I can get audio but no images, just a black screen, which is a complete fail on a video conferencing app. Hope this gets rectified asap as it's not fit for purpose at as it is currently.

the website tells me that this app is not available on your device. I love my chromebook. Its the 4th one I've bought in 6 years. First screen broke, then the second one had a cord problem. THe third one would not update and this one won't update.

I can hear but the audio is really distorted. Not sure why this is happening. Can you please fix it? I used Facebook Messenger straight after trying to use Zoom and the audio is perfectly clear. For other calls I need to use Zoom.

Decided to download extension on on my Samsung Chromebook big mistake. Could see and hear me my side black screen I could hear them. Got on with my Samsung notes while on uninstalled on Chromebook, got on finally with the other Zomm app and it worked. PLEASE FIX ASAP we use this for important meeting at my church. I installed it after getting a notification from installing the latest Chrome OS update.

Updated my review because this app isn't good, lots of annoying things that you don't get on the other versions. Forgets my credentials meaning I have to log back in frequently, doesn't remember meeting IDs, video feeds freeze after a while and never recover, background "filters" are a joke

Your app sucks! You should be ashamed to launch such a thing. Zoom on Chromebooks has been the worst of the worst for years, and your new app rejected my accurate meeting ID. I then tried by phone, and it was impossible to even enter a meeting ID. When I clicked on the Zoom invitation, it wanted me to download a Zoom Chrome extension that brought up the old Zoom app. Sound dropped out immediately, as was always the case with this rotten app. This was for an important call—and it had to be canceled because Zoom sucks! I missed out on an important opportunity because the Zoom team launched a nonworking app. How does Google allow this to happen? Zoom is killing the Chromebook experience for people across the world! Zoom, stop paying click farms to boost your review and focus on building an app that actually works for the fastest-growing computer operating system. It is so apparent that you're paying people to keep your rating above one star.

Having big problems using this on a Chromebook. Screen freezes after a couple of mins and doesn't return, lose sound frequently and can't get it back. I'm really keen for the additional functionality the pwa app will give me but it's unusable for me at the moment 🥺

Zoom no longer being supported on Chrome is a travesty. Absolutely horrific. It's an absolute downgrade from even the phone app. You can't even use backgrounds. Whoever designed the PORTHOLE on the background deserves to burn in hades.

Bigger resource hog than the previous Chrome OS app. Maybe there are new features, but if I can't get reasonable audio/video quality, those features are useless. All 4 cores of my Point2 14 are pegged and quality stinks even with all other windows closed. Pretty disappointing.

First time using on my Chromebook and I'm not impressed! When turning on video there was no video only a black screen. Thankfully I could see others, but this was a huge disappointment. When trying to use zoom online it automatically switched me to PWA. Is there a patch or upgrade I'm missing?

please just make it like the app for windows.. not user friendly at all, can't see all the participants, chat screen isn't attached to the meeting so I can view it while I'm viewing the gallery. doing zoom meetings was the main reason I got this product and I am VERY VERY VERY disappointed.

I use this on a Chromebook, and it is a much worse experience than the dedicated app that is sunsetting in June 2022. My video keeps freezing, which it never did with the app, and the pwa has fewer options than the app did. This definitely needs some work!

making a bad service worse. Poor connectivity, limited controls, no mirroring on your own video. Truly a horrible app. In what way is this an improvement? I wouldn't use Zoom at all by choice but I have to, won't be using this app and will be pushing the organisations I'm involved with to move away from Zoom altogether unless we get some serious improvements for Chromebook users soon.

I purchased a Chromebook to teach a university course online. The zoom app is awful for Chromebook. There’s no way to see the participant panel while you share your screen - which is critical for meetings - and overall it’s very clunky. My Chromebook lets me do whatever I need but I may need to get a new laptop just because zoom sucks so much on this one.

Completely failed the audio/video test before a podcast I'm supposed to join tomorrow. Inconsistent audio. Inconsistent video. No way to remediate because there were no settings. And this was on one of the faster Chromebooks! Also, the lack of end-to-end encryption support will make Zoom useless for meeting with one of the teams I work with.

Seems okay, but doesn't automatically start on my chromebook when I click on a zoom link. I usually start every zoom meeting by clicking on a link in my calendar. The chrome app used to start whenever I clicked the link. However, this new pwa app doesn't automatically startup. Therefore, it is virtually useless to me unless they incorporate this feature.

I have to admit, since getting my Chromebook, I'm thinking of moving to Google Meet unless the app improves. The video quality is much poorer than on my previous Windows laptop and it's virtually impossible to use much else when you have Zoom open. There's significant lag when you share your screen, which can also cause problems with incoming video and audio.
