Would give 5 stars and pay for the app if it had that simple feature.

I luv it. Almost spot on but could use more intuitive settings like being able to add ambient temps and home humidity. My house is a steady 72 in summer with 50% humidity. In winter that changes and this affects the watering schedule a lot. Would also be nice to have a repotting recommendation for each plant. Other than that, it's the best app I've tried so far. I think the cuteness factor keeps people engaged. Good job on that.

Seems like a good app, but payment needs tweaking BADLY. The design is nice but EVERYTHING is locked behind a pay wall. I get locking off the more advanced features, but even a simple water reminder (non customised) really? I have to imagine this is losing them customers. I also am HIGHLY against the subscription model and it's predatory manner. I know it's common these days, but I refuse to pay anything but one time payment and a one time payment of what they're asking for the year would match.

The free version is useless. All important functionalities are blocked off behind a paywall. It's a $30/year subscription! I would've paid for a flat fee readily! But a subscription like that is way too steep! In reply to the Gregarious response: I'm changing my 2 star rating to a 1 star rating. I clearly stated that my issue was that the paid version was an expensive subscription, as opposed to a flat fee. I don't want a few months free only to go back to $30 a year! Learn to read reviews!

Great little app for keeping up with plants and care. The identifier needs a little more work, as I had three plants that it failed on. It is also not clear how to manually enter a plant. The social media portion is great. In fact it is a little too great; it could easily be another distraction in my life and that is the only reason I am not subscribing.

It's okay. Really, you need to subscribe to get any real functionality out of it. It's not a bad yearly price either. I just can't right now. The one thing that frustrates me most is that you don't have the option for no flower pot for plants in the ground. Therefore, the setup details are never complete. Sure, you can say it's outside but the details are never considered complete.

I really REALLY want to love this app. It's amazing for the most part but some things really take away from the experience, and I'd love to see the company consider making these changes... 1. I'd love to see options for plants you're currently propagating so the app doesn't think it's time to water but instead it could remind me to change the water, amongst other details 2. It glitches out when adding a new plant. When I enter in new details, the photo/other details will go back to default.
