Welcome to What The Forecast Finally, there is an accurate Android weather app that will explain, in real terms, how nasty it is outside. You will never again wonder if you should just go back to bed (which, of course, you should). Sometimes, it is better to just give up and try again tomorrow.

Makes weather fun. The forecasts aren't as accurate as other apps but it does make up for it by being fun. I think they should add an option about got your feel about the weather in the settings. For example I'm a snowboarder and when the weather is sunny and above freezing I'm not thrilled. Adding the option to say you are happy, indifferent, or upset with the weather and then finding phases that line up with your feeling would be awesome.

It was a fun app and used to be accurate, but lately it won't update anymore. It tells me it's 45 and sunny outside when it's actually 20 and snowing, it shows the night background in the middle of the day, and it won't update my location while travelling, either automatically or manually. No amount of refreshing or cache clearing solves the problems. It was fun while it lasted, but I need a weather app that actually tells me the weather.

The ads have gotten annoying. I understand ads are part and parcel of a free app and seeing them at the bottom of the screen was never a big deal. Unfortunately, the current version has ad videos auto playing and you can't exit out. I end up at the Play store's download page for whatever the ad is selling and navigating back to the app takes you back to the ad. It's annoying & frustrating. I used to recommend WTForecast. Not anymore.

Edit: app was updated and fixed. I updated my review. Does what it's supposed and has funny weather. ///I downloaded it because the previous one I had had become defunct. The app and widget was working great, but now the widget just tells me to tap the blue box to sync. And when I do, I just repeatedly get the same-worded forecast. I just recently downloaded it, and less than a month later, it doesn't work.

Mixed feelings about this app. Using this on two phones, and it seems to work fine. but I recently ported both phones to The Ting mobile service. Now when I open the app it says location services is off. but when I check, it most certainly is turned on. the app seems to load okay. But I'm greeted with this pop up everytime I open it. Any other settings I need to look at?

UPDATED: Developer discovered the cause of the issues and quickly rolled out an update to correct the problem. Original review below: Like many others, my app is stuck on an old weather status/forecast and won't update. I've cleared the cache, force-stopped it, etc and even when I start it all over and it reloads, it's still (drastically) wrong information. It's been days and it's not worth spending any more time messing with at this point. Too bad, it's a fun weather app when it actually works.

Weather with humor! I reached out with a suggestion to the developer about adding a small feature & not only were they amenable to the idea, they implemented it as well. The free version is great, but the small fee to get widgets & the full app is worth it. Nearly all my friends use this app. We're constantly trading screenshots of the random sayings. I also love that I can see what the weather is for my international friends without hassle. AWESOME APP!!!

Update: I reached out to the developer and within a few hours had a response from Billy. He offered a bunch of things to try and the first one on the list worked. So, for all of you who also encounter the blank blue screen, clear as much internal storage as possible. Worked like a charm. Original Review: I used to love WTForecast. It was the only weather app that reported barometric pressure. Now, however, I just see a blank blue screen. (Device: Galaxy S9)

This was always one of my favorite weather apps, I loved the widget, and I was happy to support it with the paid version. However, slipping in Taboola adware that pops up every other time I unlock my phone is a HUGE red flag for me. I'd caution anyone against downloading this app until the intrusive pop-ups (that happen when the app isn't even open) are gone.

Update to prior review from 2017: I've had this app for 4+ years and suddenly whenever I check it, the picture and temperature no longer make sense. If I "force stop" it, it changes to the correct temperature (compared to other apps) and the background makes sense again. Not sure what's happened recently to cause it to do this. 2017: I just found this app and it makes my day! Hilarious and accurate so far.

I love the app, but a few nuances... if there's some type of "extreme" weather the app will notify you, but it provides no details other than something like winter weather advisory... I have to go to another app to get any details on the advisory, including times that the advisory is in effect e.t.c another one is that you will get the notification every few minutes, no matter how many times you clear it from your phone. I've cleared it 5 times in the last fifteen minutes, but it still shows up

I love this app, but lately, I'm having nothing but issues. From reverting to 'anytown,usa' when switching from portrait to landscape mode, to now, the widget completely vanishing from the homescreen entirely, even after uninstalling & reinstalling, removing & replacing, syncing & resyncing, it refuses to work on my Samsung Galaxy S9. When it works, this is a great & fun app. When it doesn't, it's just frustrating. Edit- uninstalled & reinstalled a 3rd time & it seems to be working.

Had to edit my review, I absolutely loved this app, but...for some reason it stopped working. After an update the screen on the app was just a solid color. No more windmill, no more awesome snarky phrase, no more weather. I could look up the hourly forecast, and set a pic as the background, but no longer had all the benefits of the app. Uninstalled the app, reinstalled, closed it out, adjusted the settings etc. Nothing changed. Such a let down, because it was a great app.

Hilarious! Great app! Also, I purchased the widget, had it for a few months and it all of a sudden stopped working. I reached out to the developer, explaining the problem. He got right back to me, offering me a refund while he worked on the problem. Sayin I could still keep the widget for free when fixed. A few days later the widget was back up and running!! Very professional! Nothing but respect from me. Thanks.

Uninstalling. Every time I log into the app I am now greeted with a privacy notice. It states that data will be shared, and that you can opt out in the privacy settings. The only way to proceed is to accept the sharing, and then go directly to the settings to turn it off. Every. Single. Time. No thank you. One opt out should suffice. Loved the snark and witty weather commentary, but not worth being pushed into sharing data.

It's a good funny app. I paid so i could have the widgit on my home screen however when I tap on the widgit it opens my clock/alarm app instead of the weather app but if i click on the town name at the very top of the widget, it opens just fine. It's done this on 3 different phones of mine. It's not the most annoying thing, but I thought I'd let you know so maybe it can be fixed?

I've been using this weather app for years and I love it, it's easy to navigate and more accurate for rain than other weather apps I've seen, not to mention it has fun customizations, and says silly things to me when I go to check the weather. The only thing I don't like is that I have to pay for the widgets, I understand why because the developer has to make money somewhere but it just sucks I can't use the widgets without paying.

I have used this app for years and years. It was my go to weather app. I really enjoy the profanity and sayings. Absolutely makes my day. BUT, when I switched to a new phone, I could not find a way to have the temp show up in my notifications bar. I have checked and rechecked my settings. I have restarted my phone. It just isn't there anymore. I switched from an S10 To an S22 ultra. I am going to have to switch weather apps to keep an eye on the temps

Paid for the ad free version and whatnot. Although not a lot of money in the slightest. I do feel like i should be able to get accurate weather with or without ads. The weather has been wrong on multiple occasions when compared to other outlets. It stopped giving me where I am and just says "current location" and also gets some writers. The comedy was unmatched before now I feel like I could tell better jokes. Overall freaking love this app. Please keep it that way.

I like the app itself, but I'm really sick of being asked to allow it to share/sell my data every. Single. Time. I open the app. I can opt-out, at least, but the fact that it won't save that choice and keeps making me opt-out literally every time I open the app is getting on my nerves. Really wish the developer would just let me make my selection once and save it, instead of pestering me every time.
