Overall this is a good game, not including the ads which seem to multiply every day . . . Until you get a couple levels into talented chef. It was a really challenging, educational game until I reached talented chef. After that, it started taking me back to my home screen over and over, until I restarted my phone and it completely uninstalled itself. So then I reinstalled it... And it disappeared again. I have downloaded this app a total of three times. Try another app if you want it to remember

awesome game really. my issues come in with the advertisements. after every single round there is an ad. when I go to any other screen and try to return to the game. another ad. even if it's for just a second. really annoying. also. there is black border at the top and bottom of my screen. yet they take up part of the playing board with yet another advertisement! I'd be less upset about it but I cant even see all the letters sometimes! its REALLY annoying. just move it(ad) to the unused screen

I have been playing this game for years at night to fall asleep. I love the weekend Bake-Off, the holiday events & now Premium Pass events. However, I can no longer watch videos to get extra coins for the special levels & I wish they would bring it back. Also sometimes there isn't a video available to watch after the spin & I forget to check back. My two complaints are puzzle events (not tickets) that run at same time as Premium Pass because you have to pick one or other, not both and non-words.

The game is super great, fun, and overall captivating. But the data sync feature didn't work for me. I was signed in with my Google account and accidentally deleted the game for space. But when I redownloaded it literally later that day, I couldn't reconnect my game. Customer service basically told me to keep disconnecting and reconnecting, which of course didn't work. I was so far into the game that there's no point in playing anymore. I was past 8 letters per level. Really unfortunate...

I have had this game for a coupe years and enjoy it. Knocked two stars of because recently the ads keep crashing the game. Anytime you check a text or hop to another app, when you come back an ad comes up. Now, when the ad is done and I tap the x up in the corner a thinking loop appears and keeps running and there is no way to get back to the game except to close it and re open.

Brain exercise. Addictive. Update--Taking a star off because it's almost impossible to transfer game when changing phones. Game reset to the beginning on the new phone. Have finally gotten my progress back after way too much time and effort. But, I still don't have the points I bought. If I can't get those back without much more effort, will be back too take off another star or two.

This is a VERY addictive game. It is a ton of fun for any adult and helps younger players learn to spell. My only complaint would be the long ads that pop up quite often. Another 5 star rating that has been reduced to 1. After the most recent update, I get "Unfortunately, Word Cookies has stopped" error every time I attempt to open the game. Worse is that I must close with task manager or the message pops up regularly. After following the developer's advice, it still doesn't work Uninstalled :'(

I love this word game. It's different from the others. When you play a valid word, but, not one they've chose.. You get coins for each one. It's accurate, the swiping from letter to letter is smooth, doesn't break up and have to try several more times... like other games. One thing I do NOT like. When the game is an advertiser in another app, they will not allow you to mute the noise like most others do. I DON'T need noise to watch what it is about! I am going to delete the game if it doesn't

(Dec 2016, 4-star) Free game, quick to pick up, easy to play. Not very challenging, decent amount of content (I cleared the whole game in a couple hours) --- Edit: A fun game. It has been adding *much* more content over the years, but also the instances of forced ads have gotten worse. I've lost patience by now; the game is still a fun little word challenge and time waster, but the implementation of how they push ads on the player has tipped the scales, for me. Not worth my time anymore.

There's no longer the option to watch videos for extra coins & the daily spin rarely gives up more than 15 coins, not random like it used to be. AGAIN, a word in the daily challenge was NOT in the dictionary! Okay, I get it now, we can replay old levels to get the letters we need for the weekly puzzle. **Positive: Seeing ads for it, I thought, "Whatever!", but I downloaded it to get points for something else and I'm hooked!

Very addictive. Great activity for the brain. Ran great for a long time. Now every time it plays an advertisement it gets stuck and the little circle keeps running. Still waiting for the fix. Yesterday it kicked me back all the way to the beginning of the game. Won't let me connect to Facebook. I'll give it another week, if not fixed I'll find a different word game.

Update 10/10/2020. Still enjoy the game, however, since I last updated to the latest version, I am frustrated by the "daily challenge" wheel. No matter when I select it to award bonus points, the wheel either speeds up or slows down to only give me 10 points. I used to get a variety of bonus points and items, but now it only awards 10 points each and every time. It is frustrating. Love the game, very challenging... hate the ads between each round and every time you have to pause the game.

The ads are way too intrusive. I've stopped playing many mobile games like this now because of this. I'd be fine waiting through a 30 second ad (some of which are even longer), but then it requires me to press 3 different skip buttons, and any swipe or tap in the ever slightest wrong spot sends you straight to the ad's play store page. My phone requires swiping to go back/tab out, and this bypasses that, opening the play store instead. I'm fine with watching ads, just not strapped to a chair.

I've reduced the stars because many of the ads are disgusting. Our granddaughters enjoy playing this game with us, but then there's pictures of women spilling out of their clothes top and bottom. It's not easy to close the ads (the x is either too tiny, misleading, or so close to a corner that three device's case prevents larger fingers from hitting it), and next thing you know your on an installation or learn more page, which results in more of the disgusting images showing up.

Hate the ads for this game so much I uninstalled it completely. Wasn't enjoying the game as much as I used to already, and the ads which never end and keep trying to take me to the game when I try to hit the x finally ticked me off. This used to be a simple word scramble I could pass some time with, now there are constant events that take me away from puzzles and waste my time. Done with it all.

Edit to my previous review: I thought the only way to get rid of ads was to pay $10 per month. I was wrong! This game is a lot of fun and definitely worth getting rid of the ads! Old review: The game is fun but there really needs to be a paid ad free version. The ads are just too frequent and too long. Plus its the same two ads over and over. I don't have much time to spend playing mobile games so when I do get the chance i don't want to waste it waiting for ads to be over.

I just tried it, wasn't ready to rate when first prompted, I needed a bit more to decide, until very, very few moves later when any "extra" made words are just wrong and not counted for extra coins or points somehow. I know every game is different. But to me, this was the complete breaker. I'm no one. I just pick a few mind connecting/challenging games I enjoy for a while and then I start to watch ads for new ones. Just thought I'd give my feedback ...some sort of reward for all correct words

I have been playing this game for about 8 years, after I had a stroke. After learning how to read & speak again, this game has helped me work on my vocabulary & I play it every day. However, I have noticed that if my points are close to 1600, is I reach the 80 extra words, it doesn't give me the points. It actually goes backwards! For example: I had 1590 points & claimed the extra 80 points. But instead of 1670 points, I then had 1570!! What's up with that??

Update: Still no help from anyone. I absolutely do not recommend this game. Totally rigged. No support help. Weekly game is a joke. A lousy 20 coins for 20 puzzles. Only way to get more coins is with real money. I played this game for years but haven't played in a long time. ALL my progress from before is gone!! I've tried logging in and following suggestions given in the minimal ideas the bot had. Support is a "bot" can't reach a live person. I enjoy the puzzles but you get nothing for it!

I used it as a stand alone word game app for years. Now it blocks all use unless I register for a "Bakers Cup" that appears to be a competition. I'm not interested in that, don't want to register for anything, and may be forced to uninstall the app if it continues to be unusable. Addendum: The issue was addressed quickly and efficiently and I changed my rating to 5 stars.
