Got questions? We have answers.

Can intermittent fasting help me lose weight?

Yes! Fasting alters how often you eat, which helps you eat less without counting calories or going on a diet. Intermittent fasting also encourages healthier, more conscientious choices around what you eat. Finally, intermittent fasting enables your body to tap into its fat stores for fuel so that you burn fat faster.

Used to be great & simple. Now the UI/UX is ALWAYS constantly changing, that either it's buggy or the UX just doesn't make sense when you're trying to start or end a fast, or when trying to edit a start/end time. STOP CHANGING THINGS. MAKE IT WORK & THEN LEAVE IT ALONE. if things don't get fixed within the next couple months, will probably switch over to a different fasting app bc I am incredibly irritated at this point.

I've been using this app for a year or so and it's been lovely. But this latest update makes it completely useless. There's no indication of it in app, but the custom fasting timer is now a paid feature, when it's always been free. This means the longest fast you can track without paying is 36 hours. Barely long enough to reach ketosis. It's a shame because the UI is nice and I've liked this app a lot, but I guess I have to find an alternative.

Their updates keep breaking the app more and more. I regret buying the premium version because the next update made the app nonfunctional in many spots and it's buggy wherever it does kinda work. You sometimes have to start/end your fast twice for it to register. It tells you to click buttons that don't exist. The fasting plan function can't be accessed because the button doesn't show up anymore. It's crazy how this got through quality control.

The free version is a great basic app that helps keep you honest about the start and end times of your fasts. My two complaints are these: 1) Anytime I try to upgrade to the paid version, I get an error message that I am offline and can't get access. This seems to be a pretty big roadblock if the creators of the app ever hope to make any money on this. And 2) the notifications about being halfway done with my fast, only an hour to go, etc, all come at the same time- which is not helpful.

Beautiful UI, Fasting timer is nice but other apps have it as well. I found the app to be buggy, for example I would set up a 20 hour fast and the app would say "get ready for your 11-hour fast". After starting a fast let's say at 7:00 p.m. I would still receive a notification at 8:00 p.m. to get ready to begin my fast. Sometimes when trying to set the schedule you would make an adjustment to time and it would revert back to default and you would have to enter it again.

This is just a timer and not even a very good timer (sometimes it forgets that you stopped or started it). It's also just another thing for you to remember to do. You have to click start or end fast. If you forget, you'll be going in and editing the time retrospectively. Ultimately, what's the point. If you're intermittently fasting, you probably are doing it based on the time. You're far better off to just set an alarm on your phone. 2 stars for having some good info.

The app is okay. There is quite a lot of ad bloatware. Every screen has something that says buy premium. Premium is a scam and not worth a monthly subscription. ALSO--if you press complete fast, there is no way to return to the previous tracking screen. Another downside is there no way of updating your goal from gray to green on the calender if you wanted to change it after completing the fast.

Was loving it until I got to day 27 out of 28 on a challenge & for some reason I was removed from the challenge... Calendar says I met the goal but when I went to join the challenge again the screen was mostly blank... Kind of a bummer.. That challenge helped encourage me to not fail so I guess I'm grateful for that, just confused by the glitch. Still 4 stars because it's really helping me to be intentional! Easy to use.

Latest app versions haven't been working properly. The coach tab (I was a subscriber) didn't show my plan (and referenced invisible "edit" buttons). Each time I open the app it asks if I want to save my most recent fast and if I choose to discard (and bypass this erroneous screen) it undoes (at least one) of my most recent fasts that were in fact saved. Poor app state management and a bad user experience.

I have been using the app for years. Suddenly the app isn't opening without crashing. Can't record anything and all my data looks to be gone. Can't check for sure because app force closes within seconds of opening. Hope they fix whatever bug is messing up the app. -update: Received response from co. Bug was fixed and working again. Kudos to them for really being on top of things and troubleshooting so quickly. All data is back as well. Thanks 😊

The Good- It tracks fasts simply. It reminds you that you are done. It allows you to edit start and end times. The Bad- How do you feel? The bloody thing's default is to ask several times a day apparently. Sometimes I'll tell it and the next screen asks AGAIN! I was able to change the settings but who thought asking several times a day, sometimes several times a minute, was at all helpful? Also I'd like to manually add a weight without using Google Fit. Lastly, It sometimes freezes up.

Was very good, probably best fasting app out there. However, as of late, it has become buggy. Specifically, when I open the app it sometimes shows the initial outline of the screen but loads no data and cannot interact with it. Google pixel 6, all updates applied. Very annoying, and becoming more frequent. Will be unusable soon.

app has some issues. It asks you to log journal entries but they can't be found after entered. Found out that this function is not possible on android, despite being advertised as part of the premium version. Customer service is responsive and the app has many helpful tips and good features. Some of the charts are hard to figure out but they do have a good help section and as said CS is responsive and helpful.

Installed the app and started the 7-Day trial. Was working great and offered all I wanted...until today, day five. When I tried to open the app, I got a screen stating "this version of the app is no longer supported. Please visit the Play store for the latest update". No new updates are available. I can't even log into the app now. Tried uninstalling, restarting my phone, etc without success. Not planning to continue subscription if I can't use the app. :(

The mood journal still seems to be hit and miss, same for meal entries. I am not going to pay to get better things. I can do my meal logging on Atkins at no charge, with many foods built-in to the app. But tracking my fasts is the primary reason for using it. Keeps me motivated when I look at the calendar for all my fasting data. That's a huge perk along with the challenges.

Keep me on track and a great reminder of when to begin my fed-state/fast-state. (5 stars) Updated Review: This app is no longer what it was. Whenever I want to begin or end my fast, the timer is no longer visible. I'd have to restart my phone for the timer to be displayed. The updates have made the app unbearable instead of useful. I love this app!! I am an experienced faster, but I need a way to track other than my calendar. I use this in conjunction with a glucose and ketone monitor. Being able to log my levels in the app is super convenient. With that additional tracking, I feel like I am getting a better overall picture of my fasting journey. I did buy the plus membership. I am enjoying the library of information available. No issues since beginning use. Would recommend.

Have been using paid version. As of today, cannot use the app at all: "This version of Zero is no longer supported. Please update to the latest version to continue using the app." I uninstalled/reinstalled, cleared cache - no change. It would be sad to lost quite a bit of data I've accumulated over the years. Hope the issue is fixed. Update: the bug was fixed

I like the app, but 80% of the time the main page is just two white squares. It isn't helpful at all! I checked for an update, but there is nothing. I'm going to try out a different app. Very frustrating! Update: switched over to Fasting Tracker. It does the same thing as Zero and actually opens! I really liked Zero when it worked, but I'm glad I found a suitable replacement. I will check back periodically to see if Zero corrects the problem, but I don't have high hopes.

Update 7/7/24: Uninstalled. Issue not resolved, and developer response is not helpful. You know the issue is widespread, I shouldn't have to email you. When it works, it's handy. Unfortunately, most of the time it won't load, just keeps spinning and spinning. I have to wait until the next day to edit the start time, for example. I also can't go back and add a fast if I forgot to push start - or at least I can't get it operational long enough to find how to do that.
