fun app, got it to start running again after a long hiatus. I havent had any issues with the app crashing that others seem to have. my only issue is that at week 4 you have to pay? its advertised as a free app... why wouldnt you just say its 3.99 to start with?? might have purchased if they'd been upfront.

this is one of the few 5K training apps that I've seen that starts slow enough for me and is allowing me to feel success. granted I'm only finishing week one but that was more than I could do with another that I tried and others that I saw. I like that I can swap in the non jogging days for days where I can use the walk because it's included in the price if you pay the subscription. and I'm enjoying the storyline enough that I don't mind paying for what amounts to light entertainment as I go.

I cannot express enough how much this has helped me get active again. it's so much easier plugging into this alternate reality that you're training for than it ever was for me to get back into running myself. a couple small issues with the app itself (can't pause the workout to adjust music settings, and i haven't gotten the step counter version of distance tracking to work) but I'll give it 5 stars regardless because it has trained me well. Just have 2 more workouts to go!

I enoy this app but it has some issues. There's a TON of content padding. There are 10-20 min 'freeform' runs for each workout where you decide yourself when/if/how much to run. Useful at the end of the program but lazy at the very start. Also random mins of stretches are thrown in that you wouldnt do in the mid of a run. Should be much more walk/run drills instead. Speaking of that, Max talks so much during the drills. For a 1 min run drill she gives time updates literally every 15 seconds!

I've been enjoying this app immensely for weeks. got to week 5 and needed to pay 3.99 to continue.. ok, i want to train and like the storyline, so no prob. No sooner had i paid when the next workout stopped halfway through (right before the 15 min free form run). i thought i could just stop and start it...nope. Started from the beginning instead of where it had stopped working! All that work to complete it and now it won't show I actually did it! Not sure I'll use the other app after this...

Like others have mentioned it's very misleading that this app is Free only to find out if you want the last 5 weeks of training you have to buy a monthly or yearly subscription. You don't find this out till you click on Week 4. I was enjoying the run drills and it was helping my running. Very bummed that there is no way to just outright purchase the last 5 weeks, and the subscription cost is a little too rich for my blood.

I loved the Zombie, Run app when I was an avid runner and since I haven't been running for a few years after a knee injury I needed something to go slow & get back to where I needed to be. This is perfect speed for someone who has to go slower to start. I am having problems with the app no longer tracking after I paused at a stop light. Not sure if it was just run #4 or if it's going to be a glitch on them all.

The app is decent and the content is great. However, the way they handle monetization is just not consumer-friendly! I wish there were a one time payment option. I believe there's some ongoing benefits that might warrant a subscription plan, but it really just feels like an attempt to nickel and dime you. As far as the app goes, my nitpick is that you have to scroll to the mission you stopped at every time, instead of it taking you there automatically.

It's a great idea, but there are little glitches. It doesn't track distance well (for example, I measured my distance on google maps at ~3 miles, the app said I'd traveled a little less than 2, which is an enormous disparity when you're trying to track your 5k progress). It also gets really glitchy if you've used the pause function during a run, so all your stats will be wrong for that run, even after you resume. All that said, it's a fun app if you've got access to a treadmill.

Just finished the program and I'm super pleased with the results. It was broken down into such manageable chunks that it was hard but not too hard. I just ran 5k without stopping once and that would have been impossible two months ago. The story is interesting enough to keep you engaged the whole way through. I'm definitely going on to the main app and maybe picking up the 10km program

Let me caveat this: I happily pay for the yearly subscription on 'Zombies, Run!'. After I had Littlest Runner5, I wanted to build back up. This app isn't good. It's not worth $4. It's not integrated with ZR!, & when it crashes (it will if you are using any other apps while you run. My camera & messenger apps have both crashed it) you have to restart the whole mission. Guys, you've fixed this! Why does it still happen on this? The story line doesn't add much, just get the main game & a good plan.

I hate running. But, the story was really engaging and motivated me to actually finish all 8 weeks! I'm still walking and jogging more than running, but it's a start. One thing I noticed is that after you complete Week 8, Run 3 it doesn't show as Completed on your dashboard or the meter thing to track progress. It's fortunately in the run logs (or else I would have been really upset! That was my fastest run by far!)

Just did the first mission today, and I am so HOOKED! This was such a blast! My running route ended in perfect timing, too. Just as I started running for my car in the distance, pretending it was the safe house, the gunshots started as Runner 5 made it to the town. I'm very new to running and was looking for an app that would help me to pace myself as I grow as a runner, so I don't go too hard too fast. I was NOT expecting to find something so dang fun with such great production quality. 5⭐!

I bought this app years ago and wanted to restart it, I'm at week 4 and it is behind a pay wall. The 'restore purchase' button doesn't do anything either. I had a legacy membership for the main app after they started monthly and then took away the races, guess they screwed us here too. Loved the app, bought the seasons back in the day, but can't even use the things I bought anymore without paying even more money. The subscription is way too expensive, not worth it any more

I absolutely love it! I have had no issues using my spotify or my gps tracking while listening. perfect for someone who has never run before, as it slowly works you up and not in a "I am gonna die." kind of way. They walk you through every step and I felt very accomplished! I never saw myself as the runner type but now I am sad I have to have rest days. I highly recommend! Try it out! Its free till week four, I will be subscribing! Worse case you just delete it and move on. come on, Runner 5!

Regular exercising was getting boring, and found my self skipping days. Then I came across this app. This makes exercising entertaining. It's a great way to stay motivated. It's not just walking or running from one place to another. You have a story line with narrative, music. Excersing goes by quickly. My teenager also found this a fun way to stay in shape. Gave 4 ☆,because it doesn't work with my Fitbit. I use the treadmill also and don't carry my phone, but leave it on the control panel.

Ran great on my Pixel 5. However, gatekeeping at week 4. At no point does the app tell you that you're going to have to sign up for the monthly/yearly subscription until then. The app, somewhere and preferably when setting everything up, should note you have several free weeks to give it a run, and if you want to keep going, it's going to require the subscription.

I've been using this app for two weeks and so far it's been, to quote Sam, "hella fun" and super motivating. I'm in love with the writing and the voice acting, and the missions are challenging but not incredulously hard. (And yeah, I can totally feel my leg muscles getting stronger.) I've had a few glitches regarding using Spotify and the app simultaneously, but it hasn't been enough to ruin the game for me. I'll definitely be buying the other five weeks, and I can't wait to play the main game!

This was so much fun, though the story finale was inconsistent with the early part of the story. I've been using Zombies, Run! since 2015 so the idea that this is just after arriving in the township is excellent. I thought the drills were a bit odd but they do work as they definitely helped me get through my 5k after not running in several years. Highly recommend. Best part, you only have to do it 3 days a week unlike other 5k training apps/programs. Must scroll to reach next workout though.

I've struggled to stick with fitness in the past. I get bored and discouraged and give up. I started using this app about a month ago, and I've been sticking with it. The 'stories' aren't nonstop like an audiobook, but they're more like a running coach encouraging you at intervals and motivating you to keep going. They're interesting enough (sometimes serious, funny, or both) that it helps me get going on my run because I want to know what happens next. They're not scary (I run at night).
