There are so many problems with this app, far after bfa has matured as an expansion: - World quests don't accurately reflect scaling, initial load time is atrocious (and sometimes even fails, which I attribute to maybe a timeout) - Swapping characters often results in 'Unable to Connect' (which I also assume is a timeout issue) - Hiring/accepting new followers to replace the dead ones sometimes hangs on pending the interaction - Finished quests will sometimes hang when accepting the result All of these issues have been present on both home wifi and Verizon's network (4g with full reception). This seems like a potential issue with high volume of calls made to whatever underlying API(s) are used, be it authentication or character data. I obviously can't confirm since I didn't build it... It's 2018, where VM architecture is to the point where you can rapidly spin up/down a load-balanced environment rapidly with Docker, Openstack, AWS, and God knows how many other virtualization utilities in order to scale on the fly... The tools are there Blizzard, and some don't even cost a thing to integrate... Please use them.

It is an okay, just okay, companion app...that got rid of armory, and auction house, and for a time removed all old content that is still relevant, yet put back in only legion and bfa excluding the very time consuming wod garrison and shipyard - it's super unhelpful to have to log in on a computer, when im not able to because of work, every hour or so just for the boa ring. I would certainly go for many other things in wod garrison but without the app, I don't care to do Any amount of wow.

I do not necessarily dislike the app, but I feel it doesn't serve a huge purpose. It only works on wifi, which really limits the mobility of the app(usually, the point of apps). As others have pointed out, the app (quite a while ago) would let you participate in the auction house. Now, it is only for the mission table. So, as long as you only need to focus on the mission table, it's a great app for those who are at home and too lazy to go to their computer or people using wifi & not data.

It has the potential to be a cool app but eh. I guess the auction house function isn't completely worthless but even that is very much lacking without the ability to see your inventory and use your mail and whatnot. I can think of dozens of other things this app could be used for but I guess there isn't any motivation to do much with it unfortunately :/ Will likely uninstall. Wish Blizzard would give us something nice to run on our phones for wow

App is painfully slow. Sometimes in app buttons are unresponsive but the back button on my phone works immediately. Back button doesn't close the app. Can't view guild join requests. Doesn't allow you to take care of your Garrison and followers. Has a map function, but what for? Shows what appear to be only a few unimportant zones with no locations marked. If I recall correctly, this app used to allow you to check your mail and use the auction house. What happened to that?

When it works it's a great addition to keep your followers on missions. Problem is, it randomly decides to start going into a login loop where you login, and then select your character only to have it take you back to the login. Completely worthless when it does this. Seriously blizz, this is a long standing bug. It really needs to be fixed. Just some more of winning with Activision.

I like the app - when it works. I keep getting randomly logged off while playing. I spend more time being kicked out and logging in than I do playing. Very rarely I can get through assigning quests without getting kicked off. Sometimes when setting up a party for a quest, the success percentage starts showing the 'loading' arrow and will get stuck on it despite logging off and restarting the app. This can stay that way for hours. Please, fix this. Otherwise it's a 5 star app.

I've given this app a fair chance. But after trying to use it for over a week, not once did it work properly, or at all. I'm on a S9, so I know it's not my phone. Most of the time I can't connect, and if I can, it acts like my characters have no missions active, or none available when they definitely do. The app is empty, like half of the coding is missing. All this app is good for is looking at a STILL image of your character, if you can connect.

Would be great if the app worked but I can't ever get past the select character screen, just like lots of other reviews. UPDATE: This has been fixed for a few weeks now. The app is decent but the UX could be better. The mission success screen is really slow. It's also a pain to switch between characters. It would be nice to be able to use this for Legion/WoD content too.

Great improvement has been made. Switching characters is faster and smoother. You can switch between legion and bfa missions. Connection issues don't seem to be a problem anymore. When I navigate away from the app, it now automatically (and successfully) relogs in. (I had constant and severe connection issues in the past). This is far better than when I last used it a year-ish ago. Biggest complaint is we still want the auction house.

Unusable. I've had this app for at least a year, hoping they'd fix it. Out of that year, I've been able to actually log into it ONE time. It has really bad problems with the initial start-up and/or connecting to Blizzard's servers. I'm guessing either file directory paths are all out of whack and/or they may need to delegate more serverside as it may just be getting bogged down with people who are already logged into the app. Just uninstalled, maybe it'll be fixed one day... Maybe not...

This replacement from the Legion companion app is much less enjoyable. The overall quality looks much less professional as well. Toggling between characters is slow and cumbersome, viewing your character is bland with less information than previous app, the UI is very large and ugly imo, and resource info is hidden. Overall, this version seems like a rushed half finished revision from the previous app. I can only assume they are revamping it entirely and just stopped doing updates to this now.

It's not a bad app as long as you have the correct expectations for it: it's meant to run your mission table adventures, and that's it. When I first downloaded the app, I expected more, so I got a bit disappointed. Now, I find myself using it daily to run my missions and it's nice. There are many things to be improved though. Closing the app, even for a second, requires you to slowly relogging. The UI does not feel very smooth. For bfa missions, success percentage dont display correctly.

I've used this app on two phones, a Motorola and a Samsung, and haven't encountered any issues the other reviews talk about. I love the ability to "play" on the go so I don't have to use my computer every time I just want some idle earnings. Only issue is that I don't receive notifications from the app about when missions are complete until I actually open the app which is, at that point, useless. Otherwise good job, works great.

When it works, it does fine and looks pretty good! Its a handy way to clear my missions without having to log in. However it NEVER connects to my cell network. All my other apps will be able to connect to my cell data but WoW Companion can never seem to connect to a 4G connection. I've reinstalled, cleared the cache, cleared the data, and it just WON'T connect to mobile data. I'm only able to use the app at home when I could just play WoW. VERY disappointed in the experience.

Loved the app when it worked. but sadly it doesnt anymore haven't been able to use it since 8.2. I've uninstalled, cleared cache, rebooted, and reinstalled 3 times in varying order and still no good. Stuck at "Downloading" and only 1/3rd of the way through it. closest I've got is 1/2. when it's fixed, blizz needs to bring in pet battles, the wow mini games for world quests, and bring back the auction house.

Using this EXCLUSIVELY for the purpose of checking the Mission Table is fine, but not for the bloat the rest of the app suffers with. Viewing your character is objectively worse than the old WoW Armory, or website. Checking World Quests is insightful, but not very useful overall, especially since you can't view them all as a list simultaneously without the boring map graphic. The lack of an auction house also sucks. Basically you took out or worsened great features for slow, boring ones instead.

A lot of people seem to be complaining about staying logged in but my experience is that I stay logged in but if I leave the app for a while it just has to reload. Sometimes the auto login feature doesnt work so you just try again and it's fine. Good way to see quick news without having to google stuff and if you want to do your companion tables. For my experience I only do one character as switching between characters has a long load time so I kinda gave up on wasting time on alts.

The app quality fluctuates randomly. A few months ago, it was working fine. Now, it crashes constantly. I can't get more than one Mission done before it locks up. After freezing, closing the app, and reopening, I'm stuck with "That Account is already logged on" errors. Finally, you STILL haven't fixed the Notifications to track multiple characters! Most WoW players have more than one toon, multiple character notification should have been implemented from the begining. Why isn't it?

The app used to work at least for BFA and maybe Shadowlands. I haven't used the app in a year or so and can't quite remember what the last expansion was that the app worked corrected. The app starts, shows a splash image, and shows the top and bottom borders. Then does nothing at all. I un-installed and then re-installed it. Same result :/
