Edit: Now desperately needs a "report ad" button, as the ad is so processor intensive that it's interfering with my ability to play this game. Orig: Desperately needs a mute option for the ads. Apparently I'm not necessarily the most up on being a Scrabble dictionary, so when I get frustrated, I pull up someone's Scrabble tool online and enter some of their suggestions. Plays well enough, works smoothly, though I still haven't used much of their assist tools.

Excellent, some words make you think, which is what you want. The control is smooth and It is fast, no intrusive ads, this is perfect to tease ones brain, and while-away some time. The dictionary is american, which should be stated at the start. So far I have really enjoyed playing. Hat's off to the developers, it's excellent.

It's good game to find your limits of ur mind but after a point it's addictive. Once at office I got caught playing this game and got told to focus. But it is the best game I've played so far.

Enjoyable alternative to similar games, with far less ads which is wonderful (still a fair number to support the app, but can do quite a few levels before they pop up so not too inteusive). About 120 puzzles in, and do feel like it could be a bit more challenging at this stage (mostly 5 letter puzzles with 5-6 words, which is fairly easy). I'm hoping I started to see larger, more challenging levels soon. Would update to 5 stars if I see this.

Nice game to challenge your vocabulary. You can shuffle the letter wheel, get hints etc. The word length will change from 5 to 6 letter words if you progress far enough... There are non-intrusive ads at the bottom of the screen and the occasional full screen ad every 5 levels or so. These can be disabled for a small fee. Would love to be able to configure the base dictionary e.g. to British English. Update: Dropped to 2 stars as it has lost my progress data 3 times! Looking for an alternative.

This has minimal ad overhead. Dictionary is good although it contains some unusual words. The number of levels is not too huge. Nevertheless, this is better than most other word games.

Great game ads are almost nil. Would have given a 5 star but words are to easy. Some words don't exist. Be nice if you had challenges against other players. But overall great game.

Good game, clear word board, ads only come on occasionally not after every game which is good. Looking forward to working my way through the levels, very relaxing and rewarding.

I like that this game is totally free. The ads are fast, 30 seconds tops. However, the crossword words are always the same. Sometimes proper nouns are used, and the names of European capitals are also used. No US cities are accepted. No clever words are accepted. There is a dictionary that explains what the weird words mean. If you are a mathematician, you might know those words as they have to do with equations or words that are associated with geometry, etc. All in all, it is a good game.

Reset completely after 1400+ levels. No point in continuing since it doesn't symch progress with the cliud. Game is a reasonable facsimile of Wordscapes, but with some problems. The dictionary is spotty, rejecting fairly basic words, including ones that are merely plural forms of accepted words. The input and feedback could also be a bit better- word rejection is too subtle and it's difficult to undo mis-selected letters. It doesn't even progress past 5 letter words until level 1315.

This is about the best word game I've found. It even uploaded fast. It rewards often with points, and the few advertising messages are far and few between. And the advertising that does show up, you do not have to wait very long to "x" out of it to return to your game. I am not a very patient person, so this is important to me. The words are easy AND challenging for me, and as I said, the game rewards you often. I just wish it offered different scenes instead of the purple desert.

It's a good game! Ads are short or nonexistent, concept is easy to understand (my grandma plays it all the time!) And there's virtually infinite combinations of letters for levels. Single gripe: the definitions are autogenerated, and thus occasionally words seemingly break the games rules: til, for example, is defined as an abbreviation for today I learned, despite abbreviations otherwise never being acceptable.

I am really enjoying this new version of Wordscapes, which I have been playing for a long time. First, there are FAR fewer ads, which only last five seconds. Second, so far, I haven't been automatically enrolled in a tournament . Third, the games and levels are quick and the interface is smooth and intuitive. HUGE improvement!

Fun word game. There are few ads. I really like the dictionary feature which is available after each round and shows all words from that round. In most game you don't get the chance to look up the last word, which is more than likely the one you wanted to look up. No teams, challenges or chat. In fact no goals at all. I would like to see some goals to reach.

I've been playing this game the whole night and it has barely ads. That is one of the best things that an app could have, not a lot of adds! It also helps me keep my mind off things, last night I couldn't sleep and I wanted to try out some word games and each of the other apps had a lot of bad reviews about having too much adds. But on the other hand this app has zero adds, it's very intertaning and its free!

Love that there are minimal ads and that the game is straight forward. There are inconsistencies in whether or not a word is counted. Sometimes plurals garner extra points for one level and do not work on others. Some of the definitions seem slightly off/archaic; some slang has been added (yup, yep, etc.), while other words are not included at all. Overall, fun game.
