Games like this must be praised. Optional IAP's OR you can grind. It's not the most in depth game, gameplay is basic, simple and repetitive. But it's a good, quick time waster/filler that allows you to progress through grinding or paying and is not riddled with mandatory ads anywhere. No glitches that I've seen, runs smoothly and works properly.

It's a pretty fun game but it doesn't really change over time so it goes old quickly. It also sends notifications and there's nowhere in the app to turn it off. I really hate it when developers tell you to just turn off the notifications on your phone as the app is still actively sending notifications to your phone, it's just muting them. That's a nonsense answer lazy programming. You're shovingads in my face the whole time I'm playing the least you can do is not notify me when I don't want them

Extremely simple and derivative, about as stock-standard as you can get, but you could do far worse as far as this specific genre of defense game goes. No forced ads from what I saw, no real active time/grind gating showed up either. Not sticking with it myself, but if you want a quick and simple distraction that takes little time, this is for you.

Can be fun at stages. The grind is unbelievably strong with this game and there are certainly better titles with the same concept. Good if you don't really play regularly and only want to waste time. Other than that I recommend looking into other titles. Solid 3 out of 5 stars for the effort but having IAPs that allow players to just become powerful at the start is rather unappealing to me. So that leaves me on the fence at a 2 star rating. Could be better but not bad.

It's fun for quite awhile but it does get boring and extremely repetitive after a couple days. I've never needed to change my lineup and I win levels 99% of the time and when I don't it's because I put it down, otherwise it's the same 4 spells and I never lose. Also, I wish gold would accumulate when the game isn't on. Since it's the same thing round after round, you might as well let us speed the boring process up lol. Doubt I'll play this much longer, it's just something to do when bored.

Edit: uninstalled after realizing you can't obtain event heroes without paying $9.99 for a unique building that, presumably, needs to be repurchased once the next event starts. Other events lock heroes behind a separate, $9.99 pass. Also, the token storage cap of 50 makes getting certain upgrades nearly impossible without a specific, infrequent buff or buying them outright, with some upgrades costing 200 tokens. Once I hit prestige ranks I lost all motivation and incentive to keep playing.

Its fun to play, but instructions are lacking or inadequate. After days of playing I figured most of it out. A few bugs, resetting choices for 5 tokens doesnt work. After my token storage filled and I was not collecting more, I struggled to find what else they were used for since nothings mentions this? Game freezes, got stuck in Challenges with no button to exit. Not bad, but by level 50, it's monotonous and uninteresting.

Not a tower defense game. This is some weird hybrid idle game where you just endlessly upgrade defenses to defeat endless waves of enemies. The idle aspect is that you can leave the game on to auto-battle for you or to generate cash. But you can't do those things with the app closed. If you're looking for a true tower defense game I would look elsewhere, this isn't interesting or strategic in any way.

It's simple and repetitive. Can be decent while waiting at a doctor's office or something like that. Although there gets to a point where it's hard to improve and you feel stuck. Any improvement after a certain point comes in such small increments that tougher levels need way too much grinding. Also had to turn the music off early on. Just one song on loop.

Not bad. Was fun up until wave 100. Anything past that is a slow drag. Very repetitive. There's an uncomfortably large amount of upgrades and options. Too many. No base mods or customization. No maps. No 'splash' damages or slows. Really bound by what your towers can do. Upgrade costs and multiple objects to upgrade became more of a job than a fun experience.

Fun little time-waster for long or short bursts; has more depth the longer you play, with more things opening up as you move along. Not a true tower defense, so don't go in expecting that. However, it is a wall defense game, where you build up your castle, basic defenses & heroes, as well as a small town management to earn resources. Enjoying my time with this very much- a welcome distraction for even busy people!

Simple to play, and enjoyable, however if find that to build gold i need to leave the game open 24x7 and replay levels over and over. When I do this it tends to over heat my phone and it just got to where I was getting concerned about my phone. I did adjust graphics and all settings to low and it didn't help that much. I do love the game just don't want to destroy my phone while playing it.

It's so simple, I can't call it tower defense, but it's still very enjoyable. Waves of monsters roll towards your castle, and your defenders shoot them down. Upgrade to use more heroes, towers and archers, and enhance the abilities of the defenders and the castle itself. It's an endless loop, but it has stayed fun past level 300, so the devs did something right. Ads are optional, never thrust in your face. Recommended.

Early review, but if my opinion changes later then I'll update it. Seems pretty fun so far. I can see myself getting a bit addicted to this game. I don't know what kind of ad situation there is for this yet, unfortunately. Hopefully, it's an ad-by-choice game and not an ads-by-force type. The game is pretty standard. Build up your forces and try to defeat the next wave. Nothing too complicated and the tutorial does a well enough job showing you the ropes.

I've grown weary of TD games that start out ok, then suddenly turn stupidly impossible at a certain level. So, this game caught my eye. User reviews made it clear that, while repetitive, you could advance and grow if you're willing to grind and watch some advertising. On this front, yes -- Wild Castle indeed is a game you can keep playing and playing, and I'd like to thank the developers for this. If you're looking for a frustration-free TD game, go ahead and install it. But what needs to happen now is for the game to evolve so that there's more to do. In the game right now, with all the loot you earn from the perpetual grinding, you can upgrade your heroes, upgrade your turrets, and/or invest in various perks so that you can... uh you guessed it … keep grinding. The game is in desperate need for more ways to benefit from the work you put into it. How about more ways to design and develop your town, how about some adventures and campaigns, how about some events where you choose certain heroes to got toe-to-toe with certain villains, how about puzzles that we can solve for special rewards, how about the ability to occupy new castles and expand one's kingdom. Just anything to break the monotony. The opportunity is there, but right now, the game is just a repetitive dead-end, good for about a week or two of engagement.

Heavy pay to win game. It's fun but the only way to get any real progress is by paying $5-$12 regularly. I paid the $12 to get rid of ads completely and that has huge perks, but the game is a time and money suck. The main game has no free rewards, the passive collections are abysmal and sometimes don't work when away from game. The seasonal event income collection is ridiculous, 1 every 10 secs with no way to improve, unless you pay 12$. Fun game, but they just want your money.

Was unaware that you had to pay every time you wanted an event town bonus. Figured once you unlocked it that was it Very unclear on what you are purchasing. Was not wanting to spend the money but figured it was enjoyable enough that I would go ahead and do so. Spent $11 on the monthly event with only 45 minutes left in the event to find out that as soon as the event ended so did my town bonus. Do not believe the 4.8 star review. This is a 2 star game at absolute most with the ridiculous charges.

was fun. was addicted. $0 spent, but the grind is a bit endless. i want to get more towers and upgrade the towers to the fullest, but... the item system is too tedious. you have to delete each one one by 1. keeping track of the stats on each is horrible... it's just turns me away from wanting to upgrade and keep the grind going... was fun while it lasted but, i guess parts of the game could use serious changes and I'd drop a few $$ for keeping me entertained.

The game is enjoyable enough. If you play it spec into XP and gold first or else you will be sending real $ lategame. The ads are terrible though. They are over 45 seconds long. Then you have to wait another 5 or 10 seconds for the X to close the ad. On top of that it has side loaded 2 games on me when i was trying to click out of the ad. Im unistall8ng because I dont trust it.

Enjoyable for a while. This game has just the right balance of passivity/interactivity for a mobile game. The game has a lot of progression paths that are comfortably introduced. It is perfectly enjoyable to play as a free player. However, if you did want to pay, the prices are outrageous. The killer is that the difficulty and progression just evaporates at a certain point. Wave 400 was the biggest challenge I faced, but since then it's been absolute auto play up to 850 and I don't see the point
