Tried to get it to work with Vitelty. It would make outgoing calls but not receive calls. Uninstalled and installed another voip and it worked instantly. not sure what the issue was. Update: uninstalled and reinstalled. worked this time. updated review to 5 stars. also bought the pro under my other gmail. why because it supports multiple lines and you know which line they call. nice feature.

This app no longer works reliably. On most calls, people can't hear me. I contacted the developer, and their only solution was subscribing to their push service ($1/month). I've since bought Acrobits softphone, which has push built in with no ongoing fee. Why can't you do it this way, Zoiper, and make it a one-time upgrade?

I bought the Gold version for enhanced bluetooth support. Even after uninstalling the app, bluetooth for my Note 9 was totally FUBAR. In addition, lacks support to forward calls if no answer, a directory for other SIP users or any type of contact support. It connects very well to our VOIP system, that is the only upside I found with it.

Has good reception for the most part. Works for incoming, outgoing calls and sms. Confusing, It took me a few hours to figure out how to set it up, but works well when set up correctly. I'm sure I'm not using it to it's full capacity cause it's to confusing and I don't want to mess up the connection.

Try the free app but do not spend any money on this product. The lite version worked poorly for me so I spent the money to get more features - big mistake. It never would work to make a phone call again once upgraded. I was out of country and could not resolve the incident reported through their support team within the time we were traveling (just over a week) so I gave up on this product. If your looking for a Softphone app keep looking. spend a little more money for magicjack and use their Softphone solution, at least it worked.

Nice app very reliable. However hands free is broken when voice dialing. Must select network on phone to use to place call even when there is only one network available. Would change rating to five if there were a way to be able to make a completely hands free call when on blue tooth in my vehicle. ----- Tried new app, changing rating to 1, will not use an app that will not allow the change of a disgusting color scheme without paying money.

Zoiper only rings when the screen is on but fails to wake up when the phone is asleep. I’ve disabled battery optimization, allowed background activity, and granted all permissions, yet I still only get a missed call notification instead of an actual ring. This makes the app unreliable for real-time calls. If you need push notifications or instant call wake-up, look elsewhere.

Update 8/8/2019: it was a bug in the older version's implementation of the Do Not Disturb while in a call. All is well now. One suggestion, however. Can BLF be added to the list of features? Great softphone app, with one issue. When an incoming call happens, it sometimes sets the Android ringer volume to 0 which causes missed calls over the (main) cellular network. Zoiper still rings at full volume. This also forces all audio (call and media) to the earpiece.

Used to work fine, now it doesn't. I generally get a ring in my phone through the app, but now there is NO WAY TO ANSWER THE CALL! My phone rings, I know it's the app, but no popup or notifications on the screen. I've tried to quickly open the app when a call is coming in but there's still no indication or way to answer! I was going to upgrade to get more reliable calls, but I don't think that would affect this issue.

This app use to work well, but now it will not register...when it does, it doesn't stay registered for long, and either disconnects or stays in a constant state of registering. I have to close and restart the app for it to register. I use this for my business and pay for the pro version, annual fee. This has become completely unreliable. If the issue can not be fixed I will be forced to cancel my subscription and seek a better soft phone elsewhere. I don't know what changed, but it's worthless.

This was an absolutely phenomenal app, the one that all others were measured against, until they released the 2.n versions. With that upgrade, their excellent user interface was turned into a Windows 10esque monstrosity, making the app virtually unusable. Since then, I have downgraded to their 1.53 version, (the last version with the classic interface), and have been stuck there. If it wasn't for the fact that it works so well with my provider, I would drop it like a rotten tomato. If you like an interface reminiscent of Windows 10, go ahead. If you want an app with a clean, functional interface, go somewhere else. Developer response: The new interface is identical to the native dialer on recent android versions. My answer: Not true - at least in some cases. I have a Samsung Galaxy smartphone running Android 5.n and an ASUS Zenpad running Android 6.n. both of the "default" (native) dialers are more like the 1.n versions than the 2.n. My opinion still stands. If you like an interface similar to Windows 10, it's a great choice. If you prefer a cleaner, easier to use (IMHO) interface, either find the latest 1.n version somewhere, or download something else.

Purchased Gold in 2016. Nearly every time there has been an update since, the Premium features get disabled and I need to "jump through hoops" to get it to start working again. Really, really, really frustrated with this! ***Updated Part*** In response to the reply from developer...That is exactly my point. This is the answer we get year over year. I have had to go through that same troubleshooting over and over, and it still breaks with updates. Why should I have to keep uninstalling it and re-entering my SIP accounts to fix your licensing issue? With a degree in Computer Network Admin, I assure you I know to "turn it off and on again" and have Force Stopped it many many times. Instead of giving the same canned answer for years, please correct the problem which causes it to break in the first place.

It worked just fine until I signed up for the premium then it stopped working. It started timing out and it couldn't register. Edit: Upgrading to premium enabled a feature called "push proxy" which broke my SIP connection and I can't answer incoming calls without that feature. So, bottom line, free version works for me and premium doesn't. I had to install under a different google account to disable the premium. Update: support helped me to get it working. Maybe I'll feel differently after I've used it for a while but, for now, it's 3 stars because I think that an upgrade(especially a paid upgrade) shouldn't break a working configuration. The worst thing, for me, is that it changed the settings and, as far as I could tell, didn't tell me what settings had been changed.

Overall I'm pretty satisfied with Zoiper. It's stable, and the call quality is usually pretty good. It usually runs reliably in the background on my OnePlus 7 Pro and doesn't seem to have a significant negative impact on battery life. Phone calls come through reliably even when I haven't used the app in a while. Overall the app has been stable, and I'm satisfied. I haven't had a good reason to look for another SIP client. Feature rich for those that require advanced setting control for those who need it, supports TLS encryption for calls which is a plus for me. The only problem that I have is that it doesn't seem to launch the Zoiper app/service when the phone restarts even though I've selected the option within the app to have it do so. I have to manually open the app at least once. Annoying when this causes you to miss a call, but after you launch the app it seems fine and stays connected.

the problem isn't that the app doesn't work, the problem is it's a huge data and battery drain, even when I didn't use it once in a month it used 4 gigs of cell data before the month was over, with no use, with data saver enabled and it used more battery than pandora which I listen to daily for 2 to sometimes 12 hours on late nights. how does that work out?

Intermittently fails to register with the voip service ( Phone booth). Exiting the app and relaunching does not help. Have to reboot the pixel2 phone and the app will register and may give a few hours of service before it fails again. I have changed the rating to 3 stars from 1. the updated app stays connected to the VOIP but sometimes incoming calls dont ring on the phone.

I had zoiper for a long time. I had a problem that with push notifications paid for an enabled, the app would restart in a few minutes and would rapidly drain my battery (if I wanted incoming calls). I talked to support about it and they said it is because of server settings and they couldn't do anything. I switched to another voip client and the problem went away so it must be something about the client. Also, competition doesn't have a subscription for the push service but a one-time payment.

Well I would love to give the app 5 stars for sure it has everything and works well. HOWEVER on my Galaxy s8 which it may be an issue specific too, the caller ID for the incoming call is darn near illegible! It goes off the screen. If it's a cell phone without a name all you will see is wireless caller (21..... I mean there is no setting to change it. I have to miss the call and check the call log to see the number. Pretty much this is a deal breaker to me. I downloaded grandstream waze also free

I've paid for the monthly subscription as well as the premium upgrade. I've been going several weeks now in which I am unable to answer any calls, they all go straight to voice mail. I contacted customer service, which you can only do by email, last week and the service worked great for two days. Now I'm back to the same issues as before. Would be nice to be able to actually talk to a real person @ tech support.

I've run Zoiper on Windows and Android with both FreePBX with pretty good results. It's easy to setup, responsive, and isn't a terrible battery hog. It handles hand-off (Wifi to Cellular) pretty gracefully while on a call and supports a wide range of codecs. I briefly trialed the Sibscription version only to be told the features I wanted/needed were only available with an ADDITIONAL premium subscription. I went back to FREE. I had to un/reinstall after the trial to get it working again.
