On my phone, at least, this app is way more power hungry than the complexity justifies. Even when my phone is plugged in, if I am running this the power level is usually dropping, so that if I play it for too long, the phone runs out of power and shuts down. If they fixed that, and didn't make you sit through 10 seconds of the exact same ad time after time as nauseum in the free version, it would be 5 stars in my view.

Cannot turn the sound off for the way too many ads, so it is useless to play in most situations such as in transit, at appointments, sharing rooms. You can turn your device's sound off, but miss calls. Too bad. I know people want to make money on their apps, but this guy's a greedy Ba**ard with the overwhelming number of them.

I like the game. I haven't experienced the problems others have like scrambling when no other words are available. Repeated game theme is more challenging. I've been able to back out of them using the back button or a well hidden x that lets you exit early. It'll kick you to Google play but 1 button returns you to the game. MY ISSUE is that it turns off notifications while I play. So, I don't get text message notifications. Very inconvenient when I'm using it to waste time waiting for a text...

This game is great at first. I've beat 800+ puzzles and now they are just repetitive, same games and different levels. With the last updates the hints stopped working along with the part that circles the word your looking for. The Offers do not work. I dont know about the survey, never tried that or trust it. Video add works only part time. Time to delete the app ☹️

Update 7-19-22 *Fun. When it works & doesn't lock up. Sometimes ads freeze screen, or screen black & puzzle doesn't show. Fix.*Fun! Some puzzles are a little harder than others. Or I just don't see it. Had one glitch. I would not let me continue on. The puzzles were all locked. Went in and out, tried an older puzzle. Then it opened up. UPDATE. Screen going black. Won't let me in. Been playing 4 years and now some glitch. Getting ready to uninstall. Messes up statistics and frustrating. Fix it!

Tried it. It was ok, but too simple and mundane. When I wanted to leave the game because I couldn't shuffle the tiles without having to buy coins, there was no option to quit. Every button took me to a page to buy coins. Because I couldn't get out of the game, I had to reboot my phone which was so irritating. Then I logged back on and deleted the app from my phone. The accompanying music and constant congratulatory animation is also so annoying.

The interface is simple and doesn't lag or freeze on my S8, but at level 138 I'm officially bored. The word puzzles do get harder, but there's no incentive like a bigger reward, the chance to power up or variation in the game itself to keep me motivated. I am spending money on coins and I don't mind doing that, but the game play becomes monotonous. I kind of feel like the goal is really to vacuum my bank account slowly, which I can do just fine in real life. Don't need a puzzle game for that.

The game is good to play until I got to about level 37 and then it started purposely making it harder to get the words which would be fine if it didn't cost 50 coins for every shuffle. Which, in other games from this developer, is free. And yeah you can watch an ad to get 25 free coins but who wants to watch more ads after being bombarded by the tons in this game just to have to do it again 2 seconds later when the shuffle sucks? I'll change my rating if they choose to fix this feature.

Concept is great BUT there are no instructions! It's relatively simple for the regular themed plays but the daily challenge doesn't make sense. If you reshuffle ( have to use coins) you lose the highlighted letters when googled how to play, it says you can solve every puzzle without coins, in my experience, that is ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE. Looks like the goal of the game is to see how many videos you will watch or how many coins you will buy. I'm out!!

(update:i dropped the rating because the location of those buttons are really pissing me off) So, i like this game. it's very addictive and the advertisements are reasonable. But those 3 clue buttons at the bottom are in the wrong place. it takes a long time to collect coins. And then you accidently touch one and there goes all your hard work. It's extremely frustrating!! Move them to the top and I'll rate you higher.

Too many ads. Every time you finish a round you have to watch an ad to get to the next round. The ads shouldn't come that often. It is too much, especially when you complete a round very quickly! Fix this problem to an ad approximately every 3-4 rounds and it would be do-able (for free version) and then I may consider purchasing the ad-free version.

The game is ok, but the ads are so frequent it really ruined it for me (like every other level, you're interrupted by an add) and then, when I tried to delete the app as unplayable, all of my other downloaded apps (including gmail and the standard search the come with android phones) started crashing and I ended up having to do a factory restore. It was Not Good. Really do not recommend.

After you reach the 4th level of achievement all it wants is for you to watch commercials. It will put the letters in a way that you have to reshuffle. To do that you need coins. To get coins, which the are stingy with, you have to watch commercials or take surveys or look at deals or buy coins. Not worth all the extra time you have to spend aside from actually playing the game, which is fun in itself.

I absolutely love this game - I play it almost daily and always try to make time for it in small bursts throughout my very busy day. However, the ads are so annoying!!! Is there a version of Word Stacks that I can purchase so I don't get the ads? I would be more than happy to throw money at you to avoid the advertisements! Besides the ads this is a really great game!

It was great until it wasn't. I'm all for a challenge; but this will force many people to spend coins out of frustration to scramble or give hints. You pay for each one, and most of the coins you earn go to a piggy bank that you have to repeatedly buy. You can't remove ads with coins, either, and they're VERY intrusive after EVERY round. They want to keep up micro transactions, fine. But I'm leaving. Don't waste your time. I myself never had to use the hints- since the developer seems to think I did. But it did get extremely frustrating at times. It's also not ok that they ignored the rest of my review. Not cute.

This game is ok. The drawbacks are as follows: they occasionally include weird or misspelled words. For instance in a game, "things that change" they included the word Laval, which I couldn't find in the dictionary. It seems to be a place in Canada? Is it a Canadian joke? They sometimes write desert when they mean dessert, etc. Plus, and this is far more annoying, they repeat games. Is it that hard to come up with word groupings that you need to repeat games? It's very easy to have hundreds of levels when they're all the same! There are words they like to reuse too. I guess you have to keep things at a certain vocab level, but I wish the game were more varied. Other people complain about how expensive hints are. You may have to buy hints at the beginning as you get used to the game, but people spent some time developing this for free, so come off your $5 Or whatever and buy some hints. After a while, the free hints you get from finding bonus words should be enough when you need an occasional hint. Overall, ok game.

I really like the game. I found it fun and challenging as I like word games. However I purchased coins to use and right after before I had a chance to use them the game froze. So I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it thinking my coins would still be there, however they were not. It started the game over again. I am unhappy over the fact I am out 5.99 and am waiting to hear back about my refund. It would be nice if the game was linked to your google account or something and your progress is saved so that if something like this happens you start where you left off. Otherwise I love the game!
