The worst. Sometimes the money gets there within the hour. Other (at random) times they ask for document after document including ones I've already submitted. Currently in a five-day delay and they won't let me cancel in order to send by a reliable service. Reading all these reviews it seems they're playing the float -- holding up transfers to collect the interest. Don't reply "let's chat" without a name and phone number.

Easy set up, but I didn't see where to enter promo code for 3 free transfers. Charged me full price, (about three times Wal-Mart to World) Later I went back and tried to enter promo code. Sounds like since I didn't use it on first one I won't get it on next two transactions either. Good for emergencies but I send regular. Too expensive for that. ------- OK here is an update. It was a somewhat rocky start. For some reason I don't know the fees have dropped dramatically. Using app more.

My first time using it was successful. I had to verify my ID but that was a smooth process and was approved quickly. There was an account error on my receiver's end, so I had to resend using the bank pickup option instead, but any questions I had the help chat was quick and supportive, and my money was returned after the first glitch (which I wasn't expecting). The second time since everything was already set up and verified, it was ready for pickup literally 30 seconds after pushing send.

The only hiccup I've experienced transferring money to friends with this app is the delay caused by my bank almost every time. But the delay is for my own security, so I just respond to my bank's texts to let them know it was really me sending money, and it's not a scam. When I try it again, I usually have success after the second attempt. There have been two or three times when I think maybe World Remit's servers were down, so it was a lot longer before I could send money. Overall, WR is great!

They offer you an exchange rate, and then when you start the process, the rate drops to a lower value. That is an integrity issue. They used to be transparent with rates and any applicable fees, but now sketchy. I use this app alot, but currently searching for a more reliable app with Rate transparency when paying into an account.

I used to love using World Remit to be able to send money back home because it would go through quickly & it would be easy. However, recently, I've been running into more issues & have had to use other money transfer services due to "payment cannot be processed at this time" or "something went wrong" even though I have the latest update, i reset the app, double check all my information, clear the app's cache, everything! Can't even get ahold of customer service! I've been using them for YEARS!👎

It has worked well. However the last transfer I sent debited my account twice, so took the money twice, without my authorization. So now I'm waiting to be refunded or dispute with my bank. Beware that this may happen to you. I'm very disappointed and not sure if I trust the service anymore. it's very hard to get in touch with a real person on the phone to resolve the issue. I tried selecting the callback option and it kept rerouting me back to main menu.... frustrating experience overall.

I have been using this app for a couple of years and I like how its convenient and fast and how my recepients get the money quickly. But with the recent updates they have done to the app, it just became close to horrible and very frustrating. There are times that it would take forever to load the pay screen. Like recently, i have been trying to send money for the past 2 days and it cant get me to the payment screen. Its ridiculous. Also, its impossible to get to customer service. I uninstalled.

It's a convenient app that allows you to send money to your love ones or send to whomever. But it has its down sides as it doesn't allow the user to input their own contact information from their recipient history and you have to take it from your phone's contact list.. annoying. Not to mention when you finish sending the money, their is no way to change the pick up location. Annoying..but it works consistently.

After using smoothy for 22 months, this app has become GARBAGE since 12 days ago. I struggle to open the app (takes 4 to 12 minutes to recognize 4-digit code or fingerprint; takes forever to navigate the screens, etc.). Crashes repeatedly. I have cleared cache, cleared data, uninstalled and reinstalled over 5x, all to no avail. I don't know what the latest update(s) did, but horrible! No, it is not my phone (latest Samsung Galaxy class). It is not my data connection (high speed data). FIX IT!

I initiated a transfer 2 days back, and it's stuck due to a technical error. Tried calling WorldRemit on UK number multiple times, and the wait is at least 40 minutes if you are lucky. Else, they never pick up. There is no web chat or email available. I am going to attempt to cancel the transfer. Update: The transaction was completed on its own. After reading the review on Google Play, I received a phone call to check if I can remove this review. Increasing the rating as the problem is fixed.

Incredibly annoying for a long time. I'm not sure when this started, but it's been this way for at least 6 months. The send money screen just shows a loading icon forever which means I can't use it on my phone. I've tried clearing all data and uninstalling and reinstalling, as well as granting all permissions, but nothing works. Signing in on their website works better, but that defeats the convenience of using an app.

It's been a couple of years since I started using this app and it's Ok. The interface has been upgraded and is now much more intuitive. The more intricate support issues can be problematic particulalry when it's between the bank and WR. I've been left in the middle with no solution. It is the beginning of 2023. It seems that the app's efficiency has reduced with more errors popping up. With all the app upgrades, one feature WorldRemit keeps avoiding to implement is search and report downloads.

When World Remit works it's a great service. But recently I have not been able to send money at all. Uninstalling and reinstalling installing it didn't work. I continue to get error messages saying something went wrong. I talked to an agent in chat and was given instructions on how to email my problem. It has been two days and no reply. I did get a reply to this comment and was asked to contact them directly. But I HAVE done that. Still waiting for help while loved ones go hungry.

Easy to use online and on app. Preferred online best. I recently started using the app only as they don't do online anymore. That was kinda annoying, seeing as my phone doesn't have much memory space, and I had to delete other apps to download this one. Gives great currency prices compared to all other money sending apps. Better than Western Union, Money Gram, Remitly, etc. Gives you options to send to banks, cash picks, mobile wires, etc. Best of all, money gets there within an hour or so!

I used to use this app several times per month and I loved it, but last couple of times there's an error when I try to pay, I spoke to my bank and the error is not on their end, and the worldRemit call center can't give me a solution either, so it's just a dead end and I can't use the app anymore. EDIT: the app started working again randomly after one year and it is as good as always. Will keep using it.

WorldRemit as a money transfer company and app are really super amazing. Way more reliable & user friendly than any other money transfer option, especially for sending money internationally. They support most method of transfer options, payment status on point, fees are fair, transfer speeds are very quick, and ease of use of their app is absolutely excellent. I have been using for several months now without any issues and would highly recommend, way better than any other option!!! 👍

Worldremit has been a crucial tool for the work I have been doing but at least in regards to Kenya it is now unusable. They eliminated all delivery options except mobile wallets and they apparently have indefinitely lost the ability to transfer money to M-Pesa. They refuse to escalate or provide an estimated time of repair so the app is of no use to me and hasnt been for weeks. When it works, it is great but it is certainly not robust or reliable enough for critical applications.

Non instantaneous transfer. The app claims instantaneous transfer but lately my transfer have been getting stuck in setting up stage for hours. Additionally when the app sends you a notification the transfer failed, and you proceed to cancel the transfer the app still completes the transfer days later. Just adds headache on top of headache. The app charges super high transfer fee and you would expect to get what you are promised. It's a shame and I am almost done with the app.

This used to be the best money transfer app. For past 2 weeks completely buggy. Some times it opens with history in tact and can send. Most of the time now I must log in. But then I get msg there are technical problems. Have reinstalled 5 times. Support sucks. Cannot speak to rep without case number. Can't get case number unless you have executed a transaction. Only support available seems to be on FB. Not sure what changes were made in past 2-3 weeks but it is terrible.
