A really cool emulator. This thing is so easy to use and so convenient because of the customizable controls and quicksave feature. I've only had one pc growing up, so I never really experienced Half-Life. Now, thanks to this, I've experienced a joy I will never forget.

Runs the game perfectly, but if you plan on playing with any sort of controller, which let's be honest the touch controls are kinda wack, then good luck. This game has unplayable controller issues, my own PS4 controller would constantly turn and move to the left. The controller works fine, I checked

It is great! Have had only some inevitable problems, looks and plays kind of like the original game. Something I would like to see is compatability with mouse and keyboard, so I can play it like the original, my phone is compatable and the original game on steam is so I would like that.

Plays perfectly with all the customization you could ever need. Controls could be a bit awkward at first, but fiddle around with the options for a bit and it's just smooth sailing from there. So glad I came across this, and I'm quite honestly surprised it doesn't cost a cent. Truly impressive.

Honestly I'm amazed at how well this engine has been ported. Running the original Half Life at 100fps on a smartphone is mind blowing to me, technology has come sooooo far. The button layout isn't ideal by default but can be edited to suit any preference. Once you find your ideal settings it's not far off the experience you get on a PC.

It's an awesome experience bringing Half-life on my pocket, and playing in my spare time. I always love to play FPS on touch screens, most than in physical controllers, and HL was among the best FPS of all times. The port was very well made, the touch commands are tight, the game runs smooth. I recommend it.

Very good engine, runs well, and even allows for TFC, but my only complaint is that when I start a new game on half life, it doesn't load the mobile controls. I have no idea how to fix it, but it makes it so I cannot play at all, and get stuck on the tram ride just staring off into the distance while it reaches the platform.

Maybe? This emulator is great. I love how you can play games such as Half Life, Team Fortress Classic and much more! Only the problem is the bugs. I tried to play Half Life one time. On the console I saw "found walker1, but can't play!" "found walker2, but can't play!" "found walker1, but can't play!" Once again. I have encountered this bug many times. Please fix this.

I was really enjoying playing HL1 on my android device, but keep getting unexplainable crashes. Full crash at Blast Pit on HL1, multiple crashes in Blue Shift. Have tried various versions of game data, didn't solve. Engine logs show nothing useful. Had to uninstall as unusable. Overall, needs an update for stability and UI needs simplifying. Also needs a dedicated gamepad mapper, the in-game control mapping just doesn't cut it as it wasn't intended for this purpose.

Controller compatibility seems to be completely broken but the game works perfectly with touch controls. I tried using a dualsense controller and sometimes it would skip options when using the dpad, and other times it would just scroll down menus infinitely even if I'm not pressing anything. I have also confirmed this isn't a stick drift issue though it may be a good idea to implement deadzone configuration.

I can play half life and cs 1.6 at a high resolution with 60fps. Multiplayer is also active for both games. The only problem is sometimes I get disconnected from servers automatically. It can be annoying when I'm having a fun game. Other than that it's a brilliant app. Would love to see something like this for source engine games. Hope you stay active devs because your work is amazing.

very good, there are a few problems tho. it crashes mid game sometimes for no apparent reason. also the deathmatch mode has a lot of hackers. I'm not sure if the developer is also running the servers but this should be fixed. they just join and do impulse 101 all the time. also when creating a server, even if you set the server players limit to 2, it gets set to 8 and I have to do maxplayers 2 all the time then restart the server

Provides a pretty faithful recreation of HL1, because it IS HL1. But if you have a computer nearby, play it in PC. The experience is much better. Controls in Xash are a little wonky and could use improvement, and some game elements outright don't work. This mobile port is really buggy and not compatible with every phone. But, hey, it's free! So if you somehow have a copy of Half Life on your phone, feel free to try it out!

It runs really well. The touchscreen controls and level of customisation is probably the best you could hope for. That being said, the game would be much better suited to a gamepad. Which begs the question, why isn't it properly optimised for use with one? Tried using one and all I could do was walk and nothing else. Please add gamepad support as it would bring this to a 5* experience.

The best port of all time, runs smoothly on best settings. Saddly the controls were the only problem for me, but after configuring them for my gamepad I went to test them on hazard course but got stuck with getting the tram controls working, when I press the use/interact button I binded it doesn't allow me to take control of the tram, the speed bars incon pops and it makes the usual tram switching on sound but doesn't go into tram control mode. And I even tried that with touch controls only for same problem to happen. It unfortunately I couldn't find any work around so it seems like I won't get past on the rail chapter.

I honestly never thought I'd be playing Half-Life on my phone with such a degree of smoothness. A constant FPS, no drops, no random lagspikes, nothing! I dare say it ran smoother than my old PC haha. Although, I'm having a bit of a few problems with Opposing Force. Some crucial NPCs do not spawn, none of the OP4 weapons are available to use (only default HL1 ones), and I can't get through the game's initial plane sequence because the 2nd plane never gets destroyed.

This is an amazing system and it would be an amazing way to play half life however it doesn't seem to register all the inputs a controller makes as inputs ie second analog stick and triggers, making it neerly impossible to play with a gamepad as well you can't map 2 actions such as reload and activate to the same key meaning there are way more actions than possible inputs. I don't know if it's a problem with this app or halflife but these files work fine on my PC so I must assume it's this app

Good source port, but mapping controls for a gamepad is inexcusably crappy and difficult, it's way too sensitive and you can't even map the B button to anything because it always goes back. Now I've broken the touch controls somehow so I can no longer look. If this was overhauled to where you can configure the controls without going ingame or something I'd be much less harsh about my thoughts on this. In short, this is a terrific port crippled by poorly-implemented gamepad support.

When it works, it's great. I was able to run a Counter Strike Mod perfectly fine by setting the path to the file. The problem lies in trying to use the app for its intended purpose, to play Half Life. I recently reinstalled the game on steam, and set the path into an xash folder I created in my sdcard directory with valve inside. The game loads the menu fine, meaning the path is correct, but upon starting a New Game on medium difficulty I run into a problem. As the files get "compiled" or "read", I get an Xash Error "There is something wrong with your game data! Please, reinstall." I dont know whether its xash not recognizing certain files, or Steam's update, but its preventing me from using this application.

This is a near-perfect port of Half-Life's engine, but buggy setup for game controllers takes away one point. When attempting to set up my Steelseries Duo (which works perfectly in everything else) I can't assign axes, or most buttons. This is not a problem with, say, any of the Beloko apps, or anything on GearVR. Only Xash shows this issue for me. And the game really demands a controller, no matter how nice the touch-controls may be. Until this is resolved, I can't give it a top rating!
