Had previously recommended this as the best twitter/x downloader. However, since it's latest update it is now garbage. Can't download anything and the app set up is atrocious. No longer user-friendly at all. Will give a month or so to check in again and see if it's changed, if not it's being uninstalled. Very, very disappointing changes here, considering how easy it was to use before.

Used to work fantastically and download the videos without issues. Super fast and nice... still has hiccups every now and again but fixed their previous problem. If it runs into another issue it does take them a long time to fix though. .

Was a higher rating initially. This app was perfect for a couple of years now. Now I get "no media found" message no matter which video I try to DL. Would have given only 1 star if not for the fact it worked great for a couple of years. Guess it's time to move on.

Login no longer functions just leaves you stranded on your Twitter page still can't download even if you log in tried deleting and re-downloading didn't fix

The number of ads kind of pushes you to pay for the ad free version. Edit: The app stopped working after Twitter started requiring logging in to view tweets and media.

This app used to be good. But now, its only function is not working as intended, and if it is a new feature, then they also don't explain how it works! When this app fixes the issue, I'll happily give it a better review. But as for now, don't download this app.

I have used this app for ages and i would give it 5 stars but ever since the last update (Android) everything I try downloading/redownload it says "media not found". It's a shame because the app was great and worked perfectly but not anymore sadly.

Update 7/13/2024 - It's still not working. It used to work well (except for the tons of ads), but it no longer works. When attempting to download a video, It continually takes you back to logging on to X and you can never download the video

I don't have anything negative to say about the app generally-speaking, but on a personal-note I was looking for an app that would allow me to download gifs from Twitter & that's precisely what this app allows me to do. There are ads that play after each download (Which I guess I can say is the only complaint I have, but that's pretty much the norm regarding apps these days, so I'm used to it). You also get options based on the quality of the gif you want to download. Higher uses more storage.

I've had this app for a long a** time, feels like forever; I switched to this after a different twitter downloader died. When Musk took over and messed things up, this app did not work for a bit, but ended up catching up and working fine. Solid app. Only complaint I have is that since the Twitter update of allowing 4 gifs/4 vids in the same single post, the downloader only recognizes the first gif/video in the post.

I love this downloader for Twitter! It's easy to use and takes a few seconds and video is ready to share. I am not good figuring out difficult steps to get an App to work so I am pleased this App only requires a few steps. Presto, after downloading..I can share the video anywhere, Messaging/email or any of the other options. I have been using the App for at least a year. The ads last for a quick 20 seconds, not annoying for a minute or more.

This is the first app of this type I have tried, but it seems to work well. The only negatives are the overall number of full screen ads, one per download (mostly for the same one for aproduct I am not interested in ) and the extra step to download. I would have expected to ask if I wanted to buy an ad free version by now, but I will probably try another app or two first.

Perfect. Works every time. Can't ask for a better downloader. Yes there are ads, but this app delivers a premium quality service: fast downloads, choice of video quality, and its completely free... not to mention all the ads are usually only 5 seconds. Like 3 blinks long lmao. they deserve to make some money from ads. how would they make it otherwise? I dont expect anyone to work for free. I would pay for this app if it wasnt free. thanks for the great app, devs and everyone else involved :^)

Theirs a new bug (I assume it's Twitter/X's fault) but if have the latest versions of both apps you get an error saying "video/media not found" when trying to share a video to Twdown. but if you copy and paste the video link to Twdown it will download. But you can't pick the video quality. I hope this gets fixed, I LOVE this app you guys aren't super overbearing with ads and you are usually quick to respond when theirs a problem.

It consistently works very well. When you find a media item on Twitter that you want to download, simply share via TwDown. It will give you a menu of all available quality levels, as well as an audio only option where applicable. It will show you the download progress in the app and, if you switch apps, continue to download in the background. It looks very simple on the surface and never crashes. This app has enhanced my life, and saved me from frustration at using other methods.

works perfectly. as far as I know, this is the only way to save videos people post on twitter. when you hit download, it opens a save page in a new browser, but then Twitter refreshes the page. so if you're on somebody's media section, with all pics and videos, it resets and you go back to the beginning and that is really annoying, but that is a Twitter error, not this app. this only shows ads while you're downloading. recommended!

I like to download videos of my gameplay, and sometimes the quality is pretty bad when I record it. However, this app somehow IMPROVES the quality when I download with it, which is something other apps sometimes lack. Overall, it's reliable and you only get a couple of ads. (I usually only get two, one before the download and one after.) Would definitely recommend.
