Deceitful, but overall a good game. For the first several levels there are very few ads. That's when they ask for you to post a review. After that, the ads kick into high gear and you have to watch a 30 second ad after every single level. I'm okay with ads but compared to most apps this is excessive. The good news is that after you're thoroughly annoyed they start to advertise that you can remove ads for a fee. The fee is more that even Microsoft charges for ad removal in their games.

I've been playing the game for ages. Recently, the ads have become ridiculous, and many have no way of closing the ad even after watching for 10-30 seconds, and almost every single ad requires you to close it multiple times before it's actually gone. Also, infuriating that if you have to leave the app for any reason and you have a butterfly with a countdown still going, it dissappears, and you won't get that reward. I'm ready to uninstall.

The game is nice. The main disadvantage is that the creators obviously read the 'How to lure the user into buying more stuff 101' handbook, as the game is filled with blinking, spinning and pop-upping stuff trying to convince you to either pay with real money for in-game items, or to watch very long ads. This wouldn't be so bad for the free version, but most of these anti-features remain after paying the (high) 'get rid of adds' fee...

I love this game and have been playing for quite a while. Even the pop up ads didn't bother me too much as you could skip them after a few seconds. Looks like this has been removed recently though. This means you have to sit through the whole ad sometimes 2 back to back after. Every. Single. Game. Bring back the skip option. The game is far too slow and tedious otherwise. Happy to change my review to 5* if this can be changed.

Decent enough app. Pretty much the same as the other word apps out there. I find it relaxing to play at appointment waits, or picking up the kids from school activities. It's a good time killer when you have a little free time on your hands. Starts out extremely easy, progresses slowly, but does progress. So even someone who isn't much on spelling can enjoy this one.

Too Many Ads! I played up to level 50 in a matter of minutes and in that short 5 minutes (at most) I think there were at least 10 ads. Having made it to level 50 so easily it isn't worth the $9.99 or $3.99/week to subscribe or buy it. The game looks nice. But I didn't need any of the green diamonds for hints, so again, not a game I'd purchase and I uninstalled this morning solely due to the ads.

I originally left a 5 start review, mainly because the ads were very bearable and the game was very enjoyable, but then the ads got a lot longer and way more frequent :( Now I get an ad after every level and it takes like 30 seconds to be able to move on and play again. I think this might be intentional, to slowly increase the ads over time. Super disappointed, I was really enjoying the game. I get having some ads, but the amount and frequency was good before then just got intrusive and awful.

It shows way too many ads (one after every puzzle); PLUS has an ever-present ad on screen at the bottom. Another strike: during the butterfly tournament, if the ad runs for too long, you'll lose the butterfly trapped and won't be able to claim it. Another strike is that nothing rolls over, so if the limit is 6 to claim a prize, and you've caught 8, you'll lose the extra 2 that were caught. Nothing adds up, either, you'll receive the minimum instead of the sum.

The application runs well and the features are not limited in the free version. My main issue is the allowed word list. Large numbers of seemingly random abbreviations are allowed and sometimes required to complete a level. The words not allowed are equally random. I can understand not allowing swear words, but the word "darn" is not allowed. Darning is a craft and not just slang. Other inconsistencies with the not allowed list are equally annoying and make gameplay frustrating.

I'm wondering if it gets challenging at some point. I just started playing and am on level 81. I paid to remove ads a few levels ago ... but, I'm regretting it because, so far, the words are elementary level. Definitely not challenging. I'll increase the rating if the game becomes more challenging; otherwise, I'll uninstall the app.

The new update is HORRIBLE!!! I worked very hard to get a lot of blue W coins so I could solve previous months. Now you have to watch ads to access the previous months. The blue coins are now useless making the time collecting them waisted!!! This makes it impossible to fully use this app if you don't have Internet. Furthermore the ads are long, multiple, and hard to dismiss. The wheel is rigged. It never stops on the 100. I've seen it speed up to pass it. The month challenge change is HORRIBLE.

Another one of these games that is completely unplayable with the ads. Not only are they every single puzzle, but I have to completely exit out of the app to get out of them, even if I watch them all the way through. Don't give me that nonsense about ads making it possible for free version of games like this; I am fine with having a couple ads for free games. But to make a game unplayable? Ridiculous.

Addictive, but total ad revenue scam even after you buy it. There's constantly options for micro-purchases. Also there's a wheel you can spin where if you watch an ad you're supposed to get free stuff, but it always seems to land on the option to buy stuff or the lightning bolt which gives you nothing...or always the lowest possible payout of "gems". It's really the "we're desperate for ad $$ wheel". Just a cheap annoying experience for a $10 app.

There are way too many repetitive ads. Also, when I spin the wheel after 6 times and watch an ad after each spin, I get a lightning bolt 5 out of 6 times. Seems to be fixed, so there's no way to receive extra coins. I thought about purchasing this game, but after reading reviews about ads still showing up, I think I'll pass and look for a similar game.

Bait and Switch. The game has where you can pay a few dollars for Ad free play. However unlike other games it isn't truly ad free. if you want to spin the wheel you have to watch an ad. It's a scam. All it removes is the ads between levels. So think twice before spending the money on ad free. Can you opt not to spin the wheel? Yes you can. However you shouldn't have to watch a 30 second ad to do it.

Sponsored ads are what put food on game makers' table, and I don't begrudge them that. But when ads are 30-60 seconds long with more ads tacked into that, and when an X doesn't close the ad, just takes you to the game it's advertising, and when they hit every 2-3 rounds, it's not worth playing. Paying 10 bucks to buy the game is excessive. The gameplay here is really nice, but not worth the ads. Update in response to developer: It's not specific ads, it's ALL ads . The structure is baked in.

I play this game a lot and enjoy it for the mostly mindless but somewhat brain engaging wordplay. What I can't stand is the constant ads. The games are quick and there's an ad between every one. Sometimes the ads are short or they can be excused immediately, but often they are a minute or more and very repetitive. This makes the game unplayable. I don't pay for games so I expect some ads but not to the extent of destroying the enjoyment of playing the game completely. I'm out.

Fantastic game! However, each level triggers an advertisement. This in itself would be fine if the game developers did not intentionally make the user tap on very tiny buttons up to THREE times per ad to close them, which are placed in three different locations on the screen. This game has become more an exercise on how accurate you can tap on tiny buttons to close the ads rather than exercising your brain. Still, it deserves 4 stars.

The ads are fast to close but there is one after every 5 second level. Ad free is 10 bucks which is too much. I'd pay maybe 6 bucks tops for ad free. I'm not willing to pay to get rid of ads yet because it is taking a long time to get to the harder levels to see if it's worth giving money to. I'm on level 100 and so far they're still really simple. No clue if they'll get more challenging than this. I wish there was a difficulty setting.

Fun game but I HATE that it launches with sound every time. Why can't I keep it on silent? Why do I have to turn the sound off every **** time? Edit: impressed with quick response. Problem solved using the feedback and updating the settings. Should have checked their first. 2nd edit: adding feedback that it doesn't credit the daily game anymore. Also, the spin is worthless. Never gives more than 25. I'm close to deleting. It's not as fun as I get to higher levels. Repetitive.
