The game idea is fantastic, but you need some help on the app. As you progress naturally it gets harder and it's very difficult to exit a game in the middle of it. Sometimes your progress is lost. Need a way to save partial games. Other than that I love the game. Wonderful challenge. 7 months later you have added so many ads that it's hardly worth playing this game anymore. Just stop with the constant ads. You're ruining the game.

This puzzle game reminds me of Scrabble. Easy to play and addictive for sure. No pressure to beat a clock! Just find specific words from the letters in the matrix. Easy at first but more challenging as you progress to the next level. The words may need to be identified in a certain order making the remaining letters in the matrix a bit more challenging to form the remaining words. A game to exercise your word power. 👍👌

I've had this app for years and I used to love it but recently I have been disappointed. When I got the app there were hardly any advertisements and the daily puzzle challenges were actually challenging. Now this app is inundated with not just ads but almost 30 second ads between every puzzle and after I wake my phone if I have to set it aside for a MOMENT. I know this is where they make their money but the ads are excessive and takes the fun out of what was a great game. In addition I'm afraid to download Word Brain 2 because it might be worse than this.

Update: still had the transfer issue, but major problem is that you cannot save the app to sd storage, so you loose space on main internal storage. Orig:Only drawback is you cannot easily transfer data and hints between devices if you get a new one or have tablet and phone. up to 4 stars from 3, stepped away for awhile and came back to find the app a is still great way to get the mind working. some new features makes it even better

I get to the Elephant level and there's one puzzle that seems as if it doesn't want me to solve it to get to the next puzzle. I understand there are challenges but whoever made that one particular puzzle is just ridiculous. That's taking the difficulty way too far.😑😔 Update: I finally solved the puzzle earlier and it took over 10 tries to do it. 😑🙂

***update. irritated that I lost all my progress when I switched phones. Just getting back into the game after taking a year long break. (not entertaining going back to level one) Also clicking the option to watch a video for free hint only gives me a hint afterwards Sometimes. Lame.*** I used to love it but it doesn't allow me to watch videos for hints anymore... also it stopped giving be the bonus hints when completing level. I'm up to jellyfish level.

I used to love wordbrain. I played it all the time a few years back, so I re-downloaded it recently. The game now feels extremely sluggish and the controls feel very slow and inaccurate. Mind you I'm playing this on a brand new LG so it's not the phone. The graphical presentation of the game is far worse than before. It used to present itself as a smart clean cut game. Now it's bloated with gimmick power ups and cartoonist animation which clutters the game and depresses the mind.

i want to get bonus points for all the words i find, not just the ones you favor for no reason i can tell. and the yay graphic comes after every round, so for the first 30 rounds, you're spending as much time playing as you are waiting to play, which is annoying. i like that the ratio of hints is high. i uninstalled another game because i was spending all my time watching ads or filling in surveys just to get tools like hints to help me pass every single level. fun game, minimal ads. recommend.

Mostly it's a good game. I've gotten far enough I to it that it's no longer a quick play, so I don't play every day. The short term challenges must have a new writer, because the suddenly jumped from doable and fun to a real struggle. All long words, which you might think easier, but they aren't, and some really unusual ones. Chandlery was in one I just finished. I know the word, but only because I spent a lot of time at Mystic Seaport as a kid.

Interesting, levels get progressively more challenging, though some words do repeat. Great to play when you have a short break! When you get stuck, especially when you reach the 8x8 grids, you can use the walkthroughs (Google 'Wordbrain walkthroughs') for help. Word of caution, at the 8x8 grids, sometimes the grids are arranged differently than the walkthrough and hints will not help, but all levels are passable-you just have to exercise patience and skill to win the level.

It's like a long series of Boggle puzzles. It can be frustrating to have a legal word that is an anagram of the word you are supposed to find. Also would be nice to know current progress towards end of the area, sometimes the puzzles seem endless. Some features like Daily Streak seem to have no reward. Overall a very entertaining game for word puzzle lovers.

Had loved this game for quite some time. I successfully saved my progress with a move to a new phone through the Facebook synchronization option. But as everyone else has already noted, the advertisements have destroyed the game from every angle imaginable. 12/31 Update - Major improvements with a dramatic reduction in ads, a daily puzzle, and this season's holiday challenge was very long. This all results in a daily variety of excellent puzzles. Great job!

A fun yet challenging word game that gives you just enough easy puzzles to get your confidence up but then becomes more and more difficult. It is both fun and frustrating to learn the little "quirks" for even more satisfying play. Better yet, maybe we could "earn" extra points for spelling words of 5, 6, 7, 8 letters or more for words in the puzzle but not designated as the words which complete the puzzle. Thanks for the challenge! I really enjoy it.

Been playing for over a year and reached Minatour level, unfortunately my phone died now I have to start all over. It would be nice if your status could be saved to something besides Facebook since I don't use Facebook. Otherwise very challenging and great fun. Also, would be nice if they wouldn't keep adding puzzles. It would be nice to feel the accomplishment of completing. At one time I was 77% completed and even though I have advanced multiple levels I am at 31% complete...ugh.

I play this game all the time... My husband and I are in somewhat of a competition with it... However, THE ADS HAVE GOTTEN INSANE!!! when I first started playing, it really this bad, and I didn't mind it.. Now it's extremely annoying. I hope this gets fixed! I do LOVE that now if you leave a game partially completed, they save the words you've already found. That part is very cool!

I am sad that I have almost completed all of the puzzles. This game has provided me with hours of fun & although some puzzles took time, they were all solvable without purchasing extra hints. Additional clues would ruin the challenge. Perfect as is (unless you don't like a challenge!)Update: now there are more levels to solve! Yeah!! Back again...still my favorite game! Still fun to play!

Would be a great game except for one BIG flaw! You should be getting bonus points for words that you find that are not in the given puzzle. The amount of legitimate words that do not register is frustrating!!! Simple words such as male, ale, ten, jazz, etc. If they fix this flaw, I would be very happy with the game. It could also use less frequent ads, but that's an annoying thing that we are used to.
