Very motivating! If you follow all the battery and permissions suggested by the developer, the app will run seamlessly. My son and I ran our first mission today. We selected our mission to be 20 minutes long and got at least 3 zombie warnings telling us to run faster! The voiceover is very motivating and tells a story that is engaging. We collected 14 supplies for our base (they pop up randomly). I will probably sign up for the full service so we can do all the missions!

I love this app!! The mission-based story lines is immersive and in so many ways motivating. There's even a mini game in the app that ties into the virtual collection of supplies and mission completion. I play it when i'm stretching out after a run. Also has training programs for 5k, 10k, half marathon and marathon. For music, it interfaces quite well with my Amazon Prime music streaming.

If you need the motivation to run or workout, ZR is one of the best things I've ever come across. The storyline is addictive and entirely accessible at every step on the fitness journey. It's just...so fun. You won't regret this download. The free version with one download a week is very appropriate for beginning runners and those who can't afford a subscription, especially with the supply missions (that said, I'm totally eyeing their lowest tier paid). Seriously, just get this app.

This app is absolutely delightful... and a bit unnerving in the best way. The zombies' approach is appropriately intimidating, and the supply collecting mechanic is enough to keep you motivated to run even when the zombies aren't hot on your tail. It's definitely worth your time and, even if you decide it's not your cup of tea, a little running never killed anybody. Definitely one of the coolest and most fun ways of providing motivation to runners that I've seen.

Awesome. Inspires me to move. Intriguing storyline keeps you from getting bored. Also has a little mini game. Not really a game but you build a base as part of the app with items you virtually pick up as you run, walk, or whichever exercise you prefer. I highly recommend it. Also, customer support is one of the best I've ever worked with.

Love the app as a whole and have been using it on and off since 2017, back then it was really just the campaign, supply missions, and other basic things which I was very much a fan of at the time and it's only gotten better. My one complaint is that the developers have never really added any multiplayer functionality where you can maybe sync runs with another person or whatever. Though there used to be a social section where you could friend people that I can't seem to find anymore.

This app is fantastic! I really wanted to become a runner and this app helped me do it! I never thought I could run because I'm overweight and I have flat feet. But thanks to this app I've completed a half-marathon and I'm training for a full marathon. It works well and is easy to use. Also the story is thrilling and the story telling is really unique. Even if this was just an audio podcast, I would pay to listen to the story. There are a million running apps out there but this is the only one that makes running truly delightful.

I love the storey line! But, I noticed that it isn't accurate about distance and steps, it didn't matter if I was going for a walk outside, on the treadmill, or on an exercise bike. One example: this app said 2.34 miles and my treadmill said 6.25 miles. I will still keep using this app to hear the story, but I'll pay attention to the equipment for distance and time! :)

So far so good. I never give 5 Stars right off the bat. I've completed several missions thus far. As one comment read it does stop some of the music. It only happened to me once. Can be annoying if you are running. After several weeks of no glitches I''ll rate this 5 Star. Would be nice to have a version of this for cyclists. All-in-all, it's really a fun app. I love competing with my children on town building. Might go pro... for a bike version.

I liked it at first and was looking into a yearly membership, but not anymore. The air drops have to be so far out, that I can't place any in my neighborhood, and the gps is terrible. I did 1 mile on the track at my gym, but these app only logged .16 of a mile. I have other apps going that can track me on the track, but this one can't. It's not worth paying for a membership until both of these issues are fixed.

About a month ago, I started running and this app has helped me so much!! It's absolutely worth the money if it motivates me to get out there! The story is very interesting and there is SO much content! If you're afraid that zombies are too scary, I promise it's not bad (there's also other stories besides the zombie one). There are zombie chases that you can turn on but I keep them off so I can be consistent with my pace. Highly recommend if you're tired of listening to the same music playlist!

Fails to track when my screen is turned off, and it takes an hour to get 30 mins of progress. I have tried so many times with this app. I have adjusted my battery and app settings. I set the app to never turn off. Customer service has tried to help repeatedly, bless them. But the problem still persists. Not with any other apps. Only this one. I paid for the yearly subscription but I will absolutely not be renewing.

I used to do zombies, run before it became ZRX and absolutely loved it! I came back to it earlier this month and fell in love all over again. Update: Not sure what happened but I had an error where the audio logs wouldn't play automatically, but after taking a break for a few days, it fixes itself. So, as promised, here's my 5 star review. Keep up the amazing work! Run on Runner 5!

I've used this app for years and legit can't understand how I haven't written a review yet! The stories are a bit predictable, yet that somehow doesn't take away from the enjoyment. You easily lose track of your exhaustion while engrossed in the story, and before it gets too "boring;" suddenly a zombie chase! This app blocks out the voice in my head shouting, "sit down! You're tired!" I highly recommend if you want a little something extra in your run tracking app.

I absolutely love Zombies Run. I very very rarely spend money on games or apps because, well, I'm poor, but I've been scraping up the small monthly charge (and plan on paying the $25 for a year as soon as I'm able) because it is worth every penny. I don't actually walk/run (yet). I've been going through a pretty severe depressive episode though, finding it hard to get the motivation to do even the most basic things. That's what I use Zombies Run for. I'll put it on constant pace while I'm doing housework or running errands and it helps so much, even when I'm seriously lacking the energy, it gives me the motivation to get up. I just wanted to thank you guys for all the work you put into it. It is, in an almost literal sense, saving my life. The story is great (I've cried several times, laughed, been filled with anger) it's just great. The voice acting is pretty phenomenal. I love Sam, Jack and Eugene especially. So just...thanks so much. <3 Though if, at some later date, you could possibly make it so we could rotate buildings on the base or move them without having to demolish them, that would be fantastic. I'm not bitching though, I am just truly thankful for this app and all you guys do. So much love to you all. <3

Update: Can't seem to log in the app anymore. Old: My favorite running app but... I like it for the entertainment. While the app is much less glitchy for legacy users than before, the distance is way off. I can walk slowly and it will say that I have done a mile every 6 minutes, when I have walked maybe half a mile or less. However, I do love the incentive to run when I have the Zombie chases on, it gets me going and has helped to make much progress.

I used to really enjoy the app. I purchased when it was a single purchase app. I understand the move to subscription model, but it's getting a little ridiculous. I can't believe you have to subscribe for zombie chase settings. I credit the app with helping me get going on my running journey from simple 5ks to half marathons. Would love some functionality returned... EDIT: Thank you for returning functionality!

I've been using this app since high school and have very fond memories of all the times it has made the simple act of running feel like a high-stakes adventure. So much so that I even subscribed to the Zombies, Run! + Marvel Move bundle the moment it came out and am still subscribed to this day. I haven't been as active as I once was, but now that I'm trying to change that, I've noticed I no longer have access to the Marvel section of runs, yet I'm still paying for the bundle that includes it.

GPS tracking is a little wonky, but overall it's a good app for making my runs more exciting. I also like the training programs. On the GPS issue, it starts tracking correctly from point a to b, but once I hit point e, it'll cut out b thru d and draw a straight line from point a to point e. This makes running around the track look like a scribbley egg. I have to use another site to map out runs in town as it would rather make triangles instead of following my square route on the streets.

Used to love. If not for the story line, I would have uninstalled already. I live and work in the middle of nowhere with no cell service. I used to be able to predownload episodes and then use the app for weeks on end with no wifi. But now, if you open the app without wifi, it pops up a message saying 'no internet'. From this message, the only way to get to your downloaded episodes is to turn on wifi. The 'solution' is to open the app with wifi and always keep it open in the background.
