Playing Zen Word 10 minutes a day brings you incredible, challenging, and relaxing experiences.
Zen Word® is a free word game for adults that helps to train your brain and sharpen your mind. All words in Zen Word are uncrossed, without any logical connection that can give hints to help you solve the puzzles. In Zen Word, you need to search and connect the correct letters to find 20 hidden words on average in each level to test your vocabulary. The length of the phrase is the only clue that will help you find all the words and solve the puzzles. Therefore, Zen Word has very high requirements for your vocabulary and spelling skills.

Zen Word is very different from word search games. The game's difficulty will increase sharply as you find more words in Zen Word. The rest of the words could be tough to remember and spell.

All the backgrounds and music are carefully selected in the Zen style.

The ad for this game said "no annoying ads," which doesn't mean "no ads." Ads still pop up without you asking them to, the kind that cover the whole screen so you can only watch until you can exit out of them. Playing for less than 10 minutes, got two ads, and the final straw was the pop up to a web browser claiming I'd won something on Amazon. Absolutely not.

Downloaded because the ad claimed there were no ads. There are ads, of course. Beyond the misleading advertising, seems like any other word game. I would give a higher rating, but feel duped and despise the unnecessary omission of a need to pay to have no ads. In all likelihood I'd pay for ad removal, but don't trust that it would actually remove the ads after that shady activity.

Wanted to give this game a chance, and the game itself is ok - but there's waaaaaaaay too many ads. Like 30 second ads for 30 second gameplay, it's anything but "zen" or relaxing. There's no $x ad free version, it's pay to "remove ads for a week". In a puzzle game. Good riddance.

A bit heavy on the ads and seems a bit random, like you'll be able to play a 2-3 rounds with no ads, then ads every round for 5 rounds. Ads get LONGER as you progress. Like 30-60 seconds. Now there's 2 ads each time. You don't get enough coins for completing tasks and puzzles, so it's extremely hard to get hints (I.e. extra letters) when you need them. And there's a glitch where often you will actually type in the correct word and it will not recognize it until you ask for hints and watch ADS.

This is a relaxing game. None of the words have a difficulty level beyond a grade-school vocabulary. But, it's a nice game to fall asleep to. Reason for 2 stars: There are zero guides or instructions. While the game is intuitive, the purpose of the different "hints" is NOT notated anywhere. I don't like to blindly use things, so a simple guide or pictogram would solve the confusion.

I paid for the removal of interstitial ads (ads between levels) and banner ads (ads at the bottom of the game page) but I'm still getting ads between every level. The help center in the app appears to just be an automated AI that offers no real help. I reinstalled the app but there is no option to restore my purchase. I want my money back. They said they would send guidance on getting a refund but sent nothing. I sent an email but they did not reply.

No help when contacting support. Paid for no ads & I still had ads. The game crashed after a few days and the only way to fix it was to uninstall it & reinstall . Lost all levels and had to start over. Horrible name, ZEN, supposed to relax you, doesn't even come close. Notifications were also extremely annoying.

This is a good word game ruined by ads. The positive messages, butterfly farming, and increasing difficulty are all great. As stated in the beginning the game is ruined by ads. There should not be one after every single level. The length of the ads is horrendous as well as suspected malware with the fake Amazon popups. The number of users deleting the app would be reduced if the ads were limited. The sound effects changed with the last update. The new sounds are not zen at all.

This is a lovely game. Challenging and well thought out. Unfortunately, the programming of the ads do not allow the game to progress once the ad has run its 5 minute program. The screen does not freeze, no, it just keeps cycling it's last frame ad infinitum. Your only recourse is to click out of the game, play once, and go through the same scenario with the same ad when the current game is over. I understand the need for ads to keep the games free, but there needs to be oversight !!! Shame.

The screenshots for this game is very misleading. I played through about 35+ levels and all of them are short games, 8 words to find or less. Also, after about 5 games the ads start getting ridiculous. An ad after every 1-2 levels. You can pay to go ad-less, but it only takes away ads for a week. The concept is good, execution not so much. Would not recommend.

The game is fun and still challenging. The only problem us the paid advertising. Some of the ads, particularly the one that say "you are a winner" as well as a few others cannot be closed short of closing the whole darn game, waiting a while and then restarting the game!! It should not require that much hassle. So editing my review. It has completely stopped working and I had to uninstall. Too bad really, because it's a fun game, but black screen makes it impossible to play.

I'm not quite sure what is going on with this game, but I played a few thousand levels, and started to have trouble (glitches, the same dozen sequences on repeat), so I deleted and reinstalled, and it is not the same game at all--words start repeating before you even hit level 300 (and you can get through the levels very quickly). All of the difficult levels are just gone. I noticed that it seems to have been purchased by a different company since I first downloaded it, with worsening glitches.

Too many ads! And they are the long ads too! ... I like the game, it's very relaxing because of the music and graphics. And the word seeking is challenging. BUT there are too many ads, and not the short 5-sec ones, the long kind that last for a minute. That undoes the relaxing part for me, so it's not worth it. I'm uninstalling. You should make an ad-free version.

Too many ads which require too many clicks. You have to click at least three buttons to get out of the ads and you often get an ad after completing a level and then another before you start the next level. Each of these ads are over a minute long every time. The actual game is fun but you waste half the play time waiting for the excessive ads to end and I don't feel particularly compelled to give them money to make it stop when they decided to make it that obnoxious in the first place

I downloaded this game from an ad that promised it was ad free. Instead you get two ads every level, no matter how easy or short it is. One ad at the beginning and one at the end. Don't advertise your game as ad free, if your only offering to sell a week long ad free experience. Especially when other games allow you to do a one time purchase to get no ads. This is incredibly underhanded and skeezy.

FORCED DOWNLOADS ... This app forces you to download other apps to continue to play - no thanks. 5/29/24 I gave it another chance when I discovered that I could X out of the downloads option. I had since downloaded another game, and the ads were shorter, faster to X out of, and less frequent, so I stand by my original review and deleted this app a second time. You need players as much as you need ads. You're not unique, there are other games like this one.

Deceptive add removal offer. Thought I was paying to remove ads permanently, but it was only for a week. They use the word "weekly" to make it seem like it's a weekly sale, not a weekly purchase. It's a fun game, but the adds are 60 seconds and will not leave your screen until you click and end up in the app store for the adverted game. This game it not worth $50 a year to remove ads. Uninstalled.

The game is fine, but not very challenging for me. The reason for my rating is the number of ads. They are intrusive, long, and annoying to get out of. The other games I play, I have the option to watch ads to receive bonuses or not, the ads are not forced on me every 2-3 levels cleared. I am uninstalling the game now because of this.

After I played the first 2 levels, it asked if I wanted to keep playing the beginner levels or skip ahead in skillset to level 26. I've never played another game that let you skip all the boringly easy beginner levels before. I was able to play at least 10 levels before I hit a single ad, which is impressive for mobile games nowadays. My only complaint is that, if you guess wrong enough times, it'll give you the first letter of the word you're missing, which I don't like, but some people may

Sure, the game play is fine, if you could ever get past the ridiculously long and frequent ads. I have no problem with an ad-supported game - people have to make money somehow. Unskippable ads that take 30 to 60 seconds are excessive, especially when each one is directly followed by 10-second ads. Not only that, but ads are shown what each two rounds. I'm saying that literally. I could but the game, but that would be caving to the intent of excessive ads. Moving on.
