This is it. This is the app I've been looking for. I sat on this game for a while and wish I hadn't. I was turned off by the graphics but this game is phenomenal. If you like card games at all, buy this! I've already lost so many hours to this game and I've barely exhausted its content. I knew from the moment I played the tutorial that I was on to something good. Each of the 4 classes offer very different play styles. It's very challenging and if you lose it's usually because you screwed up.

Card Quest is a really interesting and fun pseudo-deckbuilder. You don't build your deck traditionally, card by card. Instead, as you play with each class, you permanently obtain new pieces of equipment that change their deck when you equip them. There are three dungeons to play through, each with different monsters and different rewards for each character. The combat is fun, as you usually juggle five or six different monsters, and have to balance attack and defense. Text is a bit too small.

Amazing! Slay the Spire mixed with Capcom's Tower of Doom. If you can excuse tiny text and bad art, you will find a deep and rewarding card game. It reminds me of the kind of games I would come up with my brother when I was a child. Easily one of the best game available in mobile.

Well-crafted gameplay mechanics that fit the roguelike rather well. They are fair, but punish hard for mistakes. The rules seemed simple at first, but after several playthroughs I came to appreciate how the characters play differently. The variability in the builds keeps me coming back from time to time, althoug it has been a couple of years since my first run.

The gameplay is good. Even if you play the wrong card, you still can get back to things pretty easily, BUT the tutorial doesn't encapsulate that. If you play the wrong card in the tutorial, you lose not long after. Which makes the wrong impression that you need to play cards in the perfect order. For those who were annoyed because the Wizard is notably hard to play; try getting the Mirror Scroll in the first location in the Enchanted Forest. It's easy to use since it needs a different resource.

Playing this excessively. Usually games don't have me lured in to play long but this game is exceptionally good. The only Issue I got is balancing issue with the hunter and rogue class. I can get through with wizard and fighter. But when I go through rogue or hunter. It seems they have too much difficulties to even reach half way. It is either due to some enemies having to multiply too much or how multiple enemies have more than 1 form or buffs to deal with can be a bit too much on the setup.

Very seldom does a title live up to its pitch as described in store, this title manages exactly that. This game is, admittedly dense to learn, but the tutorials coerce users into playing the game correctly. Users are rewarded in 20-45 minute sessions with new options to build around. Character limit withstanding, this game is so excellent i would have to write a full journalistic review to properly cover this, so I'll be brief, buy this game. Devs, make a sequel, see if you can get it on console

Very fun rogue-lite, easily one of my favorites. Very minor bug: when multiple bushes are destroyed at once, the enemies that come out aren't centered, but will return to normal after attacking. This can also result in multiple enemies stacking on top of each other, which messes with targetting

This game speaks to me on a spiritual level. If you like unlocking variable powers, run based gameplay, and feeling like a smarty pants, you owe it to yourself to give it a try. Each new area and enemy feels thematic and interesting. I would gladly purchase expansion material in the future and look into the developers' further work. Though the deckbuilding is package based, Card Quest stands shoulder to shoulder with genre favorites like Dream Quest and Slay the Spire.

Great concept and very good execution. My gripes: 1. There is no endgame. Once you have your powerful equipment you've pretty much beaten the game. 2. Unlocking subclasses can be ridiculously difficult because the combinations are not optimal or even good - e.g. to unlock Storm Master you need to use a defensive equipment that can block 6 once per turn and 3 otherwise, on a boss/dungeon that hits for 4+ at range. 3. Warrior and Mage are very OP compared to the other two classes.

I'm a pretty casual roguelike player - never really got deep into nethack, got to the bottom of pixel dungeon but it wasn't easy, etc. This game is just the right amount of difficult vs easy to remember. The card mechanic really helps in that respect, since i can just optimize the equipment combination like the noob i am. Only complaint is that the text is tiny, even in the blown up large view version. Still legible but i do feel like an old man squinting.

I like it, but I wonder if the person that made the wizard tutorial understands the game. Every logical move results in getting hit. The dodges appear to follow a repeatable pattern, meaning they are predetermined. Most of the logical moves result in a dodge. It plays out as a trial and error experimentation to see which exact enemy you need to attack. That's not teaching strategy, it's pavlovian conditioning to memorize how it wants you to attack... good game otherwise. Skip the tutorial.

Low grapghics but lots of fun. The game starts you with 4 characters and as you progress you unlock gear that changes how your characters react. It takes some trial and error to get right but the tutorial helps (and gives you a peice of loot to make your first dungeon a little easier). Certainly one of the better games and as you've probably already noticed no in ap purchases or advertisements to deal with.

This game can be brutally hard, one wrong move and you have to start all over. Can be a bummer when you're really looking to get an unlock for a class. But please god, the tutorials. They are so brutal. You can barely call them tutorials more like puzzles. Sometimes theres only one string of moves that can solve a tutorial stage and you gotta be planning like 20 turns ahead. Easily harder than the actual game???

The graphics are a bit rough in some places, and a little more music variety would be nice, but what the game gets right it gets very right. The sounds from your attacks are very satisfying to hit or block enemies with, and the gameplay, while very difficult, is quite satisfying, and never feels broken in any significant way. RNG will do RNG things once in awhile, but that's just the nature of the beast. It's definitely worth a try, at least.

Super fun, but very intricate game. Combat is deceptively simple at first, but ramps up very quickly. There is a lot of reading necessary to understand how yoir cards interact with each other. Should also be noted that while similar in game design to Slay the Spire, it plays nothing like that. But that's a good thing! Currently having a blast with berserker class with axes, and have almost completed one run. Oh, one last thing, the tutorials can feel brutal, but it's just a numbers puzzle.

This might be my favorite mobile game. Kind of like slay the spire, tons of replayability, 4 very different and customizable classes. Lots of fun. However, the game will randomly crash and wipe my data. It doesnt happen very often but it takes a long time to unlock all the weapons for each class and it REALLY sucks to go back through it all over and over. Perhaps cloud save would fix things? I feel bad giving this great game a low rating, but this problem makes it not worth playing for me.

Bought this game over a year ago and still play it regularly. Easily put in at least 100 hours and only recently got to my first end screen. Every win or loss felt 100% earned. You can tell the devs put a lot of time and care into this game and the experience is well worth the price of admission. 10/10 would buy again. Only complaint i can of is the UI. It's a little clunky and outdated. Feels a lot like an old MS-DOS game but, who knows, could be intentional given the game's similar aesthetic.

Fantastic game! The variety of enemies and the minor details that went into giving some of same creatures different portraits (like the undead crawlers having a variety of poses) really endears me to playing. It can definitely be a little challenging, but there's a good sense of intermediate goals beyond just getting to the end of each "map", and you develop a feel for the different bosses as to what the best strategy is for taking them down over time.

Fantastic game perfect for a plane or stuck on the bus. Auto saves at every action so you can stop immediately wheen real life calls. Huge level of depth, the first equipment is notably worse but evening else after is about synergy rather than better or worse gear. Gear determines your deck make up. There's 4 classes with totally different play styles and even more variety with in each class. Plenty of unlocks and extra challenges give it an amazing value.
