WICShopper WILL NOT WORK IN OTHER STATES. We are adding new states all the time, so please check back soon if you participate in another WIC program!

Grocery shopping for foods allowed by your WIC* program can be confusing. Much of the problem is from not knowing exactly what products you can purchase with your WIC benefits. WICShopper is here to help you shop with confidence. Using WICShopper, you can check the WIC eligibility of products while you shop! In all of our supported WIC programs, you can use your phone to scan products to check their WIC eligibility.

In most supported states, you may register your eWIC card, then automatically download your CURRENT benefits every time you shop! WICShopper doesn’t just tell you if the product is WIC eligible… it tells you if you have enough WIC benefits left to purchase the product!

In states that use "smart cards" such as Texas, New Mexico and Wyoming it is not possible to load your prescription because it is stored on your card. In these states, you can use the app to capture and store an image of your benefits to use the next time you shop.

We are adding new states as quickly as possible, so if your state isn't listed please check back soon! To learn more about WICShopper, please visit our website @ www.ebtshopper.com.

Stopped working! I don't know what happened but Sept 7th or 8th I go to pick my son's WIC up and this app no longer works! I thought it needed an update but it was fine! Uninstalled 3 different times in the middle of the store, thought it was their wifi so I disabled ans used my data, same issue, still tells me it isn't responding... So I had to download another app and its literally the same thing as the paper form you get to show what you can get in picture form.

It's a good app. It takes away any confusion having to go off the paper that's printed off for you. And a lot of places don't have WIC signs, so the app gives you an option to view all the WIC accepted foods. It'll even tell you what you're signed up for. The best part about the app is that once it's linked to your card, it'll show you your balance left for all the items.

It's nice to scan the barcode to make sure you can get it before you get to the register. It gets confusing when it shows wic items but that doesn't mean you can get everything that's why it's good to scan it. Wish it only showed what you can get to make it easier but this is way better than the people at the register running back to get the correct item was very frustrating & Embarrassing. I used to not get it because it takes so much time and so humiliating where your not sure what items

I enjoy this app very much, it tells me exactly what foods I can buy. What is NOT on the list by the scanner which I use all the time. It's very helpful instead of having to get a paper out and be like ok which one again was this? Or have to scroll all the way through this app when some photos don't seem to come up. I also love the recipes for when I'm short on money to make quick foods for baby or even quick healthy snacks. I love the recipes added to this app. Very impressed.

It's ok, I guess... I used to use the AZ WIC app and it was fantastic! When I moved to NM, I thought it would be the same thing. I was wrong! This app doesn't work most of the time, it doesn't have an online version of the product booklet, and you can't load your card to it to check balances. Please, someone, look at the AZ WIC app and use it as a template.

The app is pretty easy to use and the scan an item feature is very helpful. It'd be nice if you could select what store you're at and it'd filter out all items that aren't there, so you knew what product to look for. Most of the products listed don't have pictures that load, so you doubt have a visual of what you're looking for.

Always ready to go without password foolishness or reentering card #. New bonus: when you reload, the list puts all empty entries (0 left) at the bottom. After 3 were used up, I can see everything without scrolling or thinking about things that are already done. Except the cereal - there's always a few oz. & fractions left, which can't be used, but trying to fix That might bite us later.

UPDATE: the day after I posted the below review, the app developer emailed me and said they were working on a fix. Then they fixed the bug within four hours of their email to me! 4 stars CONSTANT problems loading the product lists after selecting on the product category. This app worked for me exactly ONE time. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I've tried clearing cache. I've tried being on wifi and off wifi. Nothing works. It's hard to buy items when I can't pull a product list! 1 star

it's a pretty resourceful app, easy to use and information is easy to find. I give 4 starts only because the product descriptions are not always full and not everything has a picture. So you have to go double check on the list available which is not always up to date. Otherwise it work pretty well.

Tgus is a great app for anyone who really needs some resources. There are lots of cool articles and tips & tricks for different things. I love the produce calculator! It shows you how much each item per pound will be; plus, it saves each entry for next time you use the app. I also really appreciate the recipes portion under each item. There are lots of healthy cooking options and almost every ingredient in each recipe is WIC approved. This is THE most useful app I have ever come across.

This app is very simple. Took me a trip to figure it out. if you navigate the app before going into the store it would be helpful. The images for the product are slow to load. you can scan/type in the code and it will give you a Green yes/red no. There are several icons to help you. Barcode item # like for fruits that are hard to scan. Also tells you your benefits and how much and how many you can get. Once you pay for the items a red x shows up next to products if they've been used up.

This app is generally helpful. There are a few things that could be improved to make it easier while shopping. However, available items on app do not match at checkout. I learned the exact price of everything that was -and should have been- available. Many things do not have photos and using the calculator brings me back to my phone's home screen when I switch back to other benefits. When I scan items that match photos, it states it is not a wic item. Thankful for wic, but the app does not align

I have not been able to use in-store yet as I've just downloaded it at 12:39am. In Oklahoma, it says "My WIC Balance coming soon!", so I don't think I can add my card yet. The home screen of the app is very easy to read and find what you're looking for. I was able to set my monthly allowance and there's an option to upload WIC receipts. Hopefully, I can compare the two when I go to the store and see what I have left instead of calling in. Not that calling in is difficult, this just seems easier.

I love the idea of the app and the scanning feature. My biggest issue is with the benefits part where it says what's still available to get. It very rarely updates in a timely manner whatsoever, and I'm talking days, sometimes close to 2 weeks. Many times I thought I had more available than I did and got the stuff yet found out at the register I didn't have it anymore that month. There's no point in having a feature that is so unreliable.. back to just receipts to keep track of everything again.

This app is not reliable. It's difficult to look up items that are covered. I miss having the physical, cardstock pamphlet that lists what you can get as this is just a long list you have to scroll through to find the brand and item, and if you need another screen (like to check a barcode), you lose the list. And the barcodes won't even scan. I've had the app say something is not approved, but then it still goes through at the register.

WAS a good app. Used to be very helpful in stores (most of them) that didn't label items' price tags to let you know what was WIC approved. In the last months I was able to use it (early 2020) it was getting very slow. Scans would take a while to come back and sometimes would show an item as approved then a moment later switch to not approved. Eventually it was no longer supported in my state. Developer please edit your list of states.

This app is great and super easy to utilize during shopping. The bar code scanner is my favorite, it gives me reassurance that I am getting approved items before I get to the check out. The list of items for each section can be overwhelming because not all stores carry the same products. It is still helpful to see the variety of options, if I decide to mix it up for meal choices.

Super helpful. Very thankful they made this. So much better than just using a pamphlet and trying to pre plan then getting to the store and they don't have what you planned. The barcode scanner is the best feature. It's great but 2 improvements would be 1. letting you save items from the approved list straight to a shopping list and 2 that they would use the same exact names of things that are on the product or product tag in the approved list.

I'm so happy TN finally got a wic app!!! it's so easy to just scan barcodes in the store to see if a product is covered instead of going to checkout and being embarrassed when they say it's not and you don't want to get the item. one thing I wish was better is accurate pictures of items listed under certain categories instead of the generic cereal box for instance for every cereal even though they aren't all the same. I like the app though! I'm really glad we have it now!

Pretty straight forward to use. Has a lot of options to help you choose what location to go to, as well as what that store carries that is covered under your specified benefits. Even let's you use a barcode scanner on your phone to double-check and verify if you qualify for items. It also gives you a decent sized list of many different types of recipes to use regarding the items you're able to get.
