Brilliant app. Wondered what was going on with my Linux PC. Ran this app, walked towards my set-up and watched in horror as the signal disappeared into the mouth of C'Thulu. It tracks various aspects of the ambient WiFi and is very light in the system. Would especially recommend to those moving home so you can check for hot and cold spots in your new place.

The app is nice but it shares the same deep flaw that almost all wifi monitor apps have: they show you ALL visible networks (in my case more than 30 or 40!) instead of just the ones that you are actually interested in monitoring. Then the charts are virtually impossible to read. There should be a way to select which SSIDs to monitor (say, by regular expression matching the SSIDs). EDIT: Added one more star because of the fast response of the developer.

Automatically starts and cannot stop it. Good idea but need to be able to turn in and off. Who would need it on all time? Few people if any. Despite you saying turn it off as a reply to the above IT TURNS ITSELF BACK ON SHORTLY AFTER BEING TURNED OFF! if you do not know this then I would be very surprised as you wrote the code. Clearly there is a timer built in that turns it back on if its been turned off. As another reviewer says it drains battery that is why I want it off. The software is good and useful. But it needs to stay off when turned off. Happy to try update and test and report back.

Freezes on start. Unusable. Edit: got it working after a couple of attempts. It's not bad at all, but there are a couple of minor issues, such as the Channels and Bands tabs not showing info until I turned off mobile/cellular connection. Edit: responsive and helpful developer (thanks for the feedback).

Very good so far. Can't turn on to keep app open. Would be great if could display frequency of connection in the slide down, so can tell without having to go into app. Edit: Still using it having moved to a new phone. To the problem if you don't want the app active, but change your mind later, there's no option in settings to turn it back on. Reinstall and select it to stay on is the best bet. Edit: Added a star, Dev added frequency used to drop down, so can easily tell which band connected to!

Works well. The chart update is kind of slow, so I usually restart the app every time I need fresh data if I survey interference around the house. Update: I was already thinking about paying for ad removal but the app started to perform not well. It says "no data available" most of the time instead of showing the chart, so mostly useless.

Absolutely fantastic tool. Imidiately I was able to reveal crucial info about the state of my network, and the app showed me the channels all surrounding wifi networks use, so I can pick a channel least used, and get the most out of my net performance! Color coded, easy to comprehend, it's a MUST, absolutely essential, especially if you're not getting the best speeds - most likely you're on the crowded channel and this app will tell you what to switch to for best performance. Thank You!

Not able to switch off easily when not in use. Continues running in the background even if the app is closed. Programmers seem to think I want to monitor the Wi-Fi 24/7/365. And that during that time I, want notifications every few seconds. I have better things to do with my time. The app did the job as required and does it well. But I should be able to run it only when required.

Does what it says on the box! Neat app. Edit: After using it for some time now, it really is great. All the info you need is there, but very simple interface. 10 out of 10! 12/03/21 Edit. I use this app daily. I have 3 access points in my home and can monitor who is connected, and which AP they are using, very easily and quickly. I like the function to remember/name a device for the future. I can't recommend this app too highly.

Since the last update only the "connection" tab shows information, all the other tabs are blank.

I don't like how much data collection it does, the consent dialog for personalised ads lists more than 70 different companies that can access all this data. I don't think an app like this even needs to communicate with third parties.

Reliable indicator of all WiFi activity around you. Useful for troubleshooting marginal networks, interference, channel utilization, congestion and so on. Good detail on both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. A trustworthy app.

This App seems to work efficiently and without any real reasons to cause trouble for the User. I have no experience with this type of App.. But I soon learned what to do..

Pretty good app. It needs some tweaking. But it might be taken care in might ok in the pay version. Also a little bit slow which depend on how many routers are in your community. Thanks much appreciated.

This appears to be a fine app except that the Android platform doesn't offer a way for it to work without enabling location access. Knowing my Wi-Fi BSSID lets someone figure out my location. Maybe Android should offer a standalone (disconnected) environment that lets useful apps like this one function without risk of the data leaks Android is concerned about. But that's a failure of the Android platform, not this app.

I haven't yet identified all of my devices listed in the scan mode but when the task is complete I expect to see unauthorized users. I need to learn how to do that and if it can be done within this app. When I identified my devices I forgot to use the proper icons that note the type of device and there seems to be no way to go back and do that, disappointing but not a deal breaker. I also need to know if unauthorized users can see my devices identifications.

Developer responded pointing out that all wifi-detecting apps require location permission now. I guess all the similar apps I have on my devices were from before this weird requirement. (*Why* it's a requirement, I can't imagine since the two apps I have find nearby networks just fine without intrusive permissions.) I'm taking down this review, but wanted to post this update/reply so the developer would know I'd seen and understood the response. PREVIOUS: Blocks most features unless you allow the app location access, which isn't necessary for any of those features. Similar apps can scan networks, channels, strength, etc without location access.

Worked perfectly immediately after install. Does exactly what it says it will do. I've tried similar apps and they all worked from the get-go though this app is one of the easiest and clearest to use. I was expecting ads all over the screen based on the complaints I read but the only ads I found were across the bottom of the screen and I almost didn't notice them.
