I like the functionality when everything works right, but the app crashes constantly. sometimes it's hard to turn the lights on or off and the motion detector doesn't work about 20% of the time. totally defeats the purpose of having "smart" bulbs. I also get notifications from my phone that the app is using abnormally high battery and that it runs in the background I even after telling it to go to sleep when not in use. Can I share diagnostic data with you, WiZ

It used to run perfectly! I had no issues for months. But after the most recent update. My app crashes three to four times before I can even adjust my lights. So disappointing. I've spent thousands on these lights and now I can barely get the app to stay open for a few interactions. I hope they fix this asap. I'm starting to question if I should have bought these "smart" lights. BTW. I'm running it on a S23+ OneUi version 6.0 (Android 14).

Ever since the update to this app, my lights don't work the same. When I turn them on by the switch, they start off bright and then dim to about 50%. I have changed the settings multiple times. Doesn't matter if the WizClick setting is on or disabled. Doesn't matter if I ask it to remember the last brightness setting or not. Nothing has fixed it. Additionally, the app freezes, and sometimes it doesn't save, and it's overall hard to navigate. It's unreliable now.

I've used wiz for at least a year and a half, never had problems with the old app (which is still available for now by the way), I downloaded this one weeks ago, it paired no problem and I began to explore some of the great new features. The app only worked for a couple of days though, after which point it disconnected from all of my lights, forgot the new defaults I had set and will no longer load the pairing menu so I can attempt reconnecting. I mess with it every few days but so far, nothing

This new app is fine, it's a bit buggy and crashes randomly, but that is to be expected for a new app. I'm sure it'll get fixed with time. My main issue is that the new widgets are just not as good looking as the old ones. I wish I was able to customize them more (background color, background transparency, icons, etc.) At the moment, the widgets stick out like a sore thumb on my phone screen, and there's no minimal looking option.

I love the dynamic options and the ability to highly customize the lighting of an area or room. My only concern is that sometimes, certain ones or all of my wiz lights are "unavailable". One in particular, I named "this b!t?h never works" because I turn it off remotely every night, but almost every morning I have to get up and manually turn it off and on to get it "accessible".

This app works fine most of time but I've always had an annoying issue. When daylight savings time comes around all. My lights turn on/off an hour early. The official "fix" is to change the time zone in the app, disconnect (unscrew) all your bulbs, change TZ in app, reconnect all your bulbs, correct TZ in app, disconnect and reconnect all your bulbs. It's easier just to fudge all the times in your schedules. The old app was easier to use than this hot mess, still had the DST problem though.

I just uninstalled the app. I had used it for years with multiple products around the house. Now I get an unknown error everyone I try to use it. There used to be a switch to turn all lights in one room on/off from the home screen, now it makes me turn them on one at a time with many taps between each light. It seems as if someone decided to try to make the worst user experience possible.

When I try making schedules for the lights, the programmed time drifts. For example, if I set the light to turn on at 0:600, it will turn on about 30 mins too early or too late, if it turns on at all. This system will only work with 2.4ghz wifi, so if you use 5ghz it won't work. Programs often disengage themselves for no reason. Sometimes my lights turn on in the middle of the night by themselves. I'm going to look for another system.

Messed up my light My light was working fine until I updated the app. Whenever I try to add my light I get a bunch of issues. Light not found. Enter password for wifi. Doesnt find it. Connect to Wiz wifi even of it shows 'not connected'. It gets stuck and still doesnt find it. Turn lights off until they start flashing. Cant find it. Connect to wiz wifi again. Fudge this, I'm done with it. Going with a different brand next time. These lights are more troubleshooting than functionality.

Up until recently this was a great app but now for the past weeks every time I try and turn my lights on in a room one of them cant connect and won't even turn on. If my partner tries on their phone occasionally it will work but usually says it can't communicate with the device. I've tried deleting and reading the device multiple different it has become an issue to where I ha e to re add it every time I want to use the bulb. Once bulbs burn I don't think I plan to replace them with more from wiz

Very cool. You do not have to pay for the app! It's got all the bells and whistles and colors and schedules for all of my lighting needs. 4 paws up for the compatible products and the easy set up with the app. They compliment each other in every aspect. And they are quick to reply. Thank you for developing an app that lives up to every expectation, it makes the my home lighting "WOW" and I can easily change the colors to set the mood.

New: why would anyone release an app, and recommend that you go back to the old version? Fix it. I was able to reinstall my light, but, now, the OTHER light won't connect. Which worked just fine. Garbage. Stopped working. I tried over and over and over to get it to work, nothing. I chatted on tech support through the app, they recommended that I reinstall the legacy version. BS.

It doesn't have the single feature I use most, which is the 2x1 one-room widgets. I tried to make something similar using quick actions, but there's no "on/off toggle" quick action, you have to configure the "on" and "off" actions separately. Unfortunately I'll need to keep using V1 until they add something similar

What happened to Vacation Mode? The original wiz app made it so you could set your lights to vacation mode, so the lights would just randomly turn on and off. Now you no longer have this option. You have to set certain times which makes homes look more suspicious, if people were to watch your homes and the lights are coming on and off exactly the same time every day. Very disappointed.

Unknown problem, something went wrong. This message will drive you crazy as you try to use the app to log in, to adjust your lights, to turn them on and off. But the Wiz website will state no outages reported, of course. So all is well. Update after getting in a chat with support: The recommendation was to uninstall and reinstall the app. That took care of it. Upgrading by a star. I'll upgrade again if we can go awhile without incidents

I've had Wiz devices for over 2 years. Eveything works in the new app but the old app still controls integrations and some devices don't work on the old app so they appear as unavailable for integrations and sometimes take forever to show connected on the new app. There is a major disconnect between versions yet they are both still used and it's causing issues.

This app is absolute garbage. The v1 works so much better. I always get the loading circle and "There is a problem" devices show as on when they are off and it's a buggy mess... I've got well over $1k in bulbs across two homes and will rip them out and go with another brand and wireless function if these issues are not fixed. Absolutely horrible. Also cannot swap between our two homes easily. It says UNKNOWN ERROR, when I try anything with homes!

Everything about this app is a complete downgrade from V1, all the way down to the widgets. The entire UI screams amateur. The design feels cluttered. It's all over the place. Some settings are scrolled left to right instead of having everything on the left panel top to bottom, buttons everywhere, toggle sliders everywhere. It's a hot mess. I will continue to use V1 and hope to not be forced to use this app in the future.

I use the WiZ smart light bulbs, and I absolutely love this app. The only thing I wish I could do is set scenes in the quick settings and automation. It used to have that feature, but now it will only let you set one light setting for all lights in any particular room. I am, however, able to schedule a scene I've created for any room in the Alexa app instead (since the lights are compatible); so that mitigates the issue.
