It used to be a good app. After several updates, it has become irritating: 1) Charts icon doesn't show the dates of the currency. Instead it shows 03:00 as a default value for the date. 2) when launching the app, it keeps asking to allow notifications by signing up. This should only be the first time you launch but not everytime. I m uninstalling it

Perhaps the UI still requires some work, however in terms of sending limit, market rate and remittance speed (within 5 days max) Xe easily beats some of its competitors like Transferwise, Xoom and even Moneygram (which is what I had been using before switching over). It's currency conversion rate is the best in the market (so far what I've found). I regularly use it to remit USD to INR. However, it would be very useful if they mention the sending limit somewhere on their website on in the app.

This app used to be free remittance it would just take a few days wait. Now, they charge a fee, takes a while to send the money, but they take your money out as soon as you press send. There was also a time where I did a transaction, waited days, then they canceled and didn't push thru. It's a good thing I'm not sending money for an emergency otherwise you are SOL. Can't wait for my transaction to go thru so I can uninstall this app on my phone. It's slow and errors out from time to time too.

I have used this app for a couple years and always loved it for doing currency conversion. However I am un installing it now, I do not like the permanent offer to transfer money that is always there, when I only want to convert. Also the lack of a dark theme is a negative. Overall, I liked the old UI better. I'm trying another currency converter app now

I no longer recommend Xe. I took two stars off because they haven't met the terms of their contract to move money, and another two stars off for their inability to communicate. I used Xe from 2009-2013 with no problems, but I've had nothing but delays trying to use it again this month to pay rent. I made two transfers. The second transfer appears to have been processed but the first one is still "pending" payment even though Xe withdrew the money from my bank account 4 days ago. I spoke to Xe once and chatted online with them twice, but the money has still not been sent to my landlord. It is very difficult to contact Xe because the "Message Us" button has disappeared, and even though they "have teams across the globe", all of those offices are now closed. I also have no idea when their offices will be open because that info is nowhere to be found in their Help Centre. Since it seems they really do not want to communicate I have decided not to trust them with anymore of my business. I had planned on using Xe to transfer another 4800 EUR and then approximately 3K a month after that, but I have been forced to find more reliable options. I see now why so many of my colleagues stationed here use a different money transfer service.

Please, how can you let something like this out to the public. I enter an US dollar amount, then take the equivalent in another current and use the calculator to work out 20%, 0.2 then I get a number that is completely wrong. What's going on! Apart from that UI is awful, the old version was way better. Put the old version back, find some new UI people and make it better!

Starts slowly, UI looks awful, ads got added with no way to disable, exiting the app takes several swipes back. The old version was my default currency exchange app, was a pro user, now you made it annoying with the pop-up nagging to use the new (this) one. There goes the start, look at, exit experience. Switching to a different app. :(

Installed 5.0.3 and it is working with no problems on my android phone. Some little changes in operation, but nothing significant. All working like before, back to normal. Thank you.. This was my previous post: Updated, now have 5.0.2 installed. Just crashes and sometimes blank screen. Reinstalled, cleared data and cache. Nothing helps, Going to uninstall and look for another app.

Been using the widget for a while to monitor an FX rate, and no problem. I used to have a bank relationship that gave me great pricing & speed, so I've never had to use Xe. But a few days ago, for technical reasons, I had to find an alternative way to transfer funds, and was pleasantly surprised to find Xe to be most competitive with their rates. What's more, the funds were transferred to the receiving bank in a couple hours and I was notified each step in real time! Absolutely love it!!!

Impressed how the developer took my feedback and rectified the issue very quickly. Have tested the app out offline, and it is now working without connectivity again. Thanks for the quick action. As a frequent traveller, I used to love this app. I could quickly check exchange rates, etc, no matter where I was. Now it requires Internet to even load, making it useless in many situations. Will have to strat looking for another currency exchange app that can also be used offline!

SCAM! When I processed the transaction, it said my receiver would get it by Dec 29 (approx 2 weeks). Seemed like a long time, but fine, it was needed by the end of the year. Jan 3, they tell me the verification took longer than expected and they couldn't honor the rates so the transaction would have to be canceled and reprocessed at the current rate!

Update does not impress. I agree with most critical comments, so not repeating here. A convenient tool I use was the exchange rate analysis tool, where I put selling and buying currency amounts & your tool provided a comparison to mid rate or mid rate with a selected % variance. It is a tool that gave xe a purpose, a differentiator. I can't find it now, the app is less intuitive, thank you for fixing the ads over selection buttons at bottom of page, but now you maybe just another bloatware.

Looks better, but I don't like the new update functionality. The graphs are not up to date and to get the precious metals quotes you have to actually click on it instead of it being there automatically. How do I revert back?🙄 Update: now 🙂👍 after the most recent update, the graphs seem to be fixed and current. So I'm giving back the stars. Thanks for fixing them finally

This update is a "downgrade". I convert money on a regular basis (at least 1x every month). My 3 problems: 1) Where is the Market Analysis?!?! That news provides lots of useful info. 2) The time frame for the charts is no longer "sticky"; it always reverts back to 1 month. 3) When I click on the widget (Galaxy S9+), it always goes to app options 1st, instead of straight to app, like b4. Fix those to get 5 stars!

I have the used the app for over 10 years because the UI was clean, precise and well thought out. Not sure what the thinking is behind the new update but it's frustrating. For example, transitioning between currency lists and chart view is broken. If I'm in chart view, I can only go back to currency view if I exit the app and open it again.

I've used this app for the last 5 years while I spent a lot of time traveling. I loved that I could easily convert offline wherever I was. The app no longer works offline. Occasionally, if it updated rates recently, it will work offline, but most of the time it requires a connection. This defeats the point of using the app for me, and I am deleting it. I'll just create an offline conversion spreadsheet for future travels.

Used to work great, but in the last one year it's pretty bad! Frequently freezes when opening. The charts tab scales badly and it's impossible to go back to the Convert-tab! It has been like this for a very long time now, can't you fix it??? Oh, and then it's the fact that there absolutely no improvements being made, these flaws have been there for some tine now!

I like it and used it as my main app for this purpose, but in a recent update I can't change the time intervals for charts. When I press for a chart, time interval choices momentarily fash before the chart, but far too fast to be able to select different ones. Perhaps there is a way, but it wasn't intuitive to me, whereas it was obvious and simpler in the earlier version. I doubt this is related to my phone -Android S Note 20 Ultra.

Downgraded my prior rating because the new forced upgrade sucks. Totally missing is the screen that let you input the amount exchanged and then showed the cost of the exchange. The new UX/UI is horribly plain, something one would expect from a sophomore computer science student. It's unfathomable why companies take something simple and intuitive and think loading it with useless items is somehow new and improved. As is said, if it isn't broken, don't fix it.

This was a 5-star app that I used almost daily and loved for about 10 years. Someone decided to monetize it, and use it to send money internationally.. They've been f-ing it up now for several months and it's gotten slower and slower to use. The converter is completely locked-out now and totally useless. Stuck in send $$ mode. Sorry, but it's time to move on. I wouldn't trust them to send a nickle, and will stick w/ R.I.A. thanks... bye.
