More About ChordProg Ear Trainer

Developing a good ear can be challenging, as many ear training apps don't offer practical applications. They tend to isolate musical concepts from the context that makes them significant. ChordProg Ear Trainer aims to solve this by providing a more realistic music training experience, moving beyond mere static chords played in root position on a single instrument.
Features included in the app
• Ear training using real music
• Harmonic and Melodic Chord training
• Harmonic and Melodic Interval training
• Scale training
• Dictionaries for chords and scales
• Reverse scale lookup of chords and scales
• Circle of 5th tool
• Chord progression examples

ChordProg Ear Trainer makes use of real audio clips to teach you how to recognize chord progressions. With 500+ audio clips, there is a lot of material to practice with on your commutes or during downtime when you don't have access to your instrument.

The app also has new innovative ways of doing ear training and it's the most comprehensive ear trainer on the app store today. If you have to pass an ear training test to get into a music school, this will help you prepare.

The app has exercises for interval recognition, chord recognition, and scale recognition as well as exercises for helping you to recognize chord progressions.

My goal is to provide you with the best collection of ear training games on the app store. And the app is updated regularly with new features and ear training tools.

Whether you are a music student or music teacher, the app has exercises you can use in your classes or in your exploration of music theory.

Learn to develop a perfect ear with this ear training app. ChordProg Ear Trainer builds upon the success of the first app and continues the ChordProg legacy. New features, as well as stats and backup capabilities, are now included so you can take your progress with you once you switch phones.

If you are a teacher, you can use the audio clips in your music classes as examples of different progressions.

Whether you are a music student or music teacher, there is probably something useful in the app if you're into ear training.

I'm a huge fan of Chord Prog but I had to try this and I love it (so do my students). It builds on what features were in the first one and adds a load more. Buy it!!

Great new idea. It will be better if practice seasons based on a key 's combination of cords can be increased. It will ne great if some song can be introduced for trainning

This is an incredibly helpful app for learning and practicing to hear music. I used CordProg one for a long time and I'm happy to see the evolution.

An amazing app. I have been using the first one and found it really great. This one looks even more organised and providing targeted categories for ear training.

Downloaded this app as recommended by a teacher. Before I even used it once it started popping up notifications with sound randomly, asking me to upgrade to premium. You guys can go fornicate with a rusty shovel. I do not tolerate noisy notifications from begware.

I have been playing guitar for years and have always found it difficult/boring to learn intervals. With this app what seemed impossible is now possible! Even with my busy work schedule i can find the time to train my ear. Thanks so much for such a great product and a great support team too!

This is where the journey to find the perfect ear-training app ends. After spending at least 6 years trying to find the one-stop shop for ear-training, this is the top of the mountain. So long as you keep at the training and effort to want to learn how to hear music, this app will be your best friend and muse.

I've been using the first version and got this one as promo from the developer who personally helped many times with bugs and setting up on different devices. Highly recommend the new version with so many features if you really want to improve your musical ear one again a million thanks to the developer

one of the best app out there for ear training. I will be much more if you could add a custom ear training mode, where you choose the scale and chord degrees to practice with cadences played before every scale you choose to study. other than this thank you God bless you.

Enjoy the app, some good additions to the first one mainly in the quality of the audio. However I really liked the 'What's the next chord?' so I still use the first one for this and am still using the melodic dictation. Overall though I'm enjoying. I would really like an option in settings to download the audio to different locations, as it's filling up my phone memory a bit too much.

This app is an incredible aid. It offers more than a rich, structured and beautifully designed space to grow a musical ear. It also gives me the faith that hearing chord changes is within my reach and that there is a path. The main excercises work in the context of actual music, not only isolated intervals, so I can immediately start applying what I learn, for example when transcribing solos and harmonies. Note that it's important to sing while using the app for better internalization.

Great app! I tried many ear training apps over the past year (even purchased a few) and ChordProg (1) is the one I ended up using the most. Compared to others, covers more categories (intervals, chords, note clusters, chord progressions, etc.) and has a bigger variety of drills and games for each. I also like better the way in which the difficulty increases from level to level. Interface is nice, clean and intuitive. I just installed ChordProg 2, so far looks like more of the same good things :)

This is the best ear-training app around! Its main strength is still the chord progressions test that v1 already had, but a number of very useful other exercises have been added to the original version to make it even better, e.g. interval and chord type recognition, so this app will get you a very long way towards improving your ear. Highly recommended.

Id highly recommend this app to anyone looking to improve their knowledge on music theory. As a working musician I am always in search of how to improve my playing, writing, and performing. Being self taught I've had a lot of bad habits and a very simple view of music theory. Through playing the games and using the features like scale builder I am gaining a far better understanding of how notes interact within keys and chords. My writing, my chord progressions, and my soloing have all improved.

Something no ear trainer has is chord tone identification. Say you play a chord and then a note on top. Trained musicians can say if it's the root, third, 9th, whatever. Similarly with the Bass note. People hear inversions by knowing which chord tone is in the bass. If your app had a way to train that it would be the first on the market. Please consider adding such a feature to truly stand out.

Wooow, this app and its previous version are the best ear training and chord progression training. As I said in the first version review i wrote, if I ever had the chance to learn programming and build and ear training app pretty much this would have probably end up being so similar. Great job. And support is absolutely top of the line. Just confirm it!!! Congrats to the developers.
