Extremely disappointed. Switched from Blink because we were having detection issues. Wyze worked great while we had the month trial. Now that we PAY for Plus, because we got no notifications without paying, we have constant detection issues with doorbell. Back camera goes nuts and will bind itself to random locations. Doorbell will detect leaves and headlights at night but not people coming to our door or pulling in the drive. I've written multiple logs, factory reset and still having same issue

So now my camera won't even connect says offline been on hold 1.5hrs trying to talk to someone this is trash. Nothing but problems with this, don't get notifications sometimes. Get stuck recording videos and say they are 5mins long when done, and when you watch it, it's only 43 seconds long. Lose my subscription here and there, then it will only take a pic every 5 mins saying sign up for a sub that I already have. Makes you reset everything. Do not recommend, will be finding something else.

The cameras work great and you get a lot of bang for your buck. However, I wish I could have more control of the notifications I get. I currently get notifications from two locations (separate camera systems) but I'm not interested in getting constant notifications from one location and I can't manage them. My set up uses the base station and it is a pain to switch wifi networks or use them with a hotspot... It requires access to a router, even if it you are only switching wifi networks

I've had the wyze cam 2 for years using an SD card which has worked great! Video recordings were always good! March 2024 I get a wyze pan cam with better range of motion, I get it all set up using an SD card for recordings, then my wyze 2 camera starts having playback issues, now I get distorted videos, color blotches, sound is loud static, Thanks for the reply but I've decided to go with a different camera.

Used to love this camera and app. Now not so much. I have all my settings the same. Now no longer getting notifications of motion. It's why I got the camera and it's not doing it's main function. No longer recording motion either. Very disappointed. Support isn't helpful either. Not telling me how to fix it. Just repeating what I've already googled and tried.

The cameras record in small time slices. It's very difficult to view what happened because every 12 - 30 seconds is another clip. The continuity is broken up. I pay for the Cam Plus cloud storage, so I am supposed to get longer recording times. I only have 2 cameras, so it's not cost efficient for me to buy the unlimited package.

It's decent when it wants to work. Sometimes if I try to turn the camera a little it will turn it all the way and keep it there until I close out the app. Sometimes the camera doesn't pick up motion or sound even if they are both set to the MAX and then I run and yell past the camera. Also sometimes it'll just disconnect cause it can I guess. Just sucks when I'm away from home and can't fix the camera until I get back home which is pointless. So again decent when it works.

It's ok, not intuitive and quiet a few bugs but none are killer. Their devices mostly are quite cheap, in price and quality. I have Blink and Wyze products and Wyze is by far the more problematic. I would never buy any subscription services from Wyze because their quality is just not good enough. If you want to shell out a bit more buy something else. April 2024 update: Now they have disabled stored clips. All I see now is a picture of the motion event. I stopped using this POS.

Good app and cameras are good as well. It's not a perfect system. It has its bugs. sometimes, the SD card doesn't want to read, and you have to reset the camera and go through and troubleshoot it. it does lag on playback, but that could also just be cause my internet isn't the best. also, I'm not entirely sure if they released new cameras for the 5ghz or not, but you need to use the 2.4ghz connections for them to work.

It works fine but I give it a 3 start because it loses internet connection at least once a month although it is in the same room as my access point. I tried to setup waypoint and now it is disabled in the software as if the rest of the functions needs to be as accessed by scrolling down but doesn't give you the ability. I wanted to get another one but I need to wait if the company will upgrade their firmware or software to fix those issues.

being generous, disappointed in the wyze video doorbell pro. There are too many issues. occasionally, i will get a notification of person approaching, usually not. sometimes videos load automatically when i go to review events, but not always. sometimes, I have to stop and restart the app. I do not recommend it. did contact support once, due to no audible alerts to people approaching. afterward, only occasional alerts. then the issues with video began. they want you to send a report. I'm done.

Editing my previous review from 2-stars to 3-stars. In my previous review I learned that there was a temporary service interruption until it started working again. Otherwise it works, but I notice that the motion detector misses about 25% of motions that should be saved to video and at times the videos have "failed to upload" errors that will only show a picture instead. I hope that this is something that can be repaired soon. Also a suggestion is to add a record button in the camera group.

Update: now another year has passed and I hate the Android wyze app even more! It is still full of bugs and glitches. Why can't you test your app? Update: nearly two years after my original review, the android version is still totally brain dead! So many bugs, not enough words to put down here. Android version of the app is very unreliable and fails to connect to cameras whereas iOS version of the app connects in seconds. Many other polish and functionality issues on Android app as well.

wyze has produced a decent wide range application for the spectrum of Wyze devices. it lacks customizable layouts and rotation of display. It also requires an abundance of updates to maintain the security and functionality for both the software and the firmware. At best, the notifications are almost meeting the user settings and expectations. At worst, important events are completely missed and fail to record for cameras. I really like the devices, but the app needs improvements.

Edit: I found it easier to uninstall it and sell the wyze thermostat and reinstall my old one. So sad. How these companies rip people off with their dodgy products. We were so excited to have a new thermostat. That ended quick. Installing it was fairly simple. Download the app. Create settings schedule. Then any time you try to adjust temperature via the app it never stays where you want it. When you set hold it doesn't stay. Eventually I have to get up to adjust it at thermostat. Big boo.

Very glitchy... Recently purchased a third camera (V3) to capture time lapse videos to an SD Card and it is a complete train wreck. Cancels recordings, never shows up in the albums... And the only thing the Wizards say is to confirm the app permissions for my photos is set. It seems like the more I dug I to it, a lot of folks are having the same problem.

I have been very pleased with Wyze cam products and services...until now. As a rule, I will cancel my subscription to an app as way to prevent recurring billing. That works fine for me on all apps...except this one. Be warned, if you cancel your subscription, it ends immediately and you get no refund. Wyze was my new favorite camera, and I intended to upgrade my subscription, but our relationship is about to end.

Constant bugs. Every time there is an update, the settings get jacked up and the notifications stop working or change sounds. Very annoying. I've reached out several times, and they just want me to keep deleting my account and making a new one, reinstalling several times, but nothing works other than installing an old version, but then that gets automatically updated, and back to the sounds not working correctly again.

Overall, camera and app work. What's interesting is how when I don't have a subscription all of a sudden the software can't tell the difference between wind in trees and actual animal/human movement. Before subscription, I constantly got notifications of movement and it was just wind moving trees or shadows in the camera's field of view. it also very seldom picked up the people/deer in the field of view. With subscription, the perception was nearly perfect. after expiration? back to trash

The detection algorithm has a threshold, but there is no tool or even explanation how to set it. Wild guess is the only way to set it, and then you wait and see if it is working. If it doesn't, then - another wild guess, loop back, etc. Usually people display the thresholded image, and then you can see what it does. Hey Wyze, try that, it works. Another problem: the detection window is often ignored, and the entire image is used for detection, causing false positives
