Who would've thought that Yandex was actually the best alternative to Google out there? I'm very impressed. As a westerner, it feels strange to dip into a digital ecosystem that isn't Google or Apple but with how clean and simple and easy Yandex all is, I'm pretty sure this suite of apps is worth trusting my data towards. Congratulations Russia. Very good work here.

I've been using this browser for as long as I can remember and it was my go-to all these years instead of Google. But now it's almost unsusable. It takes me 3 times to just get it to work properly, first 2 times I just open it and it closes itself like 30 seconds later. And even after a couple of tries it's still not guaranteed that it'll work for more than 5 minutes. I'm now planning to migrate everything I have to Google. Very disappointing all in all even tho it started amazing

This browser sucks. It's super hard to create an account because I'm not a Russian. There's an English version of the image but it always fails even you entered correct. I answered it correctly and it still failing your image verification, I tried many times, and it's still failing. Plus this thing doesn't even have incognito mode. The UI is good better than the other Yandex with protect. Also, while I'm signing in with Google it fails with some error. Can't I just login/sign up with email?

Not quite comfortable to work with smart home services. To reach the list of your smart devices you firstly have to follow the route: app's main screen->services->devices->control devices. Sooo complicated... like a quest every time. Why don't you just create separate smart home app or leave links on the main screen. At least you can create vidgets for the main screen to control your smart home 'with one click'. Now it looks like you've tried to mix everything in one app... P.s. Adjusted my rate

ENGLISH UPDATE: It's been another year of updating my review and suggesting they implement English support which shouldn't be difficult considering they have translation technology etc. There is still no full English support and it doesn't look like they intend on adding it, it's been years with no change. WHAT'S NEW: Since one year ago it mostly only looks like the app has had UI changes and a new app icon. App is bloated with Yandex services and a messy design that looks very unpleasant.

The worst application I have even used! Many times I tried to make a purchase but I get waiting loop, I put my card information but also I get error.

I think the app is not particularly useful if you don't speak Russian or if you use other Yandex apps already. However, the Yandex Image Search functionality is FANTASTIC! The results are consistently better than those of Google's Image Search. The Yandex algorithm just "gets it". I am really impressed and the fact that you can search for images quite comfortably with this app is worth 4 stars alone.

On all platforms, yandex's auto translation is unreliable. Constantly have to manually tell it to translate. Can we just assume if I'm translating to English that the photos should be as well? Enough of double asking. Aliexpress every click opens a new tab. Stop that. Less tabs =less stress. Accused of being a robot too often and almost locked out. Email has times it doesn't load correctly or takes forever to load but has excellent features. Image/reverse search is 💯

I have been trying as much as possible to use Yandex. I like Yandex including the interface, but... there's a problem. For 3 years I still struggling with the language. I selected English language but randomly and suddenly the interface turns partially Russian language (cyrillic I think). I don't know. Yandex search engine is so good or better then Google. I have been using Yandex but from a different account .

A lot of room for improvement. Most of it is in Russian, which is great if you know Russian! Not so much if you don't. Installed the app to try to run chrome extensions however seems like that was disabled. Also tried to request desktop website but the option isn't where yandex support webpage points to. All in all, might be the future but for now there is a lot to improve so will uninstall.

Bring back the feature that allows to save images to collections, why'd you remove that feature? You can view but not add, it says in Russian language.

Some problems recently, I believe that they are all linked to Western browsers trying to block anything that might, in any way, have some sort of link to Russia, but using a VPN with an address in Serbia has solved everything. Keep up the great work!

The app interface still displays in Russian only, but there is one feature of it that I found is very useful and the only one that displays in English. The feature is "Caller ID" which can detect and notify (in English) about any call with ads from almost any organization and it even can detect a call from scams too. I was going to reinstall OS on my phone just to get rid of this app (cause it was made unremoveable), but after I experienced the mentioned feature of the app I decided to keep it.

Hmm, you can't turn off data collecting, can't choose language, can't choose appropriate country or region (other than the measly selection hard-coded), language is a useless mix of EN/RU. All in all, sadly not an app that can be recommended. The biggest issue is still the fact that you cannot turn off data collecting, which is a clear no-go. Don't know if this is possible if you're logged in, but that still wouldn't be good enough. Disappointing experience.

I have to say, in terms of functionality the app has many features, some of which is will be useful to a user and most will be not useful. The most painful part of the app is the performance, or I guess lack of performance. I am using an S23+ and it still feels heavy and even manages to drop frames.

I'm a big fan of Yandex. Their products are competitive and necessary to stop a monopoly. I would love to see them work in a friendly cooperation with Google.
