will not allow me to create a new username. I go to the Spectrum button and click on it. I then hit "create new username". A circle Twirls and twirls and Twirls. I then see a blank white screen. absolutely impressive! my first experience with the music choice app was a Flawless one. I'll remember for the rest of my life. Fix your damn app! Force stopped the app and rebooted phone with the same results. Cox worked, Spectrum's was blank. Then you email me to call and get login info from Spectrum!

I had this app forever, play in my car no problem. android did an update on my phone, thos app starts crashing. uninstall, reinstalled, clear cache, force stop. restart. still crashes. music choice might need to talk with android to see about compatibility with latest android update as of sept 2019 android update. please work together folks. it's a great app.

It's ridiculous that I have to download an app called Keep Screen On, on top of never minimizing this app in order to work with another app, in order to keep it from going to sleep. Otherwise, I've done every customization to the power maintenance options of the battery settings on my phone that I can throw at it. And since you offer no internal way to tweak settings in the app itself, the app STILL insists on going to bed. If you want people to keep using your app then fix the problems.

This app is great when it plays, but it is beyond annoying that I can't leave it playing without it stopping about every 10 minutes to ask me if I'm still there listening. If I haven't clicked a button or closed the app or anything else to actively indicate I'm shutting off the music, it should just keep playing until I "actively" do so. Especially during the night when I like to have music playing--all night, without interruption. Fix this issue and I'll give 5 stars.

The music is fantastic! The app is very glitchy. Frequently pauses playing then restarts. Sometimes stops all together. Sometimes when you have it stopped intentionally it restarts hours later when you're doing something else. I don't understand why they're software engineers cannot make this a better app. Very sad because they've done a great job curating the music and the genres. I also noticed some of these troubles when I'm using it on our television however not as severe.

Still needs some fine tuning. A nice option from Spotify/Pandora. For a android, it does not connect properly when traveling in a vehicle. You need to close the app and reconnect a few times until it connects and if you leave vehicle with app on and playing it will not connect when reentering vehicle on its own. You need to close app and reconnect manually a few times until it connects. Just downloaded the app but that's all I can comment on. I enjoy the content just needs fine tuning. 🙂

Update: App randomly closing seems to be fixed in latest update! Thank you! Only issue I have now is the audio appears to have noticably more compression and artifacts than before. Original review: App needs to be updated for Android Pie. If battery is optimized for this app, it will automatically close shortly after the screen is turned off. If battery is not set to be optimized for this app, then OS complains about high battery drain.

Really screwed this up with picture heavy hard to find what you want channels. At least provide a setting where you can remove all the stupid pictures/album art. RE: dev response: No profile, thank you. The last thing folks need is another "account" to manage and enable ease (your) data collection/profiling. The solution is to give an option to eliminate all the graphics.

It's very frustrating to have this service as part of our cable subscription and the ability to listen without commercial interruption, and even with wifi on the app, music is interrupted constantly with buffering. I'm thinking that if this happens again, I'm going to my cable provider and ask them to switch music providers. Way too frustrating, especially since no one from Musicchoice ever addresses the issues!

I get this content through my cable supplier. I have sent messages several times, but apparently I'm being ignored. Some of the music channels sound like AM radio or out-of-date recordings instead of updated digital remasters. No matter what I play them on, the quality is unpredictable. It also randomly strutters and buffers, or completely disconnects. At times, I want to use this content for background music, but you never know when it's going to stop on you.

5 stars for the music, 0 stars for this app constantly glitching (random short silent breaks, like it's loading/lost its connection), or suddenly heavily faded to the left, and other such nonsense that ruins the relaxing music experience. I have the music choice channels on my tv, and that works great. I can even stream the music choice channels thru my cable provider's app, and that works fine too (tho the sound quality is worse, and it won't play in the background).

Please get this APP right! Your music programming is A+++, but this app sucks on the go. When I play it in my car via bluetooth, it dies, because it doesn't hold the screen awake. If I switch over to a map/navigator app, it dies too. Please make it so it continues to play when in the background and it holds the screen awake while streaming! Also, it appears the fields are wrong when it displays on my car's screen. Amazon Music app is sooo much better, but not when it comes to music programming. Music Choice takes the trophy! I gave the app 2 stars. 1 star for the app and an additional star for the killer programming.

I was reasonably satisfied with the app until the most recent “downgrade” which required the establishment of a user account. I entered my registration information then the screen froze when I tapped :”Next”. I contacted support and was told that the app can't process a birthday equal to “31”, which mine is. I entered a different date and it was accepted. This is the dumbest programming error I've ever seen! This app wasn't released; it escaped!

Hate the ads! Been on music choice for years now...spectrum was klunky...cincinnati bell fioptics wasnt any better...the constant re signing in was awful...now Since the altifiber update its difficult to use. Can't even change channels without quitting the app and reloading from the beginning. But it at least doesn't quit the app to change bluetooth connections. I like music not so much videos... soo maybe it's just me. Overall not real pleased with the latest changes!

Randomly stops playing. Sometimes have to hit the play button on a channel 6 times before it starts playing. Cannot scroll through A-z. Before you even get to the letter A past the numbers, it winds you back to the beginning. Been using this app for over a year and a lot of these issues keep going and are never corrected. Apple version is far superior

I chose this app because my provider says I could get classic Christmas music. I looked & I can't find anything labeled like that. The app is not intuitive & it's hard for me (a senior) to understand. Worst of all, when my screen times out or I want to look at something else with the app playing in the background, the app quits playing. What good is that?

Buggy since 5/20. Stops playing 15+ min, then loads.... Plays commercial-free music. I love that they have 2 classical music channels. In many parts of the country it's hard to find classical radio stations. I've discovered music new to me. They have music for all tastes except punk. In an effort to keep our monthly bill below $250. we're likely to become cord cutters. If I had to choose only 20 channels, this would be one of them. This app is only available if you have it in your cable package.

I had Music Choice many years ago with my cable TV provider and thoroughly enjoyed it. When I saw this come up to purchase for 99 cents per month, I grabbed it. Then the disappointment. With the app: Channels are limited to a few channels. Channels only go back to '50's. Cannot search unless you are a cable customer. Wait . . . What?? Yep, no search icon. Cannot skip a song. Overall, not worth paying for and definitely not worth the frustration.

Buggy app keeps crashing at random on an Android table. Now it has me in a loop where it insists that I confirm my cable provider. I have done this before with no problem. Now, I click on the link for my cable company and it tells me to "Sign In with my (CABLE) ID". Where? How? There is no link to sign in with any ID anywhere on the page it takes me to. Resetting the MC PIN does not help - just takes me to "Privacy Policy" page, no sign-in link. Might be the final straw on this app for me...

At first there were some playback issues, i.e. the music info displayed was not the song that was playing. Recently, I had some sign in issues. I contacted customer support and they were very prompt in responding to emails. After some email exchanges, the developers came out with an improved version that not only fixed my problem, but seems to have improved the playback issues. Music channels, play lists, and music facts are very entertaining.
