Some thoughts: 1. Optimization is bad: I have 116 things in my Download folder and when i open it, literally freezes for almost 2-3 seconds... While other file managers instantly opens it. 2. Can't even compress 150MB of mixed file types .jpg .png .xml .so in folders and it throws me out with an error that Maybe I don't have enough storage while i have more then 10 GB. 3. Few options in settings: Like what if I want to set the compression mode to store. No option for it.

Didn't work for a multi part unzip download. Instead unzipped them separately making the file unusable.

Junk, best avoid, just tried to unzip a big file on this phone and sat there for ever doing nothing except mass adverts blocking the phone out. Unzipped on computer and uploaded back to phone less agro

This app doesn't work just doesn't. Inbuilt phone files can open the zip file no neeed of this app which is neither fast nor reliable

Crashes within moments of opening. Can't even get 1% of a file extracted before it kills the app. Do not use. Pixel 5a.

Not genuine WinZip. Lot of ads and very poor quality features. Lot of complaints have been posted. But no response given by owners. Better stay away from this App.

Edit: The app seems to be working normally for me now. Thanks for fixing the bug, Winzip developers! My original review: Good app for security purposes, as far as password protecting my files goes. It was working fine until I upgraded my phone to Android 12, now the app crashes whenever I try to open it (the Android OS came up with a message saying the app was crashing because of a bug) so I can't access my password protected files, fortunately I've found a temporary workaround for this problem.

It doesn't seem that this UnZip tool is up and running. It takes a long time to respond after keytap. Maybe its my phone.

First, as with every app, there ARE users that can't resist leaving a sour review, regardless of their situation so, three things. One, it DOES work and it DOES do what it was designed to do. Two, the app is still in the beta phase; tell the designers where the app needs fixed, and NOT where they screwed up designing it. And, three, the only reason that I rated it 4/5 stars, is because 5/5 is 'perfect', and although you CAN'T buy the app, you CAN subscribe to it. Oh, well...

UPDATE 4-23-24: BEEN USING WINZIP, NOW DOESNT HAVE A PERMISSION SETTING FOR STORAGE IT GIVES ERROR: "LOAD FROM EMAIL FAILED". I NEVER DOWNLOAD ZIPS FROM EMAIL!!!!! STAY WITH WINRAR OR OTHER ZIP PROGRAMS. 11/2019 I've been using WinZip for years on my computer. I'm very disappointed because this program won't do a thing. I tried unzipping files, won't do it, gives me error, tried zipping a file, same results. Downloaded Winrar and it does everything this program can't!

This is the same WinZip app I used in the past when I worked in IT. It's pretty straightforward, easy to use, and there are good help documents if you get stuck or have trouble zipping/unzipping files.

First off, just because an app works for YOU doesn't mean it works on all phones/platforms. I use a Google Pixel and the app simply crashed (after a long loading wait) every time I tried to open a file folder. Tried redownloading it, same result. It needs a lot of work before this is usable.

I sure would love to use this app, but it is nowhere to be found. I've installed it, restarted my ASUS chromebook, searched my apps and files, tried interacting with zipped files to see if the drop-down menu was affected by having WinZip downloaded, but no dice. Can't try installing it again because Google Play claims it's installed already.

I started zipping a few gigabytes of files. There isn't any progress bar, so I left it to work for three hours to be absolutely safe. When I came back, nothing had happened—it was still on the progress screen. I downloaded ES file explorer and got it finished within 10 minutes. They even had a progress bar.

At first I got corrupted file error mesages. Waiting through a slightly different looking ad, (you exit ad via a banner on top, not an "X"), I was able to choose a storage location and which app to read the unzipped doc. I think this app works very good, no other problems yet. If you get an error, try again. It always (sofar!) works on the second try. LOL!

Free version is far too intrusive and far too limited. It doesn't even let you use basic encryption. When the ads are over every single tab, it has to reload a new one every time you go anywhere, and then sometimes a huge pop-up fills your entire screen. Better free versions of this type of software exist. Avoid like the plague.

I can't understand what everyone is complaining about. This app worked great. I've used WinZip for years and yes they always find a way to get paid. But really, is $2 going to break you when you're using your $800 phone? I extracted multiple zip files them re-uploaded them to my G-drive no problems. Also used the extractor to put files directly into folders. I'm only giving it 4 stars because it does occasionally glitch when opening zip files. Had to reboot a couple of times. Otherwise great app

Useless and time consuming. I used to love this app but now it doesn't even display my files ony SD Card. The user manual is outdated and I have to go to my files just to select the folder to unzip. I used to be able to select/unzip multiple files. Instead of an update, this app has been downgraded. I wouldn't recommend it if you need multiple files from your external storage unzipped without going through a bunch of time consuming steps. It should've stayed as simple as it used to be

I downloaded it to unzip a file. Litterally could not get it to do that. Gives me plenty of options up front: storage, file, dropbox, or google drive. When I try the cloud options I have to make some sort of purchase which came with an ad making it unclear if I had to buy that app/product or something internal to winzip. When I tried the storage option it wasnt set up to write to an SD card. Said it had to be rooted...What? Suffice to say, overly complicated for an uncomplicated issue.

Horrible. No option to download zip files straight from the app. The files don't show in the folder they are saved. I had to manually send each zip file, after making each zip file, to my email, download it and then attach it to the email I needed to send. And there is an add every time you try to re-enter the app. So if you're manually sending out zip files, that's a lot of time wasted.
