This app is so awesome, it's much better than Google Translate 😃 However, there's a bug affecting the pronunciation change... For example, if I select US or any other dialect, well, it does always default to UK-RP... While this is just a minor annoyance, it's still bothersome having to change it every time... So, could you please add a default language selector (in the settings)?

The Wordreference website is amazing of course - so useful! But the app is a bit of a let down. The most irritating thing is that they've disabled text auto completion in the search box. That's appropriate when you're typing something like a password, but not here. It makes it much slower for me to type what I want. The pages are quicker to load than the website which is good, but the layout is exactly the same, not optimised in any way. So it's really not clear what the app offers.

I love it! it doesn't have just the translations between 2 languages, but between many! and also a Collocations dictionary, which is very useful. Ah, and the Definitions dictionary too, for when you don't get the meaning from the translation only. I recommend it to all my English students. UPDATE: For the past 2 or 3 months, the app has been taking a long time to load our search. Please fix this bug. Thank you!

Love this app. Very easy to use and fast better than carrying a physical dictionary around.

Word Reference is my go-to for great example sentences and real-world definitions. I always recommend it to my students.

I've been a faithful user for years. Wordreference will give you not only the meaning of the word, but also their category, conjugations, examples, definitions, and anything you may need. The forum.is another helpful resource when you can't find a word anywhere else.

For English Greek translation, it is the best I have found online over years. It's navigation is very convenient between translations and synonyms. It provides multiple meanings, phrases and examples. Exquisite!

It's one of the most useful dictionaries that you can find, but im struggling to scroll through the words as it keeps sliding to the side (from word reference to collins dictionary) and its kinda vexing.

Really good in general and full of resources! The problem is while typing in, at the very moment the search box matches a term, the keyboard flashes for a tiny bit of an instant and disappears, which sometimes makes you click on whatever there is below it and it goes to another page. Really annoying because you have to start over and it's a waste of time! I suppose that the problem is the default keyboard, which is the only option. Anyway, thank you for the job you do!

The app itself is wonderful but I recently started getting ads that have scantily clothed women. (I don't even remember getting any ads before!) So it's not worth putting up with that garbage. I don't mind ads that are not offensive but these are too offensive to put up with. They don't seem to have any paid version or ad-free version. So I'm probably going to uninstall. Too bad. Otherwise a great app!

The app generally speaking does a good job at translating words, but I have come across more than once with words that are not included in this dictionary. The app is also not very user friendly in the sense that if you are translating from one language to another and then you want to find a synonym, when you want to go back to translation, the app does not make it simple to go back, is not intuitive.

Essential app for language learners and anyone who communicates in a language that is not their native tongue. Multiple dictionaries, extensive definitions, conjugation tables, access to the forum, useful features like being able to save searches. The app is mostly reliable and fast compared to the website. Has been my go-to translation dictionary for years.

The word reference dictionary itself is 5 stars. It has no equal as far as I've seen. The app leaves some room for want. First of all, would love to be able to download a dictionary and have it available offline, this alone would probably bring it to 4.5 stars (currently have to use linguee for this). The only other problem is the occasional bugginess switching between the translator and the conjugator, not a huge deal, but annoying. Would also like to see a french definition dictionary.

I love this app and use it all the time, but I find the "favorite terms" feature to be a bit week because words cannot be accessed across devices or between the app and the website. I would love it if you could create an account that would save all of your favorite terms across instances. A labeling system (new words, academic vocabulary, technical terms, etc.) or a flashcard feature with favorite terms would also be very useful. I would subscribe to a premium account for these features.

Good but not always easy to use. The dictionaries and the content is thorough and the examples are good however it is really easy to lose your place and not be able to find the dictionary you were in again without digging into the menu and clicking three or 4 times to get just back to the basic translation dictionary. That is just an unnecessary hassle and annoyance, also they don't respond to emails...

As a Spanish teacher, I have found WR to be an invaluable resource for myself; consequently, it is the #1 go-to for my students. Not only do the dictionaries contain a wide variety of contextual nuances for words in different situations, but the forums allow clarification with native speakers throughout the Spanish-speaking world. For a language nerd, both enlightening and at times entertaining.

Been using the WordReference website for many years—it's been my favorite translation resource. When I found the app, I knew I would find the same functionality & quality in it. One of my favorite features is the ability to click on any word within a definition & immediately view a translation of that word—it makes an understanding of what you're reading instantaneous. If only I'd had access to such an app in college, when I was grappling with those tedious passages of Proust!

Almost completely satisfied with this application. Very professionally designed, and very complete with information about any language you can think of.. However, even if it were part of the premium version, I would pay to have the ability to synchronize the mobile version with the web app version, through the provisions of a same account username. For example, it would be extremely helpful to log into your web app on the computer, and see all the terms you have saved on your phone app.

Still the best around, hands down. No other language reference apps even come close. Every translation for any word, conjugations, definitions, etc. Easy to navigate; almost every word displayed serves as link to its own entry! Not the most beautiful looking UI, but for good reason: It's extraordinary functional and powerful. If you're studying a new language, this is the only reference guide you need! (And for Spanish, it's so much better than SpanishDict.)

1. Nice dark theme, but text is faded gray instead of white; hard to read. 2. App has a "back" button, but not a "forward" button; if you don't remember where you began your search, you're forever lost, especially if you click on a menu item midstream. 3. Useless English-only results are mixed in with the Spanish (same issue on website). User cannot remove them from search results.
