I can't stand the layout of this new app! It takes away the simplicity of a mobile app. If I wanted full fledged, time consuming online banking, I'd get on my laptop. Conducting simple transactions takes much longer than with the legacy app. The only positive feature is it finally shows pending deposits. I've been hoping for that for years.

Does not look user friendly. I still have the old app, which I felt was super easy to navigate, and felt much more private. The new app has the monetary amounts in large print, and it took me a while to figure out which account was which. I also just really liked the look of the old app better. I'll say that I do like the addition of the biometric scan, as that does feel a lot more secure, but it also looks like transferring funds is going to be a nightmare...

I had to deposit a check but was afraid to go to an ATM to do it during coronavirus lockout period. Reviews of this app were bad. But I had no alternative. I was going to download the legacy edition because the rating was a little better, but it did not have a download button. So I chose the new edition. It went reasonably well except it said the amount did not match. I retook a picture and it was done successfully. It was rather smooth.

While there is increased functionality over the last version, the loss of key functionality and overall quality makes it a loss. As someone who doesn't live in WA, I rely heavily on mobile deposit. This function is now garbage. The camera function provides guidelines for the check that are not realistic for standard sized checks. The picture is blurry, and tapping on the screen doesn't focus the image. I'll give back fingerprint sign on if I can deposit my money again.

Works. Had a choice to use text or email. Now I'm stuck with email and it really wasn't my choice to verify that method. The hamburger menu is how you navigate functions....even if you're on accounts. For some reason, that's all it does. Displays the numbers. Burger menu to transfer and then you can actually do stuff. Old idea. Works. Not efficient.

1-minute time limit? As quickly as possible, I go to Transfer funds, pick the accounts and amount and before I can hit the transfer button on the last page, it kicks me out and tells me my secured connection has timed out. Pretty annoying. Did it when I was trying to get into my security settings, too. Good app, otherwise when I actually can use it. Better than the old one, for sure. Please fix this.

Nothing but problems. This app is not favorable to the old one and since the did a big update to online systems,.I haven't been able to use my finger print and today it won't log in at all. Nothing is up to date. The way it take pics of check is just weird. It squishes them ans makes it nearly impossible to read. Making depositing them very very difficult. My phone is not even a year old.

New review. Some of the old issues have been fixed. Navigation is still a bit mysterious, with some required interactions like the deposit destination being fine grey text on a white background. It ignores my system wide Dark theme. The launch screen is the slowest of any of my banking apps. The menu is all a long reach to the upper left. And annoyingly now the mobile deposit always turns on the camera flash even when not necessary.

I updated the app and it still is frozen on the main page. I log in and then cannot engage. I know there is possibility for user error, but I never had such challenges with the old app and this is becoming increasingly frustrating :/ 1. Log In 2. Home screen, but app won't allow interaction 3. Close all apps, restart phone. Same issue 4. Updated app. Still won't all me to engage.

This app is useless for me. I successfully used it a year ago to deposit checks but have not been able to do so since last summer. The app freezes as soon as I log in. I can't scroll or open anything or open the sidebar to navigate anywhere else. I have uninstalled and reinstalled many times over the months in hopes that things have improved. This is frustrating as I currently live 3 hours away from a branch and over 1 hour from the nearest shared branching cu in a town I rarely visit.

Freezes. As soon as I open the app, get through the credentials page, and the home page opens, that's it. That's all I get. I can see my accounts but can't open them, can't even scroll. It's not my phone, no other app does this. I've tried deleting and re downloading the app multiple times, no dice. Very frustrating.

Deposits no longer work. Taking a photo of the check on my phone, my camera focuses on it clearly then I snap the photo. But then the app loads it and blurs the photo. The app also freezes when trying to do the photos for deposit. I've been depositing checks through this app for years now and this is a first.The old app worked much much better. I'm giving it 3 stars only because I love WSECU a lot. You all do great work, this app however should really only be 1 star in it's current state.

Slow and glitchy! Everything takes a long time to load, especially when switching between accounts/tasks. Mobile deposit takes FOR-EVER because it gets stuck in a picture taking loop then logs you out halfway through so you have to start over. Then when it finally lets you progress past taking pictures, it won't recognize the signature on the back. Mobile deposits take so long that it would almost be faster to drive to the bank. Ridiculous.

I like the old app better. Theres no option to save log in info. Its difficult to log on because you have to push next to move to the user name to the password, and you cant go back if you make a mistake. I have to completely close and reopen the app if I make a mistake. When I'm in the app it freezes and I cant even click on my accounts.

I know we're just rolling this out and there will be kinks, but some more testing could've been beneficial before cancelling the old app which worked pretty well. Mine won't even open today, otherwise it's fairly slow in loading most things and the interface was a little cleaner and more user friendly in the old app. Also this white background is literally an eyesore. Hopefully it gets better here soon.

Had to download this app because the older one errors out now. This new app won't even load. I've tried all yesterday and today. When you tap to open the app, it slowly starts to load, the W S E C U letters scroll/spell out from left to right then it hangs for 7-8 seconds then gives you an Error Pop up asking you to try again later or call. Update..I've already uninstalled it...still doesn't load properly. Terrible useless app. Waste of time. Don't download it!!!

This app (and credit union) used to be great, but the 5/9/22 changes to bill pay are HORRIBLE and I feel like I've been plunged into the stone age! Almost all of my bills (that used to be paid electronically via WSECU) are now being sent via conventional check in the mail. The list of everything wrong and inconvenient about this is loooooong so I'll just say it totally sucks and I'll probably end up leaving WSECU so I can find a better, more modern bill pay option (like WSECU used to offer).

Didn't like it. 1. Every time I went to my Checking or other item (VISA, etc) and opened something up in them, then wanted to close the pop-up it kicked me completely out of that item, back to the intro/COVID19 page. 2. I'd requested several times over the last couple years for a "Pending Transactions" listing for each item, especially the Checking item and STILL with this new one...nothing on that. I uninstalled this new one and went back to the previous one I'd thankfully did not delete.

Most of the app is fine and easy to work, but the deposit is the worst I've ever seen. It never seems to be able to read a photo. The old apps photo had no issues. And yes I have the updated app and yes my OS is up to date. The deposit part has been horrible from the start but today it won't work at all. And now I get to drive all the way into town just to deposit a check.

The app is decent, average, for the most part. Definitely needs dark mode and could use a more aesthetic UI. The biggest issue imo is the mobile deposit. It's a crapshoot on whether it will work or not. It seems to be in a constant state of updates, unavailable, or flat out not working. Very poor in this regard and a financial liability if you rely on working financial tech in this era of banking. That being said, WSECU is one of the better alternatives to the big 3 of banking.
