Best app for someone who struggles with math. The break downs of how to solve a problem are done in a way that even the person who just doesn't understand, will finally understand. Definitely worth the paid version if you're a student. The app explains things better than the textbooks and even the teachers, in my experience! Can't rave enough. Download it, it's brilliant.

Amazing! Went above and way beyond my expectations! Rarely messes up and if it gets numbers wrong, you can go in and edit it with the smart calculator. Amazing sight. It can read the question in poor lighting, you don't even have to have perfectly steady hands to scan the problem, they can be wobbly and out of control! Lol! Amazing app! Genius! Props to the developers and anyone involved with this app. One of the best apps out there! Get it now!

This app really is incredible. Works great, no ads, and completely free. Using this in a science class environment, it would be cool if maybe it had some formulas and constants built in, as an add-on, or even the ability to save them myself. Regardless, this is definitely now on my list of apps that get installed right at the start on a new phone. Thanks a lot for this one...

For a calculator that uses the camera, its definitely beyond its game. Being able to explain through the steps helps people understand what and how an problem can be solved. For general purpose I think it's pretty reliable. It also has a built in calculator and if you need to change something in the problem you just scanned using the camera, you can fix/edit it with its edit problem feature. I'd say I love having it and it doesn't take too much space. Nice👍

This app is really great! I've got a lot of school work done using it and now have an A++ in my math class :) I also always make sure to read the explanation, because whenever I don't understand how to figure it out the explanation is really helpful. I would add a feature to solve word problems however, as I noticed it lacks that skill. As well as ability to take more than one photo. I had a really long problem the other day and a tool to take multiple photos would have been great! 4/5 :)

I no longer have to wait for my teacher to have an availability for those singular problems that just don't look right- this gives you not only the answer, but a complete walkthrough with optional additional steps, other ways to solve the problem, and highlighted changes as you progress so you don't get lost. It doesn't work as well for fill-in-the-blank math questions, and won't give you the characteristics of a graph that you take a photo of, but it graphs equations and you can edit wherever.

I like the app. It's a lot of help and it teaches better than halg my teachers. My only problem is an update. When I first got it, the app would scan constantly until it found the problem or equation. Now I have to take the picture myself which is impossible because it makes the camera zoom in and out and focus and unfocus CONSTANTLY! It would be much easier if it just did what it did before and just scanned constantly instead of having to take a picture that's too fuzzy because it won't focus.

It is very convenient in doing math homework; yet, at the same time, there exist slight inconveniences in the design update, such as the instant problem solving. Before, you had to press a button, and it would scan the problem. You did it when you were ready; now, it immediately solves, scanning other problema on the page and messing up my answer that I need when I turn the phone away.

It's an alright app. Sometimes the math is done differently than what you've been taught. Some things, like quadratic equations with 2 potential answers(with the potential to be an imaginary number) will come up as undetermind with little or no steps. I do like that it shows steps but if you're unfamiliar with the other ways, it can be frustrating. And I wish you could shut off the noises in the app

This app is godly. It automatically calculates the answer to the problem, shows its work, and graphs it. Recently, I had been struggling with a topic in math and just couldnt figure it out. After using this app to complete a practice problem, I looked through the work it did and I immediately understood what to do. This app is very handy for students in any grade and I 100% recommend it.

Absolute necessity for us parents that have not done algebra, geometry, etc. since we were in school! This app has been such a great help, it makes teaching your child math as easy as taking a picture, literally! I had my doubts about how well the camera would read the problem but after weeks of homework everyday, it has not failed even one time. My only possible suggestion would be to have an option to hide the answer to the problem for teaching purposes. Can't recommend it enough! Excellent!

Tbh, this app is really helpful for my everyday math homework. Not only I could get the right answer, but I could also study it because it shows the steps for every solution. However the cons of this app is that, it takes time to make the camera focus on the math problem and its annoying because there are times you have to retake the picture either because it's not the accurate question you captured or the picture is really blurry. Another thing is that, sometimes it is lagging.

I've always struggled with algebra and mathematical expressions, especially finding a thorough explanation on how to solve it step by step. Websites like "Brainley" simply provide an answer unless you want the full package to unlock. But this app makes it as easy as possible to get an explanation breaking apart the problem in chunks, with just the scan of your phone. To me it couldn't get any easier. Used this several times, and can officially say it's a lifesaver.

This app has turned into utter rubbish. In order to get help on the answer, you have to pay for a weekly/monthly trial. I understand that the developers need to earn money off of the app somehow, but it has come to the point where it's-pay-to-use. There are some aspects where I understand why there should be trials, like the workbook feature; but using it for the calculation tutorial is over the top. The ads aren't as bad, but still intrude at random without warning.

It overall sucks. It can't do graphs, lines, angles, and polygons. Most of the time, it gives the wrong answer even when the picture is perfectly clear. The app won't even explain how to solve the problem unless you pay to get the premium. If you want a trustworthy app, I suggest going to any other math apps. Don't waste your time using this one.

I genuinely love this app. mostly because it doesn't just tell you the answer. it breaks it down into steps. if you want a more in-depth explanation you do have to pay for a subscription but it doesn't leave you high and dry either. it just gives a ground level explanation. it can't do word problems, unfortunately, but it can still do lots of numerical problems. i'd definitely recommend this app for math help/problems.

It can't solve most diagram problems, (my main issue). It only gives you the answer and doesn't explain the problem unless you're start the monthly subscription! I payed for one month and it helped me solve simple problems, but the harder problems were not explained clearly in my opinion. It was confusing so I cancelled the subscription and watched YouTube tutorials for free.

Anytime where I feel like I messed up on a problem or just want to be safe, I check it with this. It has not failed me yet. I haven't bought the subscription to this and I likely never will because I just find it unnecessary. When I have to teach myself and can't find a video, this is my go-to. Scan a problem-work on a different problem with the same steps-check answer-repeat until you can do it without it. This app is not just for cheating or lazy work. I've used this thing to genuinely learn.

This absolutely sucks. 9/10 of the problems you scan are "not recognized" or "don't exist", and when it does recognize it, it sends you a small, blurry image of SOMEONE ELSE's problem with THEIR answers, with the explanation for THEIR problem locked behind a paywall. The very rare times that it works is when it accidentally sends someone else's picture of your problem and you get lucky. It's like playing the lottery.

This app is very helpful to help me study for my math test without a teacher being confusing, also very good for people who struggle to understand how the teacher is teaching it. The only bad part is some problems when you look at the "show solving steps" requires you to upgrade to the plus version, but other than that I really really like the app! Photomath very helpful and I would highly recommend it.
