Honestly, Wattpad in general is a really good app. Randomly kicking me out is the only true problem I've had to deal with. The only thing I don't like but wouldn't consider a problem is that I can't listen to music on other apps(Such as Spotify, YouTube Music Premium, etc) while I use the app. But, I do use the web version, on my computer more than half the time, so my opinion on the app might not be a very valid one.

This app was honestly amazing. It was perfect. But the insane amount of ads is getting ridiculous. After every single chapter, an ad is getting in the way of being able to really stick with the books. Because of the ads, it's making interests in books I once loved to no end become almost...dull. and not to mention, barely touching outside the 'X' to get off said ads takes you to the app store. Used to, an ad would pop up every other chapter at least or every 3 chapters. It's just too much now.

I have never ever had problems up until two days give or take when it went downhill. I love this app it keeps me entertained for sure. Though there is a bug that keeps closing the book I'm reading and sometimes even closing the app. I've deleted and reinstalled it, and nothing else I've tried has worked either. Aside from that, there are a bit too many ads. I read one chapter and have 2 ads, which I believe is too much. When the bug is patched, I'll be back to it!

Recently the app has been saying it has failed to save my story drafts as I'm editing. Then, when I go to restore a revision, it says there's a problem. The only way to fix this is to uninstall, reinstall, edit a different story, save that one, then MAYBE it'll let you restore it. A couple times it didn't even say anything and just didn't save HOURS of writing. I'm so frustrated it's gotten to the point where I've downloaded a notepad app to save my work there instead. Please fix this soon.

Not gonna lie I loved this app. Over the years, I've noticed that it starts the glitch on occasions and now we're having ads upon ads with every time to change to another page not needed. And sometimes it's by mistake we go to the next page. I go into a story now, and it glitches me out of the book. Did some things to see if it was my fault or if I needed to update my phone. But no, it is the app itself.

The app is unique and very well made, all things considered after using it for 10 years. However, I use many different tools, apps, and translating tools while writing, having to go back and forth between many different apps while I write. This causes the app to crash every time I'm doing the translation process of my light novel very frustrating and downright makes me want to throw my phone at an orphan (just an analogy im not actually going to do that.) the stability of the app needs work.

I've always loved this app, I've been a user since about 2016 but I don't know what they've been doing lately but my notifications are always messed up recently and some chapters in stories I've read a hundred times will be messed up the music in the stories will just randomly start playing and all around it's not been as much of a joy to use to read.

I love this app. I love writing, being able to do requests, and pour my heart out! But I struggle with some features. The app glitches quite a lot on my mobile device. You see, when I posted two chapters, it said I posted both of them twice. And no matter what, it shows it as 2 chapters when looking at the preview. It also would not let me reorganize two specific chapters, and put a chapter that was supposed to be next right below another. (I ended up deleting it.) It was extremely frustrating😭

the amount of ads you get during stories is insane. it doesn't matter how long the chapter you just read was, if you accidentally scroll up to a chapter you just read (and watched an ad to get to the next chapter), some ads don't display x buttons, if you get an ad before a chapter it will bug the rest of the book to not show any UI or the photos/videos at the top of each chapter, etc. and the worst part is that this is a fixable issue, but they want you to buy premium so they'll never fix it.

I'm giving three stars only because of the years past that I used this app. It's still a great source for discovering new and unique writers and stories but the ads.... The ads have literally killed everything that made this app so nice. And the only way to get rid of them is to purchase a sub. 🙄 Typical. I can't read through a single chapter without getting assailed with an ad and some chapters are shorter than the ads themselves. Honestly, it's such a shame.

One of the best apps to write and read and it definitely makes the entire experience easy and convenient. But the app glitches so often. So far I permanently lost an entire book and have yet to get it back. It just disappeared one day without any explanation. Wattpad also won't allow me to change the title of any of my stories. And recently I lost a chapter do to a glitch that occurred when I tried to change the title of a book and it was really hard to get that chapter back.

I love this App and have read a lot of stories, and was about to start one of my own. But, all these Ads. I was trying to read a book about quotes, each quote is a chapter...so read a quote, scroll, ad, read a quote, scroll, ad. Then trying to get back to the home page for me was aggravating and got hit with several more ads in the process. I love this app but I might be looking for another app.

It was a good app, but now there is far too many ads, after every chapter is an ad that will last 10-30 seconds, even if u just scroll pass after a chapter, u will get jumped by another ad. The app is very laggy, it takes a few minutes for my drafts to show up, and sometimes I have to leave because the story just won't load, I've also had over 50,000 words deleted from my drafts. Overall, you should probably find another app to write your stories, or if you really need to read, read offline:(

Was looking for a place to write, a friend suggested I use this, chapter one, fantastic! Chapter 2, problems!! If I start a new paragraph with the bold font and start writing, the entire page changes to the bold font. If I use italics, everything becomes underlined for no reason. I don't know what's going on with the app, I think it's a bug, I'm not sure, but I hope it can be fixed.

Used the app for longer than I'd really like to admit, used to be a really good app for reading fanfics/books, until they implemented getting an ad after every, single, page. There's so many ads, it's genuinely absurd. It completely takes you out of the immersion of a book you're reading with the amount of them, and after every ad another pop up saying you should try our plans? Yeah no, that's insane LOL, just go to Ao3 at that point 🥴

Very disappointed. I loved Wattpad and read every day from it. But the ads are ridiculous!! I can spend less then a minute to read a short chapter and still get an ad afterwards!! I had to manually select chapters so I wouldn't have to watch an ad every time I changed a chapter but even then the ads are ridiculous!!! When I first got this app it was amazing. Good books and not too many ads but now the ads make it nearly impossible to enjoy reading unless you got premium!!

I grew up on this app, it's full of so many wonderful memories and is where I started writing for the first time ever, something that's still very important to me. But it's completely different and significantly worse now, and it breaks my heart. There's adds any time you do pretty much anything, and they recently got rid of the private messaging function, deleting all of the messages ever sent. I would not recommend using it anymore, there are tons of better fanfiction apps and websites

I had this app for 5 years now. And I'm starting to regret even downloading it. I love to read and write. But, there is too many bugs on the writing part. Can't even load up the story, it deletes everything, freezes up and always pulls up that wattpad is not responding. I have contact loads of time and what they have told me to do was not working. Can you please please fix this issues? It's very frustrating. It shouldn't act up like this.

I love Wattpad. I use the PC version the most and have never been bombarded by ad after ad. I was trying reading a book that had long chapters and had no problems. When I read a book with short chapters it was chapter, scroll, ad, close ad, next chapter, scroll, ad and it just kept doing that. I would have a much better experience if there weren't so many ads and if it didn't drain my battery so bad.

This app was fine until they started having ads for Garmin watches. Every time. EVERY TIME that ad pops up, my phone freezes. I have to turn it off, restart it, and do something else besides read for several minutes. Then, sometimes, I can get the story back. It's just not worth the hassle. Authors also do way too many silly "author's notes.". This distracts, and detracts, from the story, especially when they are formatted like a new chapter, which means even more ads. I give up.
