I've been using Wise for years, and been quite happy until recently. The past month I've been unable to change my phone number due to the strict photo rules. I've tried over and over again to make sure my photo meets their requirements, but always end up with a message saying "We couldn't verify your photo." I've tried contacting customer service who are less than helpful, and keep referring to the importance of keeping the account safe from identity theft and tells me to improve my photo

I used to use it regularly for sending money/making payments. But now they got rid of my second preferred and most convenient method , Klarna, and I quit. They already got rid of paypal, now Klarna. All I have left now is credit card or bank transfer, which I can do manually without their fees, so no thank you. Very very disappointed. Edit: not changing my rating, I wish I could lower it in fact. They do introduce Sofort transfer again but their fees went up 100%. Time to move to PayPal

Have been using wise for a decade but they just bumped up their 0.8% fees of transfer by 2%, it now costs more to transfer with them than with my normal bank at 2.8%!!!!! One star for falling to continue delivering a consistent product. Revolut still charges no fee for the exact same transaction around 500€ with has slightly different exchange rate which translates in total to cost less than 1€ instead of 13€ with Wise now! Even the bank transfer with wise it's more expensive at 2€!

Absolutely amazing and indispensable app! Once I learned how to use Wise, all the international transfer fees from big banks(read: thieves) magically disappeared! And more importantly, using the card I can buy and shop like local in all my travels around the world without actually getting ripped off with bad exchange rates. The UI is great, and it's super fast for everything I want to do. Now I can't think of living and travelling without Wise anymore!!

This is the best fintech app I have ever used, Unfortunately, also with the worst communication interface I have ever encountered. For example, its guide on verification after your relocation to a new country gives you detailed steps but with no link - nor can you find it - on where to start. Give a negative review at its end, then only it'd ask you if you need help. But when you reach the verification page, it is still not country-specific. simply time-wasting & frustrating. WISE, fix it!

Forcing biometrics - I've always liked Wise and they always resolve issues quickly (the few issues I've had). Now, however, they have removed the choice of biometrics so I can't enter my account without it. This is despite introducing a security code just a few weeks ago. I don't want to rely on biometrics as my phone screen could break and my phone is old, while using the verification code is no problem. If it remains optional I can continue using the app

Fairly easy to use and detailed transactions. I would ask for daily interest in the jars but can live with that as is. The thing that really annoyed me was that they changed the rate graph for a currency block that's completely useless. Bring back the graph that was great to see oscillations in the selected currency exchange, please. Edit: to the one person who answered my review. You are precisely making my customer experience personally worse and perhaps someone else's. No more space, sorry.

I couldn't get it to work. when it asked me to set up for bank debit, I selected to pay with another method. The app got stuck and would not move beyond the spinning currency symbol with intermittent text saying 'just a minute", "working on it", and "almost done". No, it wasn't almost done and never made it to the next screen. Last time I needed to pay with Wise, I got a friend to do it from their account. I guess I'll have to keep doing it that way.

Trying to transfer money from Norway to US. Will not work whatsoever. Tried to close account and reopen it as customerservice suggested, and now I can't open it at all. Tried to open new account with different email, but same result. Been trying for days, different ways, as they suggest, but nothing works. Absolutely a horrible app. Also Tried online on computer, also same result. Update. Called wise, and they can only link accounts in UK, US and Canada. Not 160 countries as rhey claim.

Always been a wonderful app. Been using it for about 6 years now. However not pleased with being forced to include job occupation now before sending a transfer and no way around it. That's not your business. Another feature that's missing imo is the ability to set alerts when the exchange rate hits rates set by the user. Some other apps like Xe do this. But it'd be great to use one less app to check rates.

Transferwise and Wise have been good in the past and very fair fx rates, but very frustrating experience to verify my account. Inefficient and conflicting emails and in app messages received and multiple requests for the same documents. I wish to transfer money to my own account to pay household bill that are due, and it's taking up a load of time and much frustration.

Recently, this app has been unreliable. My past 4 transfers have taken more than 3 business days which has made things very frustrating. It used to be instant, but now I know to plan a week ahead so I'm not late on a bill. It's extra frustrating when I have money in the process of transferring and a scheduled direct payment is due and Wise has the audacity to tell me I have insufficient funds.

Their website was not clear on how much to wire in for a transfer. Most places had the amount that did not include a $3.52 fee so I ended up short $3.52. Both the app and the website gave an option to send $3.52 less but both gave an error and wouldn't allow. I spent 1.5 hrs on the phone with their support but all they could offer is that I submit a technical support claim. They couldn't get the transaction to send with $3.52 less nor use funds from my wise account. Lost almost $40 in end.

I love Wise and have been using it for years through its various incarnations. But this afternoon the mobile app went wonky while using it to authenticate my desktop login, and now it will no longer open on my phone. I found an update here on the Play Store, but that doesn't work either. I've restarted my phone several times. But when I click on Wise, it flashes open then disappears.

No complaints about their services but Wise used to have such cool UX and UI and their cards had a lot of character too. Now the app looks cheap and generic and the new cards are so thin that you can see where the chip goes in on the backside! Not to mention, they're ugly as well. At least so far, they've kept their bright green color, but with how things are going they'll probably change that to black, white, grey or beige pretty soon! Hire a better design team, maybe.

It used to be good. But now, it asks me to prove my identity. It asks me to upload the proof of address, and when I do and hit continue, it does not move on and asks for the proof of address. I tried uploading it again and again but it just cannot move on. No errors or warning. Just the same "Upload the proof of address" page coming up again and again. Tried this from 2 different phones and a bunch of browsers. It just won't work. Edit:Seriously, if u don't want me to use the app just say so!

Unnecessarily hard to navigate and use half the time with an interface that at times just doesn't work. Even the annoying pop-up feedback form was broken! It's hard to feel like my information and transfers are safe and secure when such details were not caught before release.

Wise has been the easiest, fastest way to spend money abroad, with the ACTUAL exchange rates instead of getting jacked on rates. I just received the card for travel, and I look forward to putting it to good use. What I hate, though, is that you initiate an exchange to put money in your account via ACH, and it leaves one account and doesn't show up in the other account for a week sometimes! That is shady. It shows up eventually, but money should not ever disappear like that.

Once the initial transfer information (sender/recipient/banking) has been set up, the process from start to finish is eye-blinkingly fast. The app is very intuitive; perhaps even smoother than the online process, and setting up the app after initially opening my account with TansferWise a few weeks ago was a breeze. Each time I use it it seems that the app is actually faster and more intuitive. ⬇️ Update: Authenticator pairing fails and has the potential to lock me out of my own account.

Was great for transferring money internationally when living abroad. However, they've started charging a stabilization fee to guarantee the quoted conversing rate. This added ~$50 to the transfer. Stated it'll be refunded if not needed. But why need it in the first place?!? They've quoted a set conversion price, this additional fee changes the quoted price no matter what they call it. It's still the best app I've found for international transfers. We'll see if they actually refund it.
