The app creates fun photos, but nothing credible. I was using this for creating art but in a realistic way. The smoothing technique is too fake & options for foundation are slim. The hair color... let's not go there. It's a good app for kids. In addition, I had uploaded the basic version... somehow was charged for the 1 year premium version in the middle of the night while I was sleeping. That was shady...

I choose my pic to make over and it loads and then to the eyes options to do my mascara. Once I click on the mascara, it shows a spinning circle in the middle of my face and its stuck there. The app freezes at that point and has to be closed or I cant go any further with it. It happens every time! Ive been able to do my lips before this happens too. It wont save as its closed either. Please fix or explain what I need to do to fix it. I'll change my review again once i an use it. Thanks!

Mixed feelings; overall the app is great, but has issues with failure to open. It frequently displays a white screen with the YouCam logo and the phrase "Updating data..." for an indefinite period of time (I once waited over 2 hours, app never opened). Uninstall & reinstall will fix this for a few months, but re-downloading all the "looks" and other in-app components is tedious. When it chooses to open, the app is well-designed and user-friendly, with a huge variety of uses (5-star experience).

I hate that the new option to "allow data processing for a better experience" doesn't allow us to opt out, if I click no it just prevents me from editing my photo. I don't want a "virtual try on and skin analysis experience" (whatever that even means) and I don't want you collecting my data. This app used to be good but you guys have ruined it by trying to make it into some sort of social media website, all I want is a photo editor.

UPDATE: I've had this app for a very long time and until today would never had thought to uninstall it. I went in to touch up a photo and was continually bombarded by the ads for the paid version. I get showing the ad once, but don't try and trick me to pay. It is a fun app, but I'm tired of having to click back to the original task. Uninstalling.

I don't leave many reviews but I've used th his application since it first came out and noticed the alignment of the dots to set up precisely where certain parts of the face would place makeup, it is not saving after fixing it multiple times. For example... if ears are not show in ng in the pic and you try to fix it, it just resets back to way over on the side, hence making it appear that blush is off your face floating.... I know it's a application but a lot of us try to get the picture perfect

SUCKS!!! Installed and once again had to uninstall for the 4th or 5th time this year without being able to actually make up one picture. Constant buffering and glitches. This used to be my favorite beauty/photography app not sure who you fired but you may want to find them and hire them back! Wish it wasn't this way and can't say I didn't try but by no choice of my own... I'M OUTTA HERE!

For tweaking photos, making corrections to color and missing spots left by other apps etc, it works well. It has many options, allows you to fine-tune hair coloring in a "draw-on-picture" fashion, but the fine tune function could use a little tweaking for precision. I even allows you to make gradual changes in color and tone to clothing skin background etc not just hair. I have no idea how it works for "makeovers" but it seems to work well for editing, blending, corrections etc.

This app is fun to use and really works! It's great to add makeup to a photo when I just didn't have the time (or energy) to do it before the photo was taken! I'm loving playing with it and want to try some more looks! I wish you could soften jaw lines and smooth vertical neck lines for those of us who are a wee bit older... Maybe next update, developers?

Despite it crashing on opening the app, now quite often, basically anytime I try to use it, I really do LOVE this app! It's super cool, & if someone has a lot of skin/eye allergies or sensitive skin & can't wear a lot of makeup, then this is a fantastic option! EDIT: Runs SLOW frequently now, & doesn't crash as often. Has more to offer w/editing features. Could use added manual shaping features for eye shapes like downturned/hooded eyes. Still an amazing app, BUT, it will still crash at times.

The loading time for this app used to be a big issue. As much as I love the app it would sometimes take almost 7-8 minutes to load. Because of this the times I used the app became less frequent. I guess close to a month had passed since I had last used this app and when I opened it I was so excited and suprised to see that it loaded with on 15 seconds. So since that issue has been fixed this app is perfect. The quality is matched by any other app of it's kind. I have tried many other editing apps. If your editing a photo ( of your face obviously ) u won't find another app that makes it looks more natural and with as many options. Another thing I have found impressive is that over time and with each update it's ky gotten better. Experience with other apps has taught me that updates don't always mean better. This is one app that has gotten it right. I know I'm going on and on but srsly you cam make up deserves it. Best quality, most features, most realistic, no bugs or glitches to your phone, and only gotten better and more impressive. And the best part it's still a free app. Good job perfect Corp.

edit- Jan 2019: love the realistic photo effects. I use this app all the time and it is the best that I've found for beauty editing. my problem with it is that it keeps freezing. I thought that maybe I'd accumulated too many looks in the "my looks" tab, but there's no method to remove them besides one by one. half the time, my looks wouldn't load at all and it'd be trying to load the default "look" until I forcequit. I wish it would open the photo editing function without applying a look.

This is fun for trying on different makeup looks. (I wish there was something like this for hairstyles.) You can also edit photos, but I don't use those features. I had to deduct a star now that they've added a hairstyle feature. The hairstyle feature is awful. There are only a couple for free and a handful total. It also gives me wonky eyebrows with the hair change. The hair feature is pretty much terrible in every way.

UPDATE - of course, they had to get greedy and ruin it. NOTHING is for free now. You can't even permanently buy it. You have to renew every year😡 it's so upsetting. I've had this for 10 yr. This has some lovely natural looks, and of course, you can create thousands of color combinations from the colors they offer. I have used this on many of my pictures where I have not worn any makeup & people thought that I was wearing makeup. It looks that natural, but sometimes you have to tweak the colors.

I loved this app. I had been using it for years until recently. I slowly stopped using it to revise my photos. Because at the beginning, there were options to join the vip perks. But now you can't use any of the makeup options without paying for them. There's a lot of neat designs/choices for creativity. But, also a lot that wouldn't be used either. I don't think personally for myself that it's worth the price. Especially when you try to use the eyelash feature and it doesn't line up correctly.

This app is Great 👍 The AI does it all for you pretty much. It's not difficult to use either. I gave it 4 stars cuz when you go to choose a different hair style they look like mop heads just then on your head AND if you were to change a style it won't let you choose the color with it. Very aggravating. If they fixed it then I change it to 5 stars.

Instant make up touches! I tried my coworkers they see themselves before and after. Update, 02/24 been using since 2016 use be free then I got the subscription, but I see price is gone way up. Feedback from folks it is lagging alot. I think 24.99 is too much pay this year if you're not going fix delays when picking a picture to edit then it loads gets stuck in the app. I see how I feel by September before renewing.

I've said it before but I will say it again this app is horrible for recognizing where your eyes and mouth are, unless the photo is perfectly straight on with all the AI features on this, it can't recognize where your eyes and mouth are. Since the main reason I paid was for the undereye bag tool, this is incredibly frustrating and manually moving all the dots often still does not work. So many free apps recognize where your eyes and mouth are no problem but youcam has the best eyebag tool

I loved this app for years. It provided choices for paid vs free, and had great features. More recently, they changed most of the free to paid. They added AI which are free in other apps. It's now more difficult to navigate through what's paid. After choosing 9 photos to download, you then find out a feature requires payment. Feels like they got too confident with their offering. Disappointed and uninstalling.

ABSOLUTE SCAM. Very few hairstyle try on options. Not realistic at all. It gives you 3 free options. Then, you have to subscribe to see a total of 8 styles. No color choices at all. The subscription says you can cancel through the Play Store, but it's very hard to figure out how to cancel. If you try to Uninstall it, it tells you your subscription is still active.
