WordPress powers over a third of the web. It’s used by hobby blogs, businesses of all sizes, online stores, even the biggest news sites on the internet. Odds are that many of your favorite websites are running on WordPress.

With WordPress, you own your own content. Other social networks treat you as a commodity, and assume ownership of the content you post. But with WordPress anything you publish is yours, and you can take it with you wherever you’d like.

Whether you need a website builder to create your website, or a simple blog maker, WordPress can help. It gives you beautiful designs, powerful features, and the freedom to build anything you want.

I wanted to like this app so much. It would have been useful. Unfortunately, in the two weeks since installing it, it has crashed twice. Both times losing multiple blog post drafts in the process. Losing local drafts to get a message which says, "Posts couldn't be refreshed at this time." Lost posts, lost time. Very frustrating to say the least.

This app is very very limited in what it can do, compared to the site. Shame, considering users do most social media, photography and videography from mobile devices. There is no ability to link to other pages on the site when creating a new post, aside from manually entering the URL. Feature request: Bring up a list of links to choose from on our own site when tapping the link option.

App keeps freezing and crashing. I got the app so I could upload pictures directly from my phone. But the majority of the time, something goes wrong. I thought using the app would make it more convenient to update my blog, but it is more frustrating and time consuming than transferring pictures to my computer and uploading them to my blog from there.

Very glitchy. Hard to use for writing poetry. The boxes used for typing in, lag. For instance when you want to use another box, the time it takes for the app to understand the command, it's painstakingly slow. Or if you start typing in a new box and hit the back button; it erases whatever was written in the new box and takes you back to the older box. The app is very annoying. There are some good qualities, yet the bad seem to outweigh the good.

The app could use some work. It's great for when I'm away from my laptop, but some customization features aren't present in the mobile app and there's a formatting glitch that makes posting difficult. I cannot customize my message, write an excerpt, or customize my slug when on the mobile app. I'd love it if I could. The formatting glitch happens every time I have to go back in my writing and add or delete sentences. It will change all previous text to headings. Pretty great otherwise.

A good app to use on the go. The website is less clunky. I import my podcast from Spotify For Podcasters and the app doesn't have a "podcast feed" block I can add like the website does... The app just an "audio" block. So it doesn't have the same controls for a podcast feed like advancing the audio 30 seconds. It would be advisable to add the "Podcast Player" block to the options for the mobile app.

This is a really close mirror to the desktop site, so very good and easy on the user. The paragraph editor translates poorly though -- you can't just open the app and type in plain text, and formatting is not contained in the text box like in most apps. For instance, you have to change the whole paragraph type to "list" to get a bulleted list. The formatting menus for each paragraph are hidden because they are smaller components of a text box. Really annoying and a hindrance to simply writing.

All it does is crash now. I can't even add multiple videos at once in classic mode that have been uploaded already to my media library. It just crashes. When I go to upload anything it also crashes more than 50% of the time. Its absolutely atrocious. QA needs to do their job & stop making each update one step closer to rendering the app almost completely unusable. The new format for uploading SUCKS. If you choose to use you own file manager to upload while in the app, it renames all the files

I want to give it more stars because the site layout is nice and efficient, but editing posts is awful. The lag is absolutely unbearable. Trying to add a couple of characters takes 5-10 seconds to show up on screen. I've written part of a sentence and it's taken 30+ seconds to post them. Deleting them is even worse! I'm not even a fast typer on the text keyboard. It would be faster to handwrite everything at this point. Stick to the browser version for editing if this is why you want the app.

I just started using the mobile app today and I'm finding it to be very glitchy. When I try to change text to italics, for example, it takes forever to register. I often have to save the document, exit, then go back in to continue. Sometimes when I do this however, it doesn't retain the changes. Just now I've tried saving three times and text that I had deleted is still appearing in the draft.

After five years with WP, I've now converted to the app exclusively. It offers most of the features that my laptop does with ease of my Android S9. Writing and posting is a breeze, anywhere inspiration hits. I do however miss the variety of buttons offered on my computer, such as highlight, quotation, or changing color of text. This helps delineate text in interviews for example. No shade, just hope it helps in next upgrade. Nice app though! :)

This app does everything it should, and it does it with a very small footprint. There are other apps that are 10-15 times larger than this one that do not do an effective job and have far too many bugs. This app has very few, or no bugs at all compared to the"fatware" that's out there. The only issue I have is that it does not display jetpack items.

it's very limited. many things that can be done via the website cannot be done in the app. for example, portfolios can't even be listed, much less edited; the Manage Categories screen on the website isn't available in the app - in fact, the whole Customizer isn't there. it's a joke that they haven't added to this app in all this time. the visual editor is buggy, and doesn't support the majority of blocks. the only benefit is a relative speed bump with editing posts and pages. not really worth it

The visual editor has been problematic since its introduction a few years ago. I am going back to the old editor. If the old editor presents problems, then I will move on to Evernote or something similar since I am using this app only to keep private journals. Poor all around. Both types of editors are still buggy. Seems as if this app is being abandoned by the company. Another update begets the bugs that had been fixed. These guys are spending their time fixing their own mistakes. Buggy.

I have been using wordpress for 4 yrs and generally love it. But the most recent changes (mobile app) has caused glitches of a variety. It no longer handles long posts well, and will freeze, loose text, and crash all together. Even in shorter posts it can hang up switching/adding blocks, and sometimes drops portions of text. Initially I thought it was just me, but I see here with other comments I am not alone. I do wish I could uninstall just the last update as it was working fine prior.

Very confusing. Going to it through the app is different than online through Chrome. Many times the header features are missing and cannot get into photos to add a photo to the article. But the display format is very good. I am not informed as to whether the Public even sees these posts but I am not concerned about that anyways. It is true that no one can help anyone unless they can first help themselves. I am doing this for myself anyways! (Luke 6:39-42)

Sigh. For years I stayed awau from this as it would be an exercise in hair-pulling. Recently tried it again and at first it seemed to improve. Then the next day the app simply refuses to open. Crashes every time. Aside from that, it had clunkiness to it uploading images. A main reason for using this is remote image uploads from the phone you're using! Meanwhile I just use the browser on my phone and that does everything fine. I don't quite understand how that works great yet a mobile app fails.

Frustrated. This app worked one moment, then stopped all of a sudden. Then I get a new error that says the server is missing XML-RPC methods...well, they were there a moment ago, right? So now I can't login at all on the app. I would just really like a smooth interface to my site so I can upload photos easily, and this has been a hassle. Hoping it gets resolved soon.

In theory, this app could be wonderfully useful for bloggers on the go. The design, layout, and features provide everything I could want and need. Unfortunately, the reliability of the app falls short. I run into problems almost every time I use it. The whole app will freeze and crash any time I try to add more than a few pictures to a post, and what should take fifteen minutes ends up taking two hours. It is unbelievably frustrating. Editing on a mobile web browser is even worse, though.

Annoyed. I just updated my blog to this latest app version of WordPress because the older version I was using is not designed for the latest version of Android. After reading the "About this app" details I was fine with the upgrade because the features i used were included. Yet once I updated, WordPress informed me that to continue to have access to the reader and notifications, I had to download and switch to Jetpack. In other words, I feel I have been fed a bit of bait and switch. Not happy.
