More About Zenith Bank eToken
The Customer will incur a single charge of N1500 for activation of the e-Token.
By activating the e-token on your device, you hereby consent to debit of the relevant linked account with the applicable activation charge.
Note that the Bank may review the activation charge from time to time without notice to Customer.
A one-time password (OTP) is a series of characters that automatically authenticates the user for a single transaction or session. It is also an alternative to the Hardware Token.
Activate the App using the activation details stated below
Register as an Individual
Select Activation Method
Hardware Token:
Account Number + 4-digit Server PIN and Hardware Token Code
Debit Cards:
Account Number + ZENITH Bank issued ATM card (last 6-digits of the customer's PAN #) and the 4-digit card PIN

This app is basically fraud. First, you are not allowed to register the Zenith Bank app with your ATM card and the only option is to use this e-token app. But here is and twist: you will be charged 1500NGN after getting the e-token. It gets worse. Not only are you not informed prior about this charge, but if you format your phone, you can't just login to this app to continue getting the e-tokens. You start from scratch and get charged again. I am lodging a complaint with the SEC and the CBN.

This rubbish they call etoken is as good as dead. I won' lie that i was only able to use it once. And that was when i wanted to authorize the bank mobile app on my new phone, which i was unknowingly charged #1,500. I swear the money really pained me. Since then, it has not been useful for online transactions at all. This bank's theft is well organized and official

This is the most insane app I've ever seen, I downloaded with the mindset of getting an OTP to authorize my transactions, but unfortunately it's worst app ever😡. I wanna register my new device for my mobile app and this stuff is just showing me more errors and errors I don't even understand. Please am supposed to be rating it 0 start how I wish there was such 😒. This is no good. Uninstalling........

I have been struggling for days now to get my etoken App set up,but hasn't been easy,Here is my chellenge: I was able to enter the following details : Serial number,Activation code and User I.D which was sent to me.All these information was entered on my e-token App.and after that it took me to the section i screen shot above,of which OTP was generated several each time I tap the red menu as seen on the screen shot(generate OTP) But it has never took me out of this section where I can enter the 6figures i recieve as the OTP.At this point am confuse as I have exhausted all efforts to get this solve,pls I need a more easy approach to get this mobile App working. Thanks I look for to quick response. Ugbor Francis.

It is not possible to leave a review on an app without clicking on a star, otherwise, this STUPID app is just a blight to software engineering! The idea of getting an app that can come in handy in the place of a hardware token is genius. But this app, being unable to even startup, is a DISGRACE to an excellent organisation as Zenith Bank.

Generally I was reluctant to download the app after reading through most of the negative review here. I was forced to come here when all other means of reaching Zenith customer service were fruitless. I bought a new phone too and had to use my app on it. I downloaded this app and was able to get my etoken through the help of my sim card and atm card. It was an easy process and I'll recommend it to anyone that is trying to access his or her mobile app after getting a new device.

This app is quite helpful but my only worry is the fact that the app has no option for logout. This has security implications. One can easily purchase something online if they have access to your phone and master card. Zenith developers should consider giving user option to logout of etoken after every transaction. My candid submision

Worst app ever, since I downloaded it I've been trying to use the hardware opt, and the debit card opt for two months.m now it doesn't work, keeps telling card not allowed or unsuccessful due to an error... Like seriously zenith bank has really gone from best bank of the year to worst bank of all times.

I think, i should've rated it zero star cause this app is not doing what it is supposed to do. The only thing it does is fail, everytime I want to verify my bank app with it, instead of proceeding to send otp, it will always fail. Please work on this thing you call an app. It's been three days and I can't make payments, please fix the app ASAP.

As bright and wonderful as today was, I got a debited N1500 from using this app, which is already enough to make me leave the bank. Like they never mentioned the pay anywhere! I double check that site and I still came back to the app store to check if I'll see any bill somewhere, but I didn't. They just enforce payment on you disregarding your activities! They basically just stole my money because they keeping it for me, and they hide behind service charge! I'm disappointed at zenith bank 💔

This is the most useless Bank app I've ever used in Nigeria. I have been using it for at least four years now and it has never improved. Very unreliable. Always disappointing. Even the ATM card is also the same. Sometimes, I wonder the criteria they use in judging bank of the year. The worst of all is today. It has never come up since today. I will opt of Zenith bank to avoid unnecessary disappointments. Nonsense!

App downloads and installs quite smoothly, but would crash when attempt is made to open the app. This happens severally until in the interest of peace on my mobile phone, I just have to uninstall. App need to be worked on further before publishing. No star, since I could not use it. But I was compelled to put 1 star before I could post my comment

Don't waste your time with this app, the debit card option doesn't work, you still need to go to bank to get hardware token or get it activated at the bank. Horrible app functionality. If it was possible to give a half or quarter star rating. It will be appropriate for this app.

I downloaded this app and stalled it but i was charged 1500 upon activating it in my device, it really annoyed me because the app never stated that i will pay any charge but that aside, something happened and i had to format my phone. when i downloaded the app back on the same device it was activated, it was showing the exact same process i went through before i got debited the first time instead of showing a place where i can log in as one that have activated his/her account

Great app! It really works wallahi!.. I've been trying to get my hardware token for two weeks but I was unable to do that, then I just decided to go to play store and update the app maybe it would work. Upon getting to play store, I just saw this app and I decided to give it a try, and luckily, I was able to get my hardware token and pin with the first trial!..a job well done #Zenith Bank..May you keep soaring high!

1) For a soft copy with no material cost like hardware token, N1,500 is much cos of d nos of costomer base and its yearly as someone told me. Even if it is lifetime, still too much. 2) phones & app can crash, get formated or lost. So another paymemt to reinstal & activate again on SAME phone, even if it is different phone. It should be usable across devices. 3) No extra secrurity layer to get into the app. So easily accesible to others. No wonder the bank's app stopped working without token.

The app isn't secure as there is no icon for signing out. Even when the app is opened after 2 days, it doesn't ask for any log in details. It just signs in automatically. That means if anyone gets access to my phone, they can open the app and generate a token. Keep in mind you can make any change on the Zenith bank app with token generated.. All measures of security thrown in the bin

Since I downloaded this app, I have never been able to synchronize it with my debit card. It keeps telling me 'card not allowed'. Please remove this app from the playstore until you can fix the issues. It's embarrassing

This app is so unreliable! It's a struggle to log in after multiple attempts and I have to resort to using the web platform. It also doesn't allow me view details or transaction details of past transactions. If you don't choose to generate a receipt immediately after a transaction, you can never do it again.

Garbage app. False options to get activation codes to register with hardware token or debit card which prompts "unsuccessful due to error" only to require me to fly down to Nigeria with the usual "visit the nearest branch" just to get an activation code. I have 2 bank accounts from 2 major UK banks with much more complex security mechanisms and never seen the four walls of their bank buildings.
