The app has gone downhill. Do you have lawyers and politicians involved in writing the contents? Are you afraid of liability to the point where you dilute the content to uselessness? Too many clicks, not enough pictures or examples, to the point of not being practical. The Canadian Red Cross First aid app is SO MUCH better.

Great help in an emergency, especially in a stress related situation when shock can stump your memory.. even the most skilled can forget when stressed. works great, well developed, interactive and quizzes to test your knowledge. highly recommended

I've had this app for some time now. Being a certified CPR instructor, I've recommended this app consistently! Glad to see a lot of improvements to the app. Hopefully everyone will see the usefulness especially the sharing of live saving situations!

Some of the info is good but some is outdated or wrong. The quizzes with stupid, obviously wrong answers are not funny and show lack of care for the seriousness of the issue. Some of the quiz answers are wrong as well. They pull in so much in donations it would be cool to see them put more into this instead of overpaying ceos.

You are able to access almost every kind of first aid information for any emergency.

Totally useless. I can't even create a new account on the mobile app. I haven't even been getting my paychecks from work because of this.

This app helps you find a clear distribution of what to do in a certain situations. Such as if someone has a asthma attack you would want to make them feel comfortable, make sure someone reassures the person and if they don't have their medication and is uncontrollable call 911.It also has an 911 number under the things that should be getting called to 911 for emergencies. This app is definitely worth getting for more information and knowledge about emergencies or just knowing about certain stuff

Love this app. I especially like that the content is viewable offline. Because you never know when you might be in an emergency situation and not have wifi or cellular service. That was a very smart implementation.

good basic procedures to follow for many possible emergency situations. unfortunately it does not cover 1 very important situation , possible neck trauma, especially in an unconscious person. many times people will move a potential neck injury individual which can result in permanent spinal cord injury or death. as a physician I would like to see the Red Cross add this category to their app.

So happy to have first aid and emergency info available instantly. I have taken Red Cross first aid courses, but needed a way to review the info when needed. The App is great since it has quizzes to use for reviews of the info! I am updating my review. 2020. I am impressed that the app is updated with important dated info during a Pandemic.

Run at startup permission snuck in and email asking about it was ignored. There's no legitimate reason I can see for adding it, and the fact they're being so nontransparent about it raises red flags. Uninstalling. Pay attention to permissions, people. This kind of thing happens quite a bit with different apps, because they know people don't care. Usually it's benign, but not always. You're giving a lot of trust & data with these apps.

Under the heading "About this app" it states "The app is ad-free and spam free." What is the first thing I see when I open the app? A full screen ad. Good thing it wasn't an emergency where every second counted. I mistakenly thought that's what this app was for, emergency first aid. Well played, developers.

this app is great. If you want to be prepared for an emergency, it has tests of what to do in different situations and is much like a first aid pamphlet. the app also offers first aid training in your area. I recommend memorizing these steps and being prepared!

Several negatives: No search function I could find. Nothing on childbirth. Description says no ads, lots of ads (I don't mind the ads as much as the falsehood). Font and readability is pretty so so = light gray on white for much of the text. The info is ok (a bit verbose). There's better apps for similar stuff.

BAD: Does not show or access your Red Cross training history or current progress. GOOD: App is good at showing first aid procedures & doing quizzing app users.

Good information from Red Cross and their learning series. I cannot log in. My credentials are correct. I do appreciate still using the information without logging in for emergency purposes.

Awesome app. Has high detailed modules, and step by step tutorials on what to do in almost any First Aid scenario. Highly recommend.

It's a great app, but some of the critical buttons have underscores between words instead of spaces, making them harder to read in an emergency situation.

Lots of good info, but a major improvement would be for CPR guidance to show up when "CPR" is typed into search bar. As it is now, instructions for CPR are buried into various illnesses etc and they are not easily accessible.
